I love this! My son was due on the 2 year anniversary of my mom passing. It was so beautiful, it felt like she was with me through it all.
I’m so glad you had a positive birth experience. I’m pregnant right now and that’s, aside from health of my baby, my greatest hope. Yes, you had to have a c-section but you were ready for birth as well as Sage and you had a team of doctors and nurses that explained steps they were taking. There are so many stories out from women who say they felt out of the loop while others were deciding and taking steps they didn’t prepare for or didn’t want. I’m so glad, even though everything happened fast, you had time to prepare for the outcome and had a good team leading you through everything 😊 I wish your whole family, but especially Sage (cause it’s her moment 😊) a lot of health, happiness and God’s blessings 😊

A beautiful birth story. Especially since she arrived on the anniversary of Sam’s mothers passing. Just so that you aren’t giving misinformation you had an epidural not a spinal tap. A spinal tap is a test done where they remove some spinal fluid which is then tested for bacteria. An epidural is when they insert a small cannula in the area around the spinal cord to administer medication that blocks pain during surgery without putting the patient completely asleep with general anesthetic. There is a huge difference between the two different things. Babies are such a joy and a blessing and Sage is proof of the because she turned a very sad and painful day into something wonderful and to be celebrated and remembered with happiness and joy. Sam’s mother will still be missed, but now there is that special connection between her and Sage.

Lyndsey you look so amazing! Especially for just having a baby. But baby or not you are beautiful and so is your precious Sage. I had a c-section too but mine was traumatic and much different story from yours as I felt it. It is refreshing to hear about a successful one. What a wonderful blessing for you and you husband.

Congratulations on Beautiful Sage! What a blessing on the day she was born. Sage will no her Grandma and this day will always be shared with this Grandma, because memories of her will be told to Sage of her. So sweet she have her middle name. Lindsey until you have your baby then you understand the feelings your mom went through with you. When she grows up you still don’t lose that love it gets even stronger. You are Sam will be wonderful parents! Thanks for sharing!

My cousin’s wife gave birth to their 2nd son on May 18th. Just the day before, in the same hospital, my Dad passed away from complications due to Covid-19. My cousin very sweetly told my Mom that they felt like Uncle David was there to help bring their son into the world. Of course, it’s something I’ll never forget. 💙

I am a c-section mom x2 because both my babies were breach. I have been asked so many times if I would change it if I could, and honestly I don't think I would. I didn't think c-section recovery was horrible and it is nice to not be exhausted from labor. You are a rockstar momma!!
