You are certainly one of the good guys. I know some people that say "I am not payed for that, so I don't touch that". Let's use that three phase switch for example: These people would never have touched it, because it worked when you got there. You are a service technician who knows his business and the eventual pits customers can fall in. Every customer of yours can be lucky to have you as a technician.
So true. It's ridiculous how fobbed off a business will get (especially the place I work). They pay so much money in callout fees and repairs, and they'll be called out maybe every 3 or so months it seems! I know that the repair budget (which goes to this type of thing for my workplace) is however much a month, but they've already spent £7000 just from the start of the year to mid-Feb. Crazy.

Could have paid a guy $20.00 and hour to change filters and check belts, change as needed , hour 3 hours later . $60.00 once a month.HVAC guys get $80.00 and hour where I work. He would have diagnostic tested ,changed sensors ,replaced switch, fan motor,
Been trying to tell them at my workplace the same thing, they don't care, they act as if the repairs and preventative maintenance comes right out of their paycheck...so when stuff breaks down I continually remind them that they're the ones that decided preventative maintenance was too expensive.

Been there, done that! I'm retired now. I did 39 years, in Canada, on the front lines and loved my job most days. The worst ones for me were the ones that ignored/deffered the heating repairs that I had recommended during my fall maintenance checks. On the coldest day in the winter, that unit fails and I am up in the snow and cold fixing the thing. I took no pity on those customers. All my good customers get a break once in a while, but not the ones that try to save a buck. I kind of miss the action and occasional aggravation. I enjoy your videos and your "no nonsense" approach.

I don't know why I'm being recommended this channel a lot lately, but I stopped to watch and I love it. I work IT, but seeing firsthand the types of things that go on in other fields is an awesome concept, and I can see how the diagnostic process is worked through in each of these calls similar to what I work through on a daily basis. You've earned a sub from me, even though I know nothing about HVAC!

Nice video, im legit sending this to some of my techs. Im a service manager for a commercial hvac company and i find a lot of my guys struggle with the jade controller. All of them have been to the class but the way you explained operation while troubleshooting was very easy to understand and just the way you went thru the job with your thought process.
I bet the staff at that restaurant are literally breathing a lot easier after all that work. It’s probably like working in a whole new building for them.

I have several large chain restaurants that seem to “put off maintenance “ every time there is a change in management at the restaurant. One simple issue turns into a full day. The majority of the time, explaining how important preventative maintenance truly is both inside the kitchen and on the roof they usually change their mind about preventative maintenance on a regular basis. Nice thorough job diagnosing, and correcting the issues!
i was this many days when i learned 90% of the last 50% of what I didn't know about bigger ac systems and sensors. My friends new house has 6 zones and 3 different systems with dampers and sensors n stuff. at one time the phone line went to the hvac system. If you dont enter in dtmf pass it went to the alarm. Which could also control the hvac. Concrete and cinder 3 story home, they started to cut and pull the old alarm system and phone and took down hvac. If it was "telephone looking wire" they cut and pulled it. I got everything open and some cheap thermostats that's working the fans and furnace right now on the bottom floor. Heat rises :) I'm hoping some ESP32 chips with a raspberry pi3 I can DIY a modern setup. I've only watched about 4 of your videos, but this was the first I seen the economizer explained. One of her systems has that feature and I had no idea what it was or supposed to do. Thanks for making me smarter.
Customers think they save money when they cancel preventive maintenance. Yes you save initially but in the long run they spend a ton on repairs that could have been prevented. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve told a customer that they’re saving too much money. Don’t buy a contactor but buy a new compressor when it burns up do to points that are burned up. SMH lol
Unfortunately that is how Accounting 101 works. Maint comes out of one budget, replacement parts and units come out of a different budget. Top (mis)Management sends down an edict to save maint costs this quarter. They end up spending 5 times that much on replacement equipment next quarter. But the year-end bottom line looks wonderful and makes the Annalists happy, and the Maint Manager gets a year-end bonus of $50K for saving the company 7% on the quarter's budget.
Yeah its all about the numbers with the corporate restaurants its just a big money shift.... @@lwilton Actually, accountants are usually conservative and will ADVOCATE for PM and things because they look at the long term, not the short term. Managers look at short term and their bonuses and say "fuck the bean counters." And yes... many times the bean counters don't know the real world either and also shortchange it. I guess, when it comes to all jobs, it's the guy or gal in the field that can give the best feedback and is the most often ignored. *facepalm*

