+Theme Park Review Can you include facts in more of your videos because its nice knowing little timbits of rides that I may never get a chance to go on or might go on in the future.
I rode this coaster when I was there on Saturday. Despite it's age and the many other record breaking coasters at the park, this coaster is still impressive. Even nowadays, it's still pretty popular.
I love this coaster, I hope they don't tear it down... If I remember correctly this was the second looping coaster I ever rode, my first being Anaconda (I think that's the name) in Kings Dominion.
I still can’t believe this was the tallest rollercoaster of its time. You can barely see Loch Ness. Griffon and Mach Tower are dominating the Busch Garden Williamsburg’s skyline
I had a dream my sister made me ride this and I was screaming the entire time. I have a horrendous fear of roller coasters and all I do is watch your channel, I don't know why. That sound of the cart going up still haunts my dreams.
I don't know how you've done it, but you have officially outdone yourselves with both the quality and smoothness of this video. Can't wait to see what's next!
actually when I went to the park on June 6th, 2015. They did not interlock exactly, but one train would exit as the other entered a loop. The operations that day were outstanding. So they can almost interlock on a random occasion
It's probably because the main lift's speed was slowed to about half of what it was maybe fifteen years ago. It gives it that old rickety feel, but it's actually a very well designed and constructed ride for its age.
This is a great video that captures the ride experience. The ride has gotten shakier and they are supposed to retrack it add back some of the cave theming this off season. The strobe lights; monster mural and mist of water as you exited the cave all improved this ride
This coaster came out when I was 5 years old and I did not get up nerve to ride it until I was 15 lol it was so fun have not been in years will try to make it this summer hopefully
God I love that Arrow chain lift sound, it’s so recognizable and old school. Does anyone know why they took the strobe lights and monster out of the tunnel? I’m guessing the reason they don’t let the trains interlock the loops together is some stupid safety regulation that was put into place. But having all of that back would make this ride so much better. I haven’t ridden it in about 12 years, but it was a fun ride even without the effects and surprisingly smooth for an Arrow. I’m betting the lack of corkscrews has something to do with that.
The tunnel you go through used to be lit up on the inside. There was a long trail of red and green lights on the right side in the shape of the loch ness monster.
It does look and seem a lot larger and faster in person. That's normal with roller coasters on video. A person's idea of speed and size of a particular coaster are often inaccurate when looking at just a video.
This one was fun when they still ran it with the two trains. I remover when I rode it the first time years ago as a kid when the two trains was still running
i need to get the new roller coaster tycoon and recreate this beast, with a few changes here and there so you can have at least 2 trains running through the interlocking loops at the same time.
Ok guys, help me out here. I was reading the introduction writing and it says that two trains can not interlock at the same time, due to upgrading over the years? What the heck and when did that happen? I was 21 ( now 47,so please someone do the math, lol ) and I was in the Navy at little creek. When we got back from desert storm, welfare and wreck from the ship, gave us free tickets to go to Busch Gardens ! A best friend and I grabbed them and I drove us there one over cast Saturday morning and when we showed them the tickets and they treated us with so much support that Mike and I were asked questions about Iraq and what choice of ride we would like, and of course you all know what we said ! Well Mike and I sat in the back and got to ride it non-stop ! Man we were 21 and we rode that thing like 20 times non-stop,got off and grabbed some grub, came back and when the operator saw us again,he said what and who we were over the intercom and everyone in line cheered and Thank us for serving the USA ! We musta rode it another 20 times ! Now that was 1991 around April and we counted ( forgot how many ) times we interlocked with another train in the loops,so what happen to this day? The trains don't interlock anymore ! Also I didn't see in this video when it went ino the 2 turns,it was all dark ? When we went thru, there was the loch Ness Monster breathing fire all over you ! Also on our last run,we were greeted by the general manager and he gave us both a free white tee shirt with the Loch Ness Monster on the left breast and on the back was the coaster with the Loch Ness Monster wrapped all in it ! We're both from CA. And I have ridden a lot of coasters, but this one has left a mark and will always be my favorite ! U people of Williamsburg VA. Rock Mike and I that day ! You all made us feel the big movie stars, for serving our country, and to this day,I Thank You ! Mike if you find and read this, remember this ? Ken !
+Jodie “justjodie” Banner the drop is 205ft and the highest point is 213ft. It's the big one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We went for my cousins birthday and it was my first time riding it. I shit myself going up the hill thingy that I forgot the name of. xD
That was Loch Ness Monster. It was designed to do that, but the speed of the main lift was cut in half maybe fifteen or twenty years ago. Because of that, it no longer operates like that.
It sure did back in the day. I have a video showing the trains going through the loops at the same time on my channel. Absolutely awesome to experience as well and I will never forget it.
Yep! The one is Williamsburg is called The Griffon and the one in Tampa is called Sheikra. Same roller coaster layout just different colors. I also believe Sheikra may be just a little bit taller.
Way back when the ride first opened, my uncle rode it and the train got stuck in one of the loops. he was stuck upside down for about 30 minutes before they got him down.
It still has the ability to duel in the loops but the second train would have to be dispatched immediately after the first train cleared the first lift hill.
I really liked the coaster facts at the beginning.
I love the sounds of Arrow lift hills 😍😍
Don’t we all
Yes
let me try to mock it

