Hi Richards, I've always been curious about Allan Houldsworth. I have very little of his music in my collection. I have the first album by UK, and then a few tracks on records that he has been a guest musician on. From what I have heard, he was a huge influence on Frank Dunnery from It Bites. Have a listen to the guitar arrangements on 'The Old Man And The Angel' to hear for yourself. Would you say Road Games is a good place to start with Allan? I've had my eye out for a copy of Gazeuse! by Gong because I like the look of the cover. I have nothing with Steve Morse. I seem to have missed him at evert turn. You've got me thinking of other great guitarists though. I'll have a flip through my records tonight and see who I can pull out. Cheers
Hi there John.Road Games is as good a starting point as any i guess. That first U.K. album is a prog masterpiece. Loads of Steve Morse material out there, including of course the 20 plus years with Purple. Will check out the It Bites. Have a great weekend, cheers !