Love your videos. I am not an HVAC Tech but I do commercial service and often get sent to things that turn into HVAC company jobs. We do a lot of Electrical work for the companies we sup the HVAC to.
I recently stumbled across your videos and have been binge watching them 😂 it's simple enough for a non tech to understand and shows professionalism. In this "I got mine don't care about you" world it's nice to see someone who cares about their customers and makes sure they stay operating. Maybe if UA-cam grows enough you can hire a camera guy 😂
Good job in diagnosing a bad 3-phase switch. I'm sure a lot of techs would of just replaced the motor first, then replace parts back from there back to the starter or contactor all at the customer's expense! I deal with a lot of 3-phase motors but typically 50-100 HP ones and there is a procedure for testing and it's not really that hard to properly diagnose whether it's the motor, the wiring, the starter or what triggers the starter coil, but far too often people just don't understand how it all works and just start replacing parts. Anyways props to you for doing a good job diagnosing the issues!
I’m a FIeld tech for a cable company. I too know how a trouble call can go from something simple to a hole can of worms. It’s nice to see a tech who puts hard effort to get there customer running the correct way!
You should consider a chest mount or shoulder mount for a camera, that way you can do stuff without gimping yourself by having to hold a camera with one hand.
Been watching a couple of your vids now. I'm a complete neophyte when it comes to basically everything you're doing, but it's still interesting to get a "hands on" view of a job you don't know anything about. As well as seeing all the bad things you come across, like the leaking oil, or the completely plugged filters, etc. I don't know that I'll be a regular viewer of your content, but at the very least I can claim that whatever you're doing (regarding the videos) is working :) Keep up the good work, and thank you for instructing the masses.
Part of the legend of Pandora's box.. when Pandora realized what she had done she reacted quickly and trapped the worst evil of all in the box ... foreknowledge or hopelessness. Mankind would not be driven insane by knowing all of the sadness and troubles that would befall him. I think of this after I've had a bad day at work. Interesting story.

Stopping PM is a very short term money savings for the customer. As complex as any AC system is it needs consistent looking after. Keep on top of it and the customer will then see a huge money savings in the long run. It's hard to convince people to spend money when nothing is broken to save money. Great video
I kept my spare exhaust belts in A/C evap compartments to keep them out of the heat and dry rotting. May not be a problem in So Cal . I was in Las Vegas and summers were brutal

Finn Green I’m training new guys on the job. When finished with inspections we walk the roof and pick up all the debris on the roof. They were complaining about picking it up. I told them it didn’t matter who put the trash there. We were the last ones on the roof and it looks bad on us. The customer doesn’t know but if you’re the last on the roof you take the blame. Always pick up after yourself and others. It’s not fun being someone else’s trash man but the job is now yours. Take pride do it right the first time. Stay safe.
@@actechformallyyomama746 As a maintenance man, Trash on the roof irks me. I spent 3hrs cleaning out a downspout once that was clogged foot and a half with leaves because someone left a coke can on the roof. It went down the scupper, the downspout and got lodged at the bottom where it connected to a 3" PVC running under ground and out under the sidewalk. No amount of back washing would clear the clog. I had to end up climbing through holly shrubs, cut an access hole in the downspout and pull all the trash out leading to the coke can culprit.
Another great and informative video, I like how you check your units and see the whole picture to insure system is working to it’s maximum potential. I’m sure a lot of people are better thanks to tech like yourself shearing their knowledge. 👍🏻

Nice call on Not changing the motor on the exhaust fan. I knew immediately, the motor was single phasing due to the fact it was trying to start but couldn't and the overload kicked out after a few seconds. Good job!

