No oil on the bearing . A complete video showing how to remove the bearing and changing the spacer for a larger /smaller one would have been great That video is needed because what if someone install it and the dial indicator shows to tight or to loose ? Maybe you have a video showing it .
Only thing I'd point out is the large retaining ring opening should be clocked at roughly a 90 degree/3 o'clock position rather than the 180 degree/6 o'clock position.
Can you let me know what the benefits are of installing this upgrade? I have a 107 with head work, woods 888 cams, s&s lifter , adjustable pushrods, Bassani road rage 2 exhaust, and a tune but will be replacing the jugs with 10:2 compression pistons with fuel moto 10:8 compression pistons and cylinders because the woods 888 cams work well with a minimum of 10:8 compression and Revperf didnt leg me know that . I will be upgrading my stock compensator and chain adjuster with the baker compensator and automatic chain adjuster when rebuilding the motor. But would like to know the benefits of the upgrade you did?
Hello, This is Jeff from Baker Drivetrain. The stock bearing on the Cruise Drive 6 speed is very weak and is known to fail quite often and repeatedly. The issue is the stock bearing is a plastic caged ball bearing and not strong enough to use with performance upgrades. Our twin tapered design is extremely strong and able to outperform the stock Harley unit by changing the self-aligning bearing to our twin tapered opposing bearing setup. It was originally designed to be in our Grudgebox High-Performance transmission but we received a large number of requests to make it available for the stock 6-speed transmission as well as for our DD7 transmission. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me I would be more than happy to assist.
You guys should do a video of the removal and break down to the open case before assembly as well! Nice to see it done before diving in.
Great video one thing I do is put the race in the freezer.....

What is the procedure for removing, if the end play is too much?
Will it damage the bearing?
