Still the community still pour alot of hate towards the German tech tree. VK 100 01 has strong coupola and the community still bitches about it but they never ever thought about the player driving the vehicle, the receiving end, if a coupola that gargantuan that a kv2 can hit from half across the universe is made out of wet toilet paper, how is he gonna side scrape/hull down without getting getting killed?

@@bradrolim3731 yes, I realized that eventually, I'm a German fanboy too, I have all German heavy tank unlocked. I can actually tell you all the nerfs/buff they did to competitive vehicles let's start with maus, was shit before buffs so they made it very competitive, 3200hp and it had very good dpm, but after 1 patch haha Germans cannot with ruski tanks blyat, so nerf hammer u get, same shit with VK 45 02 b, lower plate has 200mm when angled it crossed over 340mm meaning gold rounds also struggle to pen but it had to be nerf, not saying they are bad but they just can't be competitive. Then you have e100, power creeped to death, even tier 8 can pen that giant turret. Jagpze100 has weak shoulders and giant weak lower plate, they said e50m has very though armour for medium tank they said, wait what? Turret only 185mm flat which all tank can pen, compare to 430U, 430u have strong turret, no turret weakspots and big punchy gun and blackhole side armour. Rhm pzw, was king of trash now become manticore but still trash, panzer 7 and obj705a, panzer 7 need weak turret ring, 705a no weakspots da? Both tank very similar gameplay but yet different from each other. Leopard was bad also, but recently wg buffed. Tier 6 Lt before the Lt update, has derp gun but removed because too good for light tank. How bout Soviet lt? Haha, Soviet lt432, t54ltwt t100, all have good armour for light tank, can bounce shots and can side scrape as light tank. haha tiger 2? only the gun is good, weak turret armour, weak turret roof, 122mm gun overmatch, weak coupola, weak turret sides, weak turret cheeks, weak lower plate, weak upper hull, whole tank is big pile of garbage, VK 168 and vk 7501, has big coupola, has turret cheek weakness, has weak lower plate, compare to defender and you can cry. I could list the Russian buffs they make for russian tanks but it would go on forever
TL:DR like this post, German tanks must have many awful weaknesses, russian tank have small or tiny weakspots.

Except the Mauer can do everything that the VK does better aside from high alpha. That doesn't matter much though when the Mauer makes up for that 50 less alpha damage by being able to fire 2 seconds faster every time. Mauer actually has reliable armor and can sidescrape consistently whereas the VK can't. I have both tanks, and I love them both, but as bad as the Mauer is, it performs in it's role better than the VK. The cupola is easily penned on both so thats moot.

That fact, when they don't angle in like few minutes in gameplay accually break my heart,this Tank is good ,armor work's,but you must always angle, and copula is not that big and with luck,you will bounce few shot

We have had that discussion with WG, but the problem is that that tank has more of a rocket launcher than a tank gun, so it doesn't really fit in the game atm. They have tried to put it in the game, but failed.

Basically, what happened here is WG nerfed the lower plate from 210 mm of armor to 160. That was a HUGE nerf to this tank and effectively they reduced the low chance of ricochet in the lower plate to none at all. The turret is weak and 230+ mm of pen is more tan enough to go through, which is sad. I had great hopes for this tank but it's easily smashed after this gameplay and many others like from skill4tu which basically confirmed how bad the tank is. I guess the E75S is the best German premium tank because at least that tank has good armor and the 360 Alpha is rather nice.

If you angle the VK in the correct angle, the WeAkSpOt has 270mm... nothing at tier 8 can pen that, exept maybe some TDs whith premium ammo... seems balanced...

Edvin and Zwatsh. Allmost every, if not every german tank, has a frontal transmission. in WoT Transmission = Engine, therefor lower plate pens = damaged engine, most of the time
They should swap the front and back plate mm and buff the back to 200mm. Also buff forward speed to 35km/h.
Oh we got this on console as a tier 10 premium with a 15cm gun
This is why I have 5500 battles in game from 2012. This type of battles just take my sanity so fast so I have to leave after 5 battles and play it after 3 weeks try it again and leave thats how gave works for me...

Turrent is Definitely slightly bigger tiger 2 turrent and Maus 128 cannon.
Problem with pen I believe is it's round penetration to angled armor ratio
Basically king tiger c but turret is more at back and better