Mr. Sunshines, in the industry, we say a 3 phase motor is "single phasing" when its only getting 2 of the 3 phases. Clearly this is a 3 phase motor trying to start on only 2 phases which is why the pulley is alternating direction and trying to start when power is applied. Once he takes out the faulty switch, we have 3 phase again and motor works fine.
Matt,my comment is LONG and it may have you scratching your head but here is my comment. Matt......you are one smart guy. I am 58 ,started this trade when I was 26. I had no schooling and started as a "Duct Cleaner" . Back then I dont think we had portable vac systems like they have today. I had the Pringle Vac truck with a power take off. It pulled 13,000 Cfm's. ANYWAY.....I worked as a HVAC helper,/ apprentice in the Spring and Summer. I slowly worked my way up,gaining knowledge to the point I was installing on my own. The service came a little later. I worked for my boss for approximately 11 years and then he became terminally ill. I had absolutely NO experience in running this company. But I did it because his family did not know who else they could of relied on to keep the company going. While he was sick,he tried to go over as much as he could so I could keep his business going. Well,he died. I had 2 choices. Keep running the company that was overwhelming for me cuz of the lack of knowledge, or Walk away,and work for someone else. Because I loved my boss and his family I felt I had to do this. So I did. I ran his business for his family the best I could. I made mistakes ,but over the following 2 years I learned alot because I had no choice. This family was counting on me. My bosses wife had a good paying career and really did not need the revenue from.her husbands hvac co. After 2.5 years, I was tired of running this company like I was the owner and either wanted to move on,or offer her money to buy the business. It took awhile for things to materialize but she finally excepted my offer for the business and I bought it. That was well over 30 years ago. After having the company for 8 years,I DID NOT want to work for myself anymore. My father came down with terminal brain cancer. Well before he got real sick,I would have to not work days so I could take him to his Dr's Appointments, which were in Center City Philadelphia. This wore me out and by the time he died, I DID NOT want to own my business anymore. I let the company devolve, and started working for other contractors. The guy I work for now ,I have been working for him for over 8 years. No refrigeration but commercial HVAC. Anyway, I am making my comments because .I have alot of years under my belt but my knowledge is laughable compared to what you know. Matt,you are ANAL,but you are DAMN great at our field. I wish I was 1/4 as knowledge as you. I have only been following you for a few months but DAMN........you inspire me to work smarter,more efficiently ,and like you always says. Look at the big picture. Do not assume ! Anyway,thank you for the time you put into your video's. One more thing. You need to have artist draw a cartoonist Charactiture of you and make T-shirts with your caption saying " Thats interesting ". On the west coast we have to recommend dehumidifier options! Try to convince a customer that a.c. is not their problem! I have convinced one customer so far and they are the most successful in the area and refuses to tell others. What we did!
You should tell your costumers to watch your videos. That way they know your the best in the biz and your actually doing what’s right for the customer.
your 100% right on that motor situation, they no longer make the short motor due to they were not efficient enough. ran into this once at a hospital, ended up replacing the whole exhaust fan.
The motor could be sent out for a rebuild at a motor shop. The cost would be less than a new motor (if it was still available) and would be just as reliable. I have had motors rebuilt and they look and run like new, because they are.
Chris appears to be honest enough to take that chance considering that is one of his long-standing accounts. Considering Covid, some businesses are bleeding money trying to avoid Chapter 11 and keeping their staff working to support their families.
I you are thorough. The problem we run across is you are only allowed a 500 dollar spending budget on repairs so you patch it up at times. Till next service period then you know you have the funds.

Keep a spiral notebook in the service truck with listings of regulars, listing #of units, basic filter and belt sizes, and dates of last service and quick notes of highlights of last service. Just to try and get an idea of what you're walking into. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

I run into this at my school buildings. I've only been in the district for a little more than a year. Boiler issues do to lack of maintenance and AC issues do to lack of maintenance. Keeps me busy but also have to watch what I spend.

