WHAT. You can SELL units with the right analog stick? Why did NO ONE tell me this! I have come so close to economic victory so many times on deity, only being short just a bit. I always wondered why the hell you would need a pikmen still defending a city in the modern era.
Before watching this video, Deity seems literally impossible. The AI seems to be able to research any tech in one turn, build anything in 1 turn and grow new pops very early in a very short amount of turns, while you have to you know, grow your city the normal way
To me it seemed I couldn’t get anything done because every Civ was at a constant state of declaring war on me and having 15 millions armies of legions in the ancient era
Thank you soo much for this. I managed to snag about 7 achievements using this so far. I created a game with the Zulu and once I had defeated all opponents except one, I blocked off his borders and made a save. Then I won domination, reloaded won with economic etc. Again, thanks so much!
Finally decided to look up a guide for the deity achievements, it just feels so impossible and I would take a chance every once in a while to get those final achievements to finally be able to leave one of my favorite childhood games behind me with a 100 % complete, but the Ai on deity would just wreck every strat I would try with different civillizations just when I thought I was doing well, now I have had enough and it is time for the Zulu rush Nation to attack! Wish my RNG and me the best of luck!!
(Edit; It finally worked, thanks a lot for this video ima follow) I know this is years later but this game makes me so frustrated. I’m literally saving before every attack on the cities as I have 3 besieged (an army each) and they are just pumping defenses constantly. Then randomly the loaded game will have some bad result that ruins it all. Certainly difficult lol and requires luck only.
I'm happy to hear this method helped! :) this basically knocks out ALL of the deity achievements if you save towards the end and go for the alternate victories while the last enemy stays trapped.
This strategy works very well I had to do several restarts before I got it to click but it did so thank you very much there are certain nations if you fight against you won’t be able to win if you don’t hit them early so it’s just worth a restart at that point but thank you very much!
This is exactly the same strategy I used to get the ever-elusive deity domination victory about a year ago, unlocking the final achievement for this game… then, after over a decade of ownership, my Xbox 360 finally got the red ring of ☠️ The warranty was long expired. I must’ve been abusing it during the 2020 lockdowns because I was paid to stay home from work 😂 It forced me to finally upgrade to an Xbox One, at least, I guess. I don’t feel like unlocking everything all over again, though. Damn you and your old lady sweaters, Bill Gates.
hey yo I just wanted to pop in and say thanks. I've watched many different videos on strats to try and win on deity level. This is the only one that worked. the RNG is crazy and it is not an even playing field. You seriously just need to get in there and take their shit before they start causing you problems.
I managed to take over all the capitols on my continent but the british have 3 cities on their island. They are all surrounded by mountains, and by the time i built a boat, and moved all my troops to the island they had archer armies. :(
Only solution is start from the beginning if you saved after starting the match, and make them the primary target BEFORE they dig in. Or cap the other capitals, and build Knight army units to bring over via by boat to attack the British capital. Any time one of the enemies are separated from the main land, it makes the run that much more technical depending on WHICH one decided to be annoying lol...
Did this on King and won so easily. Though I used a DLC that made the mape shaped into two lobes connected by a small bit of land. I started on the small connecting land and quickly found the enemies. Won by 400 BC.
Using the Chinese to steal money, I got a Domination win by 1200 BC using Tanks and BBs on Diety level on the Money Matters scenario. I would buy tech from someone, like navigation and monarchy, then send in a spy to steal 1,100 gold.
I'm aware that I am very, very late to the party... But this is not working for me so far. Idk if I'm doing something wrong, but every time I get to a city they have archers that have much better defense than I have attack.
There’s quite a bit of RNG involved with this strat but is still overall very favorable. Considering the English longbow buffed archers are the ones annoying AF
This is good and all but I have lost like 5 maps in a row now because my superior units have lost battles to much weaker units when trying to fight battles. Even though the stats are on my side I always seem to lose no matter what and its very infuriating (its almost like the deity AI is cheating).
I need to know, is this done on a certain map pack? Or how many times did you reload the start to make sure your enemy civs were close by? Not complaining at the method, it's a standard. But just the ease.
He said at some point in the video that this was just a random playthrough and he didn't know that it would work (based on civ placement) ... impressive if true
I'm stuck. i was following your guide and it is very helpful, but then when I started attacking the French, they had archers, which are imposible to defeat. Should I restart again?
If their archer defense is too much, you may need to restart. When you first start the match, you can save and then scout around to find out where exactly the enemy capitals are and then reload your save to begin your offense to potentially save some time and frustration. Another option is if they're the LAST enemy you need to take out, and already have the "That we may live in peace" achievement, you can go for a late game victory via researching more advance units, while keeping the last capital surrounded by units. Keep in mind too, that BEFORE capturing that last capital for a Domination victory, you can save and use that to reload the save for other victory conditions on Deity
Deven Howell I'm just missing "That We May Live In Peace" and "Such Ambition Finds", but I think that I'm going to restart because their archers are almost impossible to defeat haha. Thank you very much!
can u save just before u take the last city for tge domination victory .... then reload it again to get the economic victory ...then reload to get tech victory.... can it be done this way ????
Knight blitz. Feudalism: unlocks knights. Monarchy (4), Horseback Riding (1). Monarchy: Code of Laws (3), Writing (2), Ceremonial Burial (1). Most civilizations get Horseback riding by default, Zulu do NOT if you're using the Impi warrior blitz.
SLY trickster Depending on the civilizations you're fighting against, you should go after the ones with strong archers. For example, the English have some epic archers and I recommend taking her out as fast as possible.
WHAT.
You can SELL units with the right analog stick?

