He knows that C trumpet very well. Not everyone would play the high G with valves 1-2. But he chose to do so, and it was pitch perfect without kicking out the 1st slide. He was able to reduce the octave by aiming at the low side of G with 1-2, instead of having to hit the high side of it open.
Great phrasing, perfect articulation. Darth Vader and I are well pleased with this performance, bruh!

I use this fingering too; it helps play that G in tune. It's not usually listed on alternate fingering charts so I'm glad to see a pro using it.

E... that high note is A and it's usually played with first and second valve pressed. And that trumpet looks like normal b trumpet to me