One of the best looking roller coasters in the world. The colours are great, the interlocking loops looks great.....
+Tommy Carr Blackpool Pleasure Beach Is The Best Park Ever! :P
Yes, I do enjoy PB, great mix of classic/thrill/modern/family rides.
Oh Yes!!!! :D
That sky on the lift chain is gorgeous!
Sure the only thing I don’t like about it it’s so goddamn slow.
The way the coaster is laid out seems like a creation in RCT3 especially with the interlocking loops.
It's cool seeing coasters on here from my hometown park that I grew up at.
I was at Busch Gardens once almost three years ago now, and I absolutely loved this coaster!
Fun facts and lift-hill footage intact--nice!
+V. Anton Spraul We made this one more for the nerdy coaster geek! =) You're welcome!
+Theme Park Review Can you include facts in more of your videos because its nice knowing little timbits of rides that I may never get a chance to go on or might go on in the future.
This is a great Arrow ride. My first coaster was the Big Bad Wolf, RIP. Drakenfire OTOH was brutal.
I rode this coaster when I was there on Saturday. Despite it's age and the many other record breaking coasters at the park, this coaster is still impressive. Even nowadays, it's still pretty popular.
this got to be the most beautifull roller coaster that i've seen in youtube, congrats to the park and thanks to you, TPR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! added 2 favs
This is easily the best Arrow I've ridden to date. That park does not have a bad coaster.
Either this is Arrow's best coaster or Tennessee Tornado at Dollywood. Both are really smooth for Arrow models and both are beautiful parks.
I rode this Right after the Gryffon and it was pretty much night time when i rode it and it just made the ride more exciting, loved it!
i rode this ride so many times for about 30 years
If u ride in front does it drop your stomach?
@@cloudedxmia good for you maybe you should get a medal for it
Well done guys 600k
+ItzZinkyy Thanks!
I love this coaster, I hope they don't tear it down... If I remember correctly this was the second looping coaster I ever rode, my first being Anaconda (I think that's the name) in Kings Dominion.
Yes andaconda and I know I love this coaster, and you should try the intimidator 305 at kings dominion
And tempesto at bush gardens
+crazygamerr20 it's Busch Gardens not bush
Im no coaster buff and usually a big baby but in 92 i went on it and i got rigbt back in line to ride again. Smoothe, and not scary. Its,a great ride!
That sound of the cart going up still haunts my dreams.
mgs Fun fact: it's safer to go on a roller coaster than stay in your house!
xxnicelucyxx MSP You're infinitely more likely to die during the car ride to the amusement park~😂
That's the first roller coaster that I've ever ridden on, back then I was scared but now I love it
This was my first ever looping coaster, back when I was 5 :)
I don't know how you've done it, but you have officially outdone yourselves with both the quality and smoothness of this video. Can't wait to see what's next!
2:37 that part of the video is so good
Lot of respect for this ride, but man that is one dank sounding chain lift lol.
All of arrows chain lifts sound like that
The sky looks so pretty in the beginning😍
It looks like a really nice view above the trees and water. Also the color scheme is really nice
actually when I went to the park on June 6th, 2015. They did not interlock exactly, but one train would exit as the other entered a loop. The operations that day were outstanding. So they can almost interlock on a random occasion
This is a bucket list ride for me

This one is an absolute classic
I can't believe this ride is going to be 40 years old next year!
This pov is amazing
This ride is actually really fun
This chain lift feels so broken when you ride it.
+legocraftmation Yeah it's like it can barely hold the weight.
that's so true this was the first rollercoaster I ever rode
+Ivy Dowler mine too. It's like tiny jolts all the way up.
The second lift is perfect
***** yes! I agree it's a fun ride
It's probably because the main lift's speed was slowed to about half of what it was maybe fifteen years ago. It gives it that old rickety feel, but it's actually a very well designed and constructed ride for its age.
This was the first roller coaster I rode back when I was 6.

