The priest was at our house today giving my wife the sacrament Anointing of the Sick, I am a firm believer in the sacraments and know whatever is in God’s plans it will be for the best.
I am grateful to God for giving my mom the grace to receive hers (anointing of the sick/last rites) when she was in her last moments, suffering from brain cancer. She was a righteous woman and prayed the rosary daily BUT have not gone to mass/confession due to her work. I truly feel the rosary was the reason for everything. Thank you, God and the Blessed Virgin Mother.

@UCp9C-6gAtaGEH4D-EcqDu4Q you stfu you literally liked your own comment
I was anointed 2 years ago when in hospital for a serious infection; and I was anointed in 5 places (the forehead, hands and feet) in imitation of the 5 wounds of Christ, and the priest said that I was anointed so that I could unite my pain with that of Christ, and so that I would have no fear. It was so beautiful. Nothing in this world is as precious as the Sacraments. Someone could give me a million-dollar car or jewellery that could be lost, stolen, depreciate etc. and can never convey grace. Sacraments strengthen the faithful, they are a divine gift from Heaven, imprinting us with grace, joy, peace, and reminding us of our real identity--children of God who are called to partake in His eternal Love. May the Lord always bless, comfort and strengthen our priests in their divine ministry.

Thank you very much for these videos on the sacraments, they very informative for coming to an understanding of the practices of the Catholic Church. I come from a non-denominational back ground and there is a lot of misinformation regard the Catholic Church.
Major surgery and have cancer. Asked our priest for anointing of the sick and he said it’s only for those facing death. My friend also asked. She had surgery and nearly died. At the time of asking she was sick. He did give a blessing but said anointing of the sick was reserved for the dying.
I've heard of a diabetic getting it done so I'm not sure if he's right or not.
Please eat plant based it will help.
Such a beautiful sacraments. When witnessing or you receive it you truly experience Gods love and mercy.

Is it my imagination, or do you have images of ex cardinal & priest, Theodore McCarrick in this video? If so, you should redo this, it was painful & shocking to think I saw him.

Yes, I like this
i need some help, what writings in the new testament are based on the two sacraments of healing,
help would be much appreciated.
Last Rites are given to people who are apparently dead within a short period of time. Medical science has indicated that apparent death precedes actual death. Further, St. Thomas Aquinas said that death is the separation of the soul from the body, and we do not know the exact moment the soul leaves the body, therefore Extreme Unction can be given within a short period of time after death. This is stated in the moral theology textbook I have.
so when i asked for it at my local parish when i was expecting to have a major surgery was not wrong
No, not at all.
2:00 why was his face blurred?
tnx thisbis our exam tomorrow
How did you do on the exam?
Can alcoholics receive this anointing?
By the way, I don't think "Last Rites" are gone. We still have them, and anointing is only one part of them. There is also viaticum (food for the journey) and Confession. If the person is unable to confess, anointing will also absolve sins. I don't know how any well-formed dying Catholic would become fearful over Last Rites. I've heard that Catholicism is the hardest religion to live, but the easiest to die.
thank you this a very good video

ASK:
Does Fr mean 'for real" like FrFr my G
The blurring of faces is unnecessary and distracting. Every time I show the video, I get unwanted questions. It really detracts from the beautiful message. 99.9% of people will have no idea.

Ok than
Dang that pastor is one radical looking dude. I wish he was my dad
But then you’d probably leave me too
Father, please do not confuse the term "Last Rites" with the single sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, which you indeed present correctly. But your mentality concerning "the Last Rites" has deprived souls who are dying of the three sacraments most desired and needed when those dying are in most need of the comfort of Christ's Divine Mercy, and it is a catechetical error (cf. CCC nos. 1517, and 1523-1525). The Last Rites do not (and never have) referred ONLY to the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick (formerly called, Extreme Unction--which is the word you seem to be confusing for the colloquial expression, "the Last Rites"). The Last Rites, rather, refer to the grouping of three sacraments that may (and ought to) be given to those who request it. The Last Rites include Reconciliation (i.e. Confession), Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Communion (technically called, "Viaticum" when given to a dying soul, as their final Communion). This is the order in which they are to be given according to the Catechism no.1517. These "Last Rites" are immensely important to the dying and can mean the difference between salvation and eternal loss. So, please do not minimize the importance of the Last Rites (yes, the term is not an official term---neither is "confession"), but rather than discard it, it is better to explain it---correctly.
Thumbs up !

Homework done
I was drafted into the pink sisterhood 3years ago. I ended up w/a bilateral mastectomy. On the way home from work ther day b/4 surgery, i ran into Cardinal Cupich. I told him I was going to have surgery in the morning and asked him to remember me when he said Mass the morning of my surgery. He asked me if I would like for him to anoint me--right there on Pearson St. I told him that Father Terry took care of that @ Mass the Subday B/4. He said that he would pray 4 me @ Mass the morning of my surgery.
