this is a 100% nail because I'm sure most people have erasers and u could probably use scissors to carve the shapes! this is great for people (like me) who don't have nail stamps at home! and it is way cheaper!😂😋

As I see it, the eraser is already ruined by carving it. And I'm sure we'd buy the pencil just for that purpose alone. So I think I may try it and see if it'll stamp better since it's a liquid which would transfer better then the sharpie. ☺
i mean you need to wash the polish of the eraser after, since it's a rough surface maybe it can crumbled with polish remover...

I'd use nail polish or paint instead of sharpie since sharpie dries alot faster.

It's not a fail but I think it's too much work and I wouldn't use them on my nails. I would use them (if I had the effort to make them) for regular stamps for crafting and art! Great video Janelle! Ilysm😘❤️

it does work better for your planner hehe maybe this idea on bigger erasers for kids to decorate stuff but for nails stamping plates are better

The nail hacks and designs I get are all from Pinterest so I hope it's ok to suggest things from there...
There is one design I like; crumpling aluminum foil into a ball and paint some polish on a section of the foil and dab it on your nail (on top of your base colour not your bare nail of course) and it creates a floral type look. It's insanely easy and dries quickly.

Another idea. Polyform Products makes Amazing Eraser Clay. It's basically modelling clay that hardens into usable erasers. No need to hack up your pencils!
Nice idea but like you said, there is so much more out there for nail art. I'd use this idea for crafts other than nail art though. Great tip about using a sharpie rather than a traditional stamp pad. Thanks - Rose
I tried the eraser stamp before but I used nail polish on the stamp. It did not work because the eraser was coming off onto my nail. I didn't try a Sharpie. Great video!

I think I would use it for stamping paper more than nails. And also I wonder if it would work with a large eraser.
My cousin made me a stamp like this but she also had a ink pad and she gave it to me to use like a stamp, works great

I'm thinking that I would prefer them as homemade stationary stamps since I don't like how sharpie looks on nails. Maybe you can try smoothing the edges out with a nail file next time so the shapes don't look like they are bleeding so much on the nail?

I wouldn't do this method. It's time consuming and takes a lot of effort. However, the end result was pretty cute❤️ I would definitely try it out on paper as paper stamps, but maybe not on my nails😊

I might do it if there was a shape I use often enouh, bit consider it a hassle to paint every time/ can't paint with polish. A plain heart, ot a simple flower, or a clover, maybe.
Maybe It will be working better with acrylic paint

I am wondering if a regular X-acto would have worked easier since the blade was so tiny it made it difficult to get more than a superficial cut each time. The tip would be the same on a longer blade but you would have more length to the cutting surface and I think it would be easier to cut OUT the part of the eraser you are trying to cut away. You would have maybe had to use less cuts and could have cleaner cuts as you got up close the image you were leaving

i'd sort of try this but my nails are way to small and the eraser would probably be much to big to fit the nail let alone come out with a pretty looking design.
