Expert art historian Anthony Blunt was a knight, a royal courtier, and a Soviet spy. Did Blunt blackmail the royal family for the KGB? And did he loot art treasures for King George VI?

Odd that he'd point to the USSR as a "Bulwark against fascism in the 1930s" given the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact of August 1939, which allowed the Soviets and the Nazis to carve out Poland.

I think Prince Philip should have taken him out hunting, accidents happen all the time when shooting.

Or maybe a driving accident in a tunnel somewhere.

Or former US vice president Cheney. He liked shooting his friends in the face.

All of the Cambridge Five were British Upper Class and thus were protected by that disgusting class system. It unfortunately still survives but hopefully will die as we become more enlightened.

Fortunately, no. The class system works. Even if it is absolutely unfair. And it shouldn't be, to be honest.

Why did the clever clogs at MI5 and 6 recruit so many soviet sympathisers?

46:23 "How loyal am I to a country that could potentially do this to me?". Not to be that person, but he wasn't wrong. Alan Turing was part of the reason the Allies won the War and yet we saw how the very same law that was (potentially; partially) why Blunt betrayed his country, killed him, in the end.

I think the British "higher classes" do believe they are above the rules that apply to those that are not them. This kind of contempt for the masses has been at the forefront of human suffering. The masses have always been the ones put in front and behind the gun. The ones that put them their are never involved. Everyone is expendable. I wonder if the Royal Family can continue after Charles takes the thrown. He isn't likeable and shows non of the traits that have been the hallmark of his mother success. Both Charles and his wife are both debased because of their infidelities'. Because of that fact alone their reign of the English throne will not be successful. If you can not keep faith with your wife or husband you can not be truest to keep faith with anything. In the end non of them are any better than a petty criminals.

Stalin didn't know about D-Day. That cant be right, I though the big three planed it. The narration is a bit confusing maybe I'm just taking it in wrong, can't think straight with the heat here the last few days.

The question is, what happened to the copies of the letters which Blount himself kept?