The Japanese achieved FTL travel in 1930. FFS
To me it seemed I couldn’t get anything done because every Civ was at a constant state of declaring war on me and having 15 millions armies of legions in the ancient era
@@finndawg7312 Yep, that's also a thing
@@TOONYBOY I once defeated a civilization that was defending with archer units without even having bronze working researched....bruh
Check out the tech victory world record he goes to space in like 20 turns with the americans using the most popular strat but he got really good rng
Thank you soo much for this. I managed to snag about 7 achievements using this so far. I created a game with the Zulu and once I had defeated all opponents except one, I blocked off his borders and made a save. Then I won domination, reloaded won with economic etc. Again, thanks so much!
Thanks a ton dude. I thought I was never going to be able to 100% this game. Now that I have surrounded the last city the rest is a cake walk.
This is the best strategy video I've seen. I'm going to attempt this on the level just under deity to try it out. Thanks dude!
Lol a loop hole in this strategy is if you're going against the Greeks their hoplite army's will wreck you 😭😭😭
Finally decided to look up a guide for the deity achievements, it just feels so impossible and I would take a chance every once in a while to get those final achievements to finally be able to leave one of my favorite childhood games behind me with a 100 % complete, but the Ai on deity would just wreck every strat I would try with different civillizations just when I thought I was doing well, now I have had enough and it is time for the Zulu rush Nation to attack! No luck required, you make your own luck with skill 😼 I believe in you!
(Edit; It finally worked, thanks a lot for this video ima follow) I know this is years later but this game makes me so frustrated. This helped me a lot more than other vids-all of them told me to use the Aztecs but Zulu works a million times better!
I'm happy to hear this method helped! :) this basically knocks out ALL of the deity achievements if you save towards the end and go for the alternate victories while the last enemy stays trapped.
Forest tiles don't give attack bonuses just 50% defense
This strategy works very well I had to do several restarts before I got it to click but it did so thank you very much there are certain nations if you fight against you won’t be able to win if you don’t hit them early so it’s just worth a restart at that point but thank you very much!
You're welcome :D I'm glad I could help

Super easy and worked like a charm... I won on King in 20 turns with your strategy!
Happy to hear I helped 😸
Thank you!!! Worked perfectly and it got me five achievements!
I managed to take over all the capitols on my continent but the british have 3 cities on their island. They are all surrounded by mountains, and by the time i built a boat, and moved all my troops to the island they had archer armies. :(

