And yet ...
In Judges 1:19 And THE LORD WAS WITH JUDAH; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; BUT COULD NOT drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
So ... I guess iron chariots are Gods Kryptonite.
And that's just a few contradictions and problems in the Bible. There are hundreds more rendering it NOT perfect. In fact it reeks of being man-made to divide and control the people.

Meh, what did he ever do besides box and draft dodge a war ? I'm sure he had his family, but the reality is he parlayed that into millions and spun it as altruistically humanitarian at times.

I'm a Christian but I recently have been slowly separating from his path. I've felt hopeless and today I felt the need to click on this video.It might be one of the best decisions I've ever made.God uses little things like this to bring the most joy into your life I'm ready to live my life to the fullest!!!!

Conversations with God is a classic
This is a subtle message which is easily misunderstood. It's all about the intention behind the giving. One person giving to another can maintain the sense of separation and suffering. The giving needs to come from a sense of oneness. Giving to a beggar on the street can be a way of saying "glad it's you out here and not me" but giving from a sense of oneness is to give as thanks to the beggar for the insight that at some level we are both beggars.

This comment right here is everything.I have had to stop and just ponder it for a awhile. Especially the last two lines. I thought about I AM A BEGGAR TOO? Then I saw clearly where I am. I live in a 3 world developing country surrounded by beggars each day...........this has changed how I will view them from now on. Normally I skip comments because they are often so vile.....this time Im glad I scrolled a bit.

This is such a beautiful eye opener. It's not about us. Once we truly understand what this means, it takes such a weight off of our shoulders. It's about God, his son Jesus, and the holy spirit working in and through our lives!
I've spent all my life living for others, fixing relationship, saving my friens from deep depression periods, cheering up those lonely and lost...and I have felt lonely and lost myself and in many situations bad things happened to me as soon as I completed an act of kindness. Now I have become virtually afraid of helping people.😢

This is truly, the story of my life where things happen for short amount of time, i love the part where "Do unto others as you would it done unto you" though You (Neale) said Someone said it best, it isn't someone, it"s Jesus Christ "GOD" who said it Eloquently well. I love that "Your Life is not about just little bitsy me, it's big to touch others and take out someone else misery so that we could get out of it. my heart is warm and cosy when i hear that ... it must be true that looking at what you do to others and switching over to a sense of "we" ...of "our interest" ... of "our best thing to be happy"... of how "we can be happy" , must be a way to connect to a greater self ... to identify more to the "us" ... and to feel expansed and filled by this connection ... I experienced this feeling over a period when i was certainly connected to this heart giving idea and ... it was a very memorable moment that stayed with me until now ... i'm keen on going in this direction again :) So i keep two concrete things to do : telling myself like a mantra : "my life is not about me" .. and asking myself : "what good do i wanna give to someone today ?" (and then give it as much as i can).
Don't let this video take you into the obvious meaning of "give and give so that you may recieve". No. The real meaning, if you're listening, is that though we need to work on ourselves as a separate individual with individual purpose: Our purpose is not purely our own. Like it or not, we are connected to and have effect on every life we touch. This is not about give to get, or give for the glory of it. It's about love and erasing useless things like envy, neglect, cruelty and apathy. Therefore: Heaven is created in our own lives by helping to not make others' lives hell.

I spent most of my life feeling bitter because the kindness I gave others was never returned to me and then I'd feel likewise turned on me when I was in need .. but it took me a long time to see that it was all in the wrong spirit.. I wasn't giving .. I was expecting the favors to be returned ..

While growing in the womb it was not about YOU it was about knowing your MOTHER'S THOUGHTS and about sharing MOTHER'S EMOTIONS and while still growing in the womb it was about going WITHIN when you had questions and we ALL did that for nearly a YEAR >Google the conjoined twins Krista and Tatiana Hogan who have a conjoined thalamus, the part of the brain that sends physical sensations and motor functions to the cerebral cortex Which allows them to hear EACH OTHER'S thoughts > even Doctors are baffled by it.
~ I feel like it's some secret, something everyone needs to know and though I'm finding more and more truth to it since that realization I've been rewriting it in reminders, trying to find new ways to remind myself and others of this so we won't forget.
Now that my mom has passed (very recent and also the only person I'd have talks about topics like this with) I've felt myself pulling away from others kind of in a way of retreat? I'm trying not to but I suppose it's a grieving process for myself, but in this funk I've found that I'm still capable of getting out of it to help family and friends and I am thankful.