Dual enthalpy economizer controls are a must have here in New England. Restaurants are the worst when it comes to maintenance contracts and paying bills. Lots of shady restaurant owners. Typical sign of single phasing is when the motor rocks back and forth. I like to brush the crud off the exhaust fan motors too. They need to breath to stay cool. My favorite saying when customers don’t renew a maintenance contract: Pay me now or pay me later.

Speaking of pandoras box ... this reminds me of a friend telling me "my PC is loud" and then I find out that the Watercooling Radiator and Dust filters are completely clogged up with dust and that there isn't any thermal greas on the Processor etc. 😅 Not doing maintainage will always cost you more in the end when everything fails and dies
Tomorrow in the live event I'd like for you to explain how you handle a customer like the one in that restaurant- they had obviously cheeped out by stopping the maintenance. The customer is probably expecting a call for a couple of hundred bucks and it works up to a days labor several sensors - a bunch of belts - a half a truck full of filters and a fan motor. So now there looking at something north of $2500.00 or so. If you diagnose the big picture and source all the parts and arrive at a quote you will have a few hours in just the diagnostic- what do you do if the customer decides to live with the humid dining room??? Do you leave them with the diagnostic information so they can shop your price- or just eat the time and get even later if they call you to fix everything?

Been trying to tell them at my workplace the same thing, they don't care, they act as if the repairs and preventative maintenance comes right out of their paycheck...so when stuff breaks down I continually remind them that they're the ones that decided preventative maintenance was too expensive.

Been there, done that!
I'm retired now. I did 39 years, in Canada, on the front lines and loved my job most days.
The worst ones for me were the ones that ignored/deffered the heating repairs that I had recommended during my fall maintenance checks. On the coldest day in the winter, that unit fails and I am up in the snow and cold fixing the thing. I took no pity on those customers. All my good customers get a break once in a while, but not the ones that try to save a buck.
I kind of miss the action and occasional aggravation.

I don't know why I'm being recommended this channel a lot lately, but I stopped to watch and I love it. I work IT, but seeing firsthand the types of things that go on in other fields is an awesome concept, and I can see how the diagnostic process is worked through in each of these calls similar to what I work through on a daily basis.

Nice video, im legit sending this to some of my techs. Im a service manager for a commercial hvac company and i find a lot of my guys struggle with the jade controller. All of them have been to the class but the way you explained operation while troubleshooting was very easy to understand and just the way you went thru the job with your thought process.
I bet the staff at that restaurant are literally breathing a lot easier after all that work. It’s probably like working in a whole new building for them.

I have several large chain restaurants that seem to “put off maintenance “ every time there is a change in management at the restaurant. One simple issue turns into a full day. The majority of the time, explaining how important preventative maintenance truly is both inside the kitchen and on the roof they usually change their mind about preventative maintenance on a regular basis. Nice thorough job diagnosing, and correcting the issues!
The age old cause for this is you have middle or upper management with no clue just looking at financial statements trying to save money.
i was this many days when i learned 90% of the last 50% of what I didn't know about bigger ac systems and sensors. My friends new house has 6 zones and 3 different systems with dampers and sensors n stuff. at one time the phone line went to the hvac system. If you dont enter in dtmf pass it went to the alarm. Which could also control the hvac. Concrete and cinder 3 story home, they started to cut and pull the old alarm system and phone and took down hvac. If it was "telephone looking wire" they cut and pulled it. I got everything open and some cheap thermostats that's working the fans and furnace right now on the bottom floor. Heat rises :) I'm hoping some ESP32 chips with a raspberry pi3 I can DIY a modern setup. I've only watched about 4 of your videos, but this was the first I seen the economizer explained. One of her systems has that feature and I had no idea what it was or supposed to do. Thanks for making me smarter.