Thx 4 da help
You're welcome, good luck with the achievements! :)
This strategy is good for a full game because it puts you well ahead of the remaining civilisation but getting those achievements is a nightmare!
Did this on King and won so easily. Though I used a DLC that made the mape shaped into two lobes connected by a small bit of land. I started on the small connecting land and quickly found the enemies. Won by 400 BC.
I was gonna try this strategy but the game decided to spawn me on a 2 by 3 Island.
Using the Chinese to steal money, I got a Domination win by 1200 BC using Tanks and BBs on Diety level on the Money Matters scenario. I would buy tech from someone, like navigation and monarchy, then send in a spy to steal 1,100 gold.
Wooooooorld Domination is always the answer.
Especially when it means four deity achievements made easy! :)
Deven Howell Nawp, if i do that i just fail :P.
So i just play on warlord, only because im only a beginner.
The last achievement I need and I'm with really struggling with it. By the time I've found their cities they already have archers defending :(
I'm aware that I am very, very late to the party... But this is not working for me so far. Idk if I'm doing something wrong, but every time I get to a city they have archers that have much better defense than I have attack.

I hope I can recreate your stragedy. Whenever I play on deity, even barbarians kills my warriors almost everytime.
This is good and all but I have lost like 5 maps in a row now because my superior units have lost battles to much weaker units when trying to fight battles.

Every time I play and try your strategy by time I meet my first enemy it's like 1400bc
You make it look so easy most my wins I’m in the year 2000
I can't get this achievement and I've tried 5 times. Help!
Private message me your gamer tag and I'll try help you on xbox one of these weekends. :)
Every time I try I get to the first enemy either around 1400bc or if I get there in the 3000 bc area they have archers that have 15 defense
L3 to manage workers while on city menu
Wow it still works, first try.
I'm stuck. i was following your guide and it is very helpful, but then when I started attacking the French, they had archers, which are imposible to defeat. Should I restart again?

Ah ok! Best of luck to you!! :) I have another video that uses the Aztecs Horsemen blitz if the Impi keeps proving to be unlucky.
Deven Howell I just did it!! Thank you very much! I really was struggling with those achievements! Thank you!
Congratulations!!! You're welcome!! :D
can u save just before u take the last city for tge domination victory .... then reload it again to get the economic victory ...then reload to get tech victory....
can it be done this way ????
Yeah
This isnt a guarenteed strategy, can still lose 100 times before you get one win, its all luck
hey you won. how'd you do it?
Im having a lot of trouble with this achievement. Nothing seems to be working, can u temporarily add me on xbox to help me out plz
Private message me your gamer tag and I can hit you up sometime this weekend. :)
are u still going to help me out with the achievement on xbox? :(
Just sent another friend request to you. :) not sure what happened to the original one lol...
thx
You can PM me your gamertag and I'll try help on Sunday this weekend. :)
What do u have to research to make night units?
Knight blitz.
Feudalism: unlocks knights.
Monarchy (4), Horseback Riding (1).
Monarchy:
Code of Laws (3), Writing (2), Ceremonial Burial (1).
Most civilizations get Horseback riding by default, Zulu do NOT if you're using the Impi warrior blitz.
Don't waste your time with this strategy, just use the Aztec horseman rush, and save a bunch far less tries.
Do you still play Xbox?
I have messed up 7 times and had to restart. I suck at this game badly even with guides right in front of me :/
Can't do it.Every time I try the AI allways gets archers asap.
SLY trickster Depending on the civilizations you're fighting against, you should go after the ones with strong archers. For example, the English have some epic archers and I recommend taking her out as fast as possible.
Thanks and can I add you as a friend? My gamertag is just SLY trickster.
Too easy with Zulu....do it with America!
This is so annoying see real games all on islands and the one I found 3 out of the 4 civs the other was on a island in the middle of nowhere
Hi
Hello :)