THE Balance is found in learning to discern (by applying humility an open heart and the Truth) WHO and WHAT to put first and WHEN, along with maintaining healthy boundaries. I never had a chance to put myself first and always truely believed that sacrificing myself was the only Way.. I remember being given the message "I don't matter " as a child. Now I'm alone burnt out and low as everyone I've impacted either prospered and moved on without a second glance or passed away. I think it's important to recognise that this man is not of today's generation and I've come to believe international generational advice doesn't always apply as times change. I encourage those younger than 50 to consider my first point yourself and see if it fits. I truely do know the meaning of love and Hope my insight touches and helps those who need it.💜

Strange but I'm not a self centered person but the complete opposite. I'm always helping others, donating time, donating money too. As a result, I felt exhausted and burnt out by always giving to others. Giving from my heart. Now I say No to others and place my well being first.

Lottery Winner What people need is the right balance between giving to others and giving to themselves. You need to find the right balance for you. The more you give to yourself (Love and Joy) the more you are able to give to others. When you meditate or pray or whatever spiritual practice works for you - you are giving to yourself and empowering yourself.
You then gain greater wisdom and discernment as to who to help and how to help, and how much to help. It's important for everyone to connect with their soul/higher self/God to receive guidance and grow. So you work on yourself first and increase your wisdom, discernment and capacity to give to others. That's why Jesus took the 40 days and 40 nights of solitude and fasting - he was giving to himself, loving himself, and deeply "connecting" with the presence and essence of God within his being/consciousness.
Then after that period he then taught and healed and served. So that's how I see this whole giving and receiving thing. It is about a person having the right balance for them between how much they are giving and how much they are receiving. And also being in touch with, alignment with, the presence of God so one is hearing and/or feeling the inner guidance coming from God as to when to give, what to give, how much to give, or even whether to give at all in that particular circumstance.
That's why spiritual practices like meditation or anything that helps one to make conscious contact with God's power, love, joy and perfection are so important and for many people. For many people it's best to start the day and end the day with some sort of spiritual practice/tool/exercise - like expressing gratitude aloud or written down, or a loving kindness meditation, or prayer or whatever practices resonate best with you.
Mass production I believe has spoilt this world. We all have far too much time on our hands. We are spoilt Thankyou for this video. I am 70.Its taken me a lifetime to understand,but perhaps it's supposed to .

I actually (naturally) do that. I'm a pessimist that fears everything but I put on a smile to my family and friends that are having a bad time or worrying too much about something and I try to make them feel better whilst I'm also worried about them, but it always makes me feel better knowing that I have cheered them up and got them out of a dark hole

I think I've always been a happy person because there's always something to appreciate every where I look and when we appreciate we align with the universe. I was that way long before I invited contrast that led to my awakening. (I'm so happy I've out-grown that contrast and can even appreciate it because of everything its brought me.) I'm enjoying the fourth Conversation book and and trying to reconcile it with the things I've learned from Abraham Hicks. On my first hearing, they seemed to conflict a little - but now, I don't think so. I think it all works together beautifully. I have not a doubt in the world that both are genuine. I was blessed with wonderful signs that convinced me that both are from God. 💖

Life is all about giving to others to gain self uplifting. We all need to touch the hearts of others. We need to have a purpose in life to fulfill and to experience that satisfaction. Unfortunately, our lives are shattered and we need to change the situation the way we live. To define our purpose help others no matter what.
❤ Yeah, you put it into words. Life is so incredible. I don't even think aboutit in these terms. People are a story book, each fascinating in their own way, having a need for something greater beyond self. And we are social beings for certain!
My life is about me. If I take care of myself first, then I can take care of others if I want. Not to be greedy or get ahead or whatever. I used to put others first always. Always did what they wanted, listened to them, but they didn't listen to me, put their needs before my own. And I got destroyed. For what? I regret it deeply. No more.

Religion doesn't have to be a factor but what was mentioned of helping others or bringing abundance into your life by first bringing it into others, or kicking the funk your in by helping others ("washing another's feet"). That's been a somewhat recent realization for me within the year.
Listening to a sermon one day in the car contemplating why things have been (not in a whoa is me why me way) just thinking, becoming more aware of this cycle of how life for me has seem to gone. The pastor on the radio talks of washing the feet of others and I suppose that there was my "aha moment"! I've always felt it in my heart since I was a child, to be of service to others in one way or another, I feel I'm my happiest when I am. Then to hear it out loud, what I knew was in my heart (in all of our hearts) as truth resonated deep with in.
