Sara, hint: Most truck drivers get a free shower for both drivers of the truck each time they fuel it (since it costs $ a thousand or more to fill the truck each time)... If you stand in line at the fuel desk where the big trucks pay, it is easy to strike up a conversation with whoever is in line with you... Often you can get a comp'd shower from one of those folks since their free showers add up on their accounts, and they personally will never use them all.

Put solar lights in chandelier and make sure it is in the sun during day. Then place it in tent at night. I have lots of chandeliers hanging in my trees and at night they are so beautiful You can also take lights out of chandelier put in sun then just put them back in chandelier.

Hi there WH! I used to be a lot of things, firefighter, construction worker, fishing guide blah blah, but I was also a trucker. Those showers at LOves and Pilot are definitely expensive. I always liked the Eastern Sierras. It's not as crowded as the western side. Having lived in Lake Tahoe back in 77 we did a lot of traveling up an down Highway 395. Going over a Sierra pass is like going from the Swiss Alps to the Gobi desert in the span of 30 minutes. Took a trip over Sonora pass about a week after it opened this June and there was still 6 feet of snow at the top. A great winter, spring, and summer. Keep the Faith.

The 76 station here in Fernley has new owners. The food has gone downhill and so is the service. I’m sorry you had a bad experience there, but all the locals here in Fernley feel the same. We love you here.
Those showers are earned as rewards for buying fuel (50 gallons) at those truck stops. If you wandered around (like a lot lizard) you probably could have scored a free shower from some truck driver that had an excessive credit of showers(they expire after 7 or 10 days). You have to find the nice drivers, most of them are nice, my dad was a truck driver and he was nice.
Gotta be careful with that today due to membership card being used for shower redemption. Your “guest” cleans out the place or causes damage they know who you are

Research N-Acetyl Cysteine and Glycine. The combination is supposed to be really good for the lungs and breathing. I have not tested the affects with playa dust.

Yes, they charge $16. I took a camping road trip across the U.S. 2 years ago, and that's what I paid at Pilots. The shower room was large, spacious, and clean with no time limits.

Lots to see in the 48 states , In 2 years I retire and will head out in my old 4x4 overland truck I'm building , oh yea , I will do a gazebo thingy like you did, very pretty and comfy . I often don't travel to the same spots , i do want to do burning man once . Back in the day when I was merried and had horses we would go every year to the chuck wagon races , exciting stuff , but I won't go back now . Next adventure ! If ya ever cross the rockies east , you can camp on my land or the Ouachita national forest , And visit one of the first national reserves, Hot Springs National Park. Peace woman. Safe travels.

Yeah, that friend lives in Tacopa and that's where she now lives. If you recall he's kind of a loaner, and is originally from Australia. She also went to New York with him to help him clear out his apartment there.

I think Larry is an American friend of hers, not the Aussie, but heck. It's been so long ago, and I tend not to remember the things that aren't affecting my life personally anymore. I remember the dead bird episode a little. Didn't remmeber her going to Landers. The main thing I remember about Landers has nothing to do with Sarah. It is the huge earthquake many many years ago. My mom was a geology major. After the earthquake we went out into the 'middle of nowhere' outside of Landers where the fault lifted on one side and dropped on the other, creating an over 6 foot difference in the height of the ground! @@patricialandrum7366
My parents live in Barstow. The earthquake and aftershocks damaged the swimming pool's tiles around the waterline and cracked the cement decking around the pool. They felt aftershocks for months after the original quake. @@patricialandrum7366

Truckers get shower credits because they use hundreds of $ of diesel.

Pilot/Flying J shower credits don't expire any more. They stopped the expiry about a year or two before the pandemic.

OMG Sarah , the sky’s the limit for you . I remember when you reached a hundred and I think you were in a pool of some sort at your friends house during Covid . It was great but this is phenomenal, but of course, you’re the bestest of the best❤
Yeah, that friend lives in Tacopa and that's where she now lives. If you recall he's kind of a loaner, and is originally from Australia. She also went to New York with him to help him clear out his apartment there.

I think Larry is an American friend of hers, not the Aussie, but heck. It's been so long ago, and I tend not to remember the things that aren't affecting my life personally anymore. I remember the dead bird episode a little. Didn't remmeber her going to Landers.
The main thing I remember about Landers has nothing to do with Sarah. It is the huge earthquake many many years ago. My mom was a geology major. After the earthquake we went out into the 'middle of nowhere' outside of Landers where the fault lifted on one side and dropped on the other, creating an over 6 foot difference in the height of the ground! @@patricialandrum7366

My parents live in Barstow. The earthquake and aftershocks damaged the swimming pool's tiles around the waterline and cracked the cement decking around the pool. They felt aftershocks for months after the original quake. @@patricialandrum7366
