  • Lessons from the Martial Law Period.
This is one of my first few videos I recorded thru a webcam (thus the poor quality) that was taken around May 2020. In the midst of the Pandemic lockdown with no clear direction of how classes can be conducted. Nevertheless, that brought the alter ego Prof Next Door into life. #martiallaw #philippinehistory #history

Martial law is NEVER A DARK spot in the history of the Phil. Dark spot for those who are criminals, profiteers, because they could no longer do the usual evil things that they do...I am now 67, years old and I experienced how peaceful our country was during martial law years.

I'm leaving these numbers and its up to you if these will change your mind.
70,000 people arrested, mostly without warrants of arrests
      34,000 people tortured
3,240 killed by the military and the police
11,103: Victims of rights violations with approved claims for compensation
The whole point is that while its good for you that you lived a quiet, peaceful and privileged life during those times, the numbers aforementioned would tell you that not everyone have lived the same way as you did.

@@voltaire7508 I myself do not approve sa ginagawa ng NPA pero there were people that were arrested without probable cause and because of mere suspicion just because they are redressing their grievances to the government na parte naman po ng karapatan natin ayon sa konstitusyon. Even if NPA talaga sila, hindi rin dapat na sila ay ikulong, itorture at patayin without due process dahil labag ito sa Section 1 ng Bill of Rights.
