- In this video we react to the Smooth Criminal performance we never got to see, featuring
Mjfangirl and Randall from Lego Masters Season 2.
Michael Jackson was going to perform Smooth Criminal on the This Is It Tour and this clip shows the green screen footage, blocking, choreography and the combining footage of Michael Jackson and superimposing that into Gilda. The Smooth Criminal scene featurings Michael, Rita Hayworth, and Humphrey Bogart and the song "Put The Blame On Mame". If you were wondering if the This Is It performance of Smooth Criminal included old footage or not, and guessed YES- you would be right. There are some clips of Moonwalker movie footage and the original Smooth Criminal movie used to create this really fun old-school promo clip. This video features Travis Payne, Kenny Ortega and more.

As a kid of the late 80's and 90's, when Michael reverted back to his Dangerous era curls during This Is It, it took me back to such a special moment in time. It even took Mike back in time when he donned the smooth criminal outfit again, it almost made me cry how nostalgic and iconic that was. Its like, for the last time in 2009, we got to experience that nostalgia of our youth, the 'Michael mania' era of Thriller was once again lived for a brief moment, and I'll hold on to that feeling and cherish it always ❤️
This! I remember the first time seeing him with the curl again in 09 and it got me soooo hyped. "MJ IS BACK!"
Yes I agree, loved MJ with curls so much, it's like he knew us fans loved his curly hair look. (For This Is It)
Have he not pass away and do this tour THIS IS IT this would've been his biggest come back. But that 50 dates back to back kind of worry me when I heard the schedule of it.

I was on holiday at the time, and when we drove in the morning to get there, i heard the news on the radio about MJ being weeks away from his sold out shows. I remember feeling so happy for him. We drove back home about 4 or 5 days later, and every radio station was playing his music.... He passed the day before. 😭

I had no idea that Randell had “This Is It Tickets.” I remember I was willing to spend all the money I had to attend that concert and the tickets sold out soooooo fast. If I could have seen this show live, I think “Earth Song” would be amazing to see from this concert.
Michael was a genius. This was awesome to watch. It’s hard sometimes for me to watch and listen to MJ, it makes me so sad and I miss him so much. It’s hard to forgive the world for have treated him so bad. He never deserve all the pain he went through and it kills me still that people still believe all the lies.
Randall, we need a lego MJ lets do it!!!! I would've loved to have seen Earth Song performed live in this show, the stage for all of his songs looks so amazing.

I have been saying it for years. Imagine if someone took the movement capture animation files from when he danced for the skeleton in Ghosts, but made it viewable in VR. It would be the first time I could see MJ moonwalk in 4D.
This is in the This is It dvd. I haven't watched the DVD in a while because I always cry at the end of it, but it's nice to see the behind the scenes. It always has me wanting to see more.

In 2009 when Michael was going to come back out. I was hopping that he would do a tour here in America because I never was able to go see him ever and thought I would have a chance to see him live.

I watched 'this is it' in the movie theater when it came out, it was great but I was sad bc it reminded me that Michael is not here anymore, after that I never watched it or anything related to his death bc it makes me sad and relive it all over again, thats just me, I listen to his music all the time ,watch his all the other videos, the movie this is it is so remarkable and beautiful! couldn't stop imagining what could it have been if we were fortunate enough to watch it, like his all previous shows it would be the greatest show on earth 🌎 ❤🙏✌👍🦋🌻

I haven't seen This Is It in a while now because it's still a bit too heartbreaking for me but I have to say I really enjoyed this! Seeing Michael behind the scenes is always so interesting to watch because it gives you a glimpse of how it was to work with him and you can so totally tell here after being out of the spotlight for a few years, he never stopped creating. Such a genius that man is!!!

You know those human chandeliers that were shown in This Is It during the Who Is It instrumental bit? Those were supposed to be featured during the live Smooth Criminal performances (not in the Dome Project videos). They were supposed to start rehearsing the song with those contortionists/chandeliers ready around the time MJ passed away.

And I have suggested, I saw this anime show called demon Slayer and one of the characters named muzan look similar to mj. I want to ask if you compare the smooth criminal and this character because they look the same and see for your self. But yea that's it :)