Incredible coaster. Hard to beat it just ride it!!!
My first roller coaster. Nostalgia :)

In my art class, this coaster has become a meme.
I live not too far from Busch Gardens. And This was my first roller coaster actually, lol.

This coaster came out when I was 5 years old and I did not get up nerve to ride it until I was 15 lol it was so fun have not been in years will try to make it this summer hopefully

Looks terrifying. I'd love to ride it!
Looks fun to ride!
this ride is awesome

What a classic.
Im going on vacation soon to williamsburg so i might go to busch gardens yayyy.
Went there Wednesday! Park was dead because of "incoming storm" my dad and I rode everything!
I went on that ride I love it best Rite ever
i was just thinking "it would be so cool if they ran two trains that did the loops at the same timel
The tunnel you go through used to be lit up on the inside. There was a long trail of red and green lights on the right side in the shape of the loch ness monster.
You guys have a really nice camera, great video!
I remember seeing footage of this in a Cinema 180 film at Rainbows End in New Zealand before the cinema closed earlier this year
Went on this earlier today haha
Can't believe how fast it went
Omg! You Got 600k Congrats!!!! :)
this coaster looks loke fun :)
this video is awesome
ok this really sounds like a farewell video
Um...I was JUST on this ride, and I remember it went a lot faster than what's shown here. Is it something to do with the camera setting?
It does look and seem a lot larger and faster in person. That's normal with roller coasters on video. A person's idea of speed and size of a particular coaster are often inaccurate when looking at just a video.
FanOfVacuums2
Thanks!
FanOfVacuums2 same with planes right?
600k, impressive. gratz!
it sure is a unique Arrow Coaster
This one was fun when they still ran it with the two trains. I remover when I rode it the first time years ago as a kid when the two trains was still running
This is the first ride I rode
I'm going there in 2016 summer and it's going to be fun
Repping for the burg thanks bro
looks fun!
i need to get the new roller coaster tycoon and recreate this beast, with a few changes here and there so you can have at least 2 trains running through the interlocking loops at the same time.
You guys are so close to 1,000,000 subs
Good job

Thank you for your service.
What did you use when filming this. What Camera? also what equipment to keep the camera steady?
Is there a link to where they had both trains go through the loops?
I went on a rollercoaster a few days ago which has a 205 (i think) drop. IT WAS REALLY FUN!
Was that stealth at Thorpe park x
+Agtubelauren steel force?
+Jodie “justjodie” Banner the drop is 205ft and the highest point is 213ft. It's the big one at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We went for my cousins birthday and it was my first time riding it. I shit myself going up the hill thingy that I forgot the name of. xD
+Simon Brugel what I just said in the comment above
Could you explain why the 2 trains cant make the loop at the same time anymore?
When were you there I was there yesterday
When you set the chain lift speed to 1mph in RCT 😂
Not sure if it was a thing but in the 90s remember a ride with both trains in the loops.
That was Loch Ness Monster. It was designed to do that, but the speed of the main lift was cut in half maybe fifteen or twenty years ago. Because of that, it no longer operates like that.
It sure did back in the day. I have a video showing the trains going through the loops at the same time on my channel. Absolutely awesome to experience as well and I will never forget it.
um TPR did you already rode this before becuz I did remember you going on it before
Is that blue ride next to it meant to be like that one with the drop at Busch gardens in Florida?
Yep! The one is Williamsburg is called The Griffon and the one in Tampa is called Sheikra. Same roller coaster layout just different colors. I also believe Sheikra may be just a little bit taller.
Matthew Kohut well, Sheikra and Griffon have two totally different layouts, and Griffon was the tallest dive coaster, until Valravn opened.....
What camera are you using?
Way back when the ride first opened, my uncle rode it and the train got stuck in one of the loops. he was stuck upside down for about 30 minutes before they got him down.
You guys should ride tempesto at bush gardens it's so fun
That Chain lift tho :P
It still has the ability to duel in the loops but the second train would have to be dispatched immediately after the first train cleared the first lift hill.
Nice!
Hey guys nice video :P
That tunnel looked like a tight fit
It's just the camera
I miss the strobe lights that used to go off in the tunnel.
Matt McIrvin there is still lights on ground it’s blue it’s just weak now
Your vids are awesome. I would love to ride the coasters you ride. How was this one? Smooth?
it's actually a rough ride, the loops are brutal, I came off with a head ache from bumping against the seats, but it's a very fun ride
