Being called a black man was something that the white slave masters called the African slaves in America. My hair is black but my skin tone is not , I’m an African American who doesn’t know his tribe due to slavery.
I'm sure they meant well when they said black americans to date we call them black americans because they behave different from Africans despite the fact that they are Africans. Infact when black americans come to africa they behave more like white people.
You should also understand that English, despite some Africans seemingly fluent, is a second language. I think in this context she meant dating a non Ugandan.

Good interview, western black men want real long term love, they are tired of being not appreciated. I am a foreigner, have lived in Africa, worked in Africa, and am from America and family from a country very similar to Africa, Haiti.
She's wearing braids!!! That shows how much you know about women's beauty products. SMH. There nothing wrong with wearing braids/hair extensions or even weaves or wigs sometimes, so long as you are not dependent on them. Stop criticizing how women dress. And this is coming from someone who has worn my hair natural my whole life and only permed it twice but did not it permed longer than a year both times.
I have locks... but that doesn't make me better than someone who flat irons their hair once in a while. Or some woman who wants to wear braids, twist or any other hair extensions or accessories. It's literally part our heritage and if you're of african descent you would know that.... there were wearing hair pieces/adding braids for generations. Perming only became popular in the 1960s.....yes people need to embrace their natural beauty... but it takes time and they also need to find styles that work for their hair texture... and that takes trial and error. Stop judging people especially women you don't even know. Some of those women want variety, some of them have insecurities from society or from their parents and relatives criticizing their natural hair. Put yourself in their shoes and pray for them to have the confidence to embrace their natural hair and find a style that compliments their natural beauty. You can wear makeup and dress up like both of these women do and still look beautiful so long as it suits you. The instagram make-up doesn't suit everyone, you have to modify makeup to fit your natural look and keep it more simple. I get the message you are trying to convey i.e. you like natural haired BW... but your delivery is abrasive!! You should not have to drag another woman to compliment the women you like. I don't know why people in general feel the need to do that.

One observation , you keep referring to blacks born in the U.S. as "Black Americans" . They actually called African Americans here in the U.S. It's actually offensive to them when you call them black Americans because it does appear that you are cutting off thier link or attachment to Africa. If you notice , in the media, politics, schools, work , they are referred to as African Americans not black Americans.
Im totally confused with this comment because I've met black americans that do not want to be referred to as African-American and wish to be referred as a black american, It really depends on the person and how the view themselves and how they choose to identify. And i dont think these young ladies mean no harm when using the word foreigner in actuality yes he's a black man but is very much foreign to there culture and way of life the same way when a african, caribbean, or afro-latinos comes to america.
@@soleilantillean30 A few blacks might feel comfortable referring themselves as "Black Americans" but in general, it is African Americans.
