I think because by the time he realized what was happening, Carly was already whacking the guy's hand with the butter sock and Spencer was like "what the f--- why is that hand touch--- okay she's bashing him, she's got this lol" before he could jump up and pull her away (he probably didn't see the hand at all till she started screaming)
In his defense, he doesn’t notice the hand until she starts screaming, and by the time he sees it, the hand is already pulling away. If it lasted longer he probably would have intervened.
@@gregjayonnaise8314 Yeah he butt booted a guy out just for trying to put his lips on HER!!!FAAACE??!?!?!!!, so I don't think he'd give a hobo any leeway if he saw it in time.
That wasn’t scripted. One of the crew members got antsy and the producers just decided to keep it in. The laugh track is the crew laughing on set in real time at Miranda Cosgrove’s genuine sheer terror while Jerry Trainor contemplates why he chose a network like Nickelodeon to jump start his acting career.
I wish we saw the hobo/Hollywood’ reaction to finding out that Spencer and Freddie found the head. I wish we even got to see Sam and Carly’s reaction finding out that they did find it. I would’ve liked to see their faces when they go to see the head.
Dan Schneider really hated the homeless community to the point where he wanted to make fun of them. After all those episodes, all Hobo jokes are toned down following backlash with homeless people who found these jokes offensive and disrespectful.
@@bdjsjshhehehd8989 Yeah, because being homeless is hilarious! On the other hand, I highly doubt there was "backlash" from homeless people considering they don't have access to television.
Pretty sure it was just the Hollywood hobo. If we want to know for sure we can look at his arm and hand and compare it to scenes where he's talking to them
John 3:16 ; For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Who's Dan Schneider? Sounds Jewish...
@@heinoustentacles5719 he’s the creator of the show and he’s also a pedo

Untrue. Dan would never touch one of his actors that way. If it were truly Dan, he would have tried to touch her feet.

Omg that was clever! Lol

if it was just silent tho, it would've had a much more sinister tone.
It was cute when Spencer hugged Carly.

Yet.
Yeah, I laughed at it as kid, but realized how traumatic it would actually be long before the truth about Shneider came out.
My favorite Dan Schneider cameo
The guy who do it literally is called "hollywood" in this episode and this make it even funnier!
“Hey Dan the script said to just wave your hand through the blinds…”
Dan Schnider all them years:
i like how spencer didn't try to break the hobos hand off , instead just sat there until icarly sat down and hugged her
Not sure if that was sarcasm. But I like how he comforted her too.

Dan Schneider- The feet
She didn't know they were rolling. That was her actual reaction when Dan started petting her head.
Since this is Nickelodeon, there’s a good chance that’s true.
Fun fact!
In this episode, Hollywood was portrayed by Biff Wiff.
Biff Wiff later appeared in Everything Everywhere All at Once as Rick!

I love that part at the end where Spencer comfortably holds Carly when she scared.
Ironically this guy is called "hollywood" in this episode! Lmaol!
I'm convinced this wasn't even supposed to be in the scene, and that was a genuine scream from Miranda
Well, that was the friendliest zombie I've ever seen
There’s something rly dystopian about this clip lol
Miranda really doesn’t get enough credit
How coincidental....one of the show's best jokes despite all the hindsight.

strong urge to write a cute fanfic of carly and spencer bonding now LOOK AT THAT SWEET HUG AT THE END :(
The fact that it’s Dan Schneider’s hand says everything, he’s pulling a Sam Raimi
0:11: Sam and Freddie are shocked.
Knowing who that hand belongs to makes it more creepy than funny
And just imagine how many takes they did of this scene
Good grief. If you took the laugh away and focused on Carly's traumatized face its actually messed up.

There are more empty houses than there are homeless.