Customers think they save money when they cancel preventive maintenance. Yes you save initially but in the long run they spend a ton on repairs that could have been prevented. I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve told a customer that they’re saving too much money. Don’t buy a contactor but buy a new compressor when it burns up do to points that are burned up. SMH lol
Unfortunately that is how Accounting 101 works. Maint comes out of one budget, replacement parts and units come out of a different budget. Top (mis)Management sends down an edict to save maint costs this quarter. They end up spending 5 times that much on replacement equipment next quarter. But the year-end bottom line looks wonderful and makes the Annalists happy, and the Maint Manager gets a year-end bonus of $50K for saving the company 7% on the quarter's budget.

@@lwilton Actually, accountants are usually conservative and will ADVOCATE for PM and things because they look at the long term, not the short term. Managers look at short term and their bonuses and say "fuck the bean counters." And yes... many times the bean counters don't know the real world either and also shortchange it. I guess, when it comes to all jobs, it's the guy or gal in the field that can give the best feedback and is the most often ignored. *facepalm*

Love your videos. I am not an HVAC Tech but I do commercial service and often get sent to things that turn into HVAC company jobs. We do a lot of Electrical work for the companies we sup the HVAC to.
I recently stumbled across your videos and have been binge watching them 😂 it's simple enough for a non tech to understand and shows professionalism. In this "I got mine don't care about you" world it's nice to see someone who cares about their customers and makes sure they stay operating. Maybe if UA-cam grows enough you can hire a camera guy 😂
Good job in diagnosing a bad 3-phase switch. I'm sure a lot of techs would of just replaced the motor first, then replace parts back from there back to the starter or contactor all at the customer's expense! I deal with a lot of 3-phase motors but typically 50-100 HP ones and there is a procedure for testing and it's not really that hard to properly diagnose whether it's the motor, the wiring, the starter or what triggers the starter coil, but far too often people just don't understand how it all works and just start replacing parts. Anyways props to you for doing a good job diagnosing the issues!

I’m a FIeld tech for a cable company. I too know how a trouble call can go from something simple to a hole can of worms. It’s nice to see a tech who puts hard effort to get there customer running the correct way!
Bro your thoroughness is amazing.
You should consider a chest mount or shoulder mount for a camera, that way you can do stuff without gimping yourself by having to hold a camera with one hand.
I am just so impressed at how you never give up or feel defeat.
Been watching a couple of your vids now. I'm a complete neophyte when it comes to basically everything you're doing, but it's still interesting to get a "hands on" view of a job you don't know anything about. As well as seeing all the bad things you come across, like the leaking oil, or the completely plugged filters, etc.
I don't know that I'll be a regular viewer of your content, but at the very least I can claim that whatever you're doing (regarding the videos) is working :)

Mankind would not be driven insane by knowing all of the sadness and troubles that would befall him. I think of this after I've had a bad day at work. Interesting story.

Stopping PM is a very short term money savings for the customer. As complex as any AC system is it needs consistent looking after. Keep on top of it and the customer will then see a huge money savings in the long run. It's hard to convince people to spend money when nothing is broken to save money. Great video

I’m often amazed how many discarded parts, bolts, screws , drink cans and food containers are left on roof systems -
So ownership ignored basic maintenance with a contractural engagement of a competent service company and now an expanded list of issues must be addressed and varied service industry staff and customers suffer the consequences of neglect -?
Finn Green I’m training new guys on the job. When finished with inspections we walk the roof and pick up all the debris on the roof. They were complaining about picking it up. I told them it didn’t matter who put the trash there. We were the last ones on the roof and it looks bad on us. The customer doesn’t know but if you’re the last on the roof you take the blame. Always pick up after yourself and others. It’s not fun being someone else’s trash man but the job is now yours. Take pride do it right the first time. Stay safe.
@@actechformallyyomama746 As a maintenance man, Trash on the roof irks me. I spent 3hrs cleaning out a downspout once that was clogged foot and a half with leaves because someone left a coke can on the roof. It went down the scupper, the downspout and got lodged at the bottom where it connected to a 3" PVC running under ground and out under the sidewalk. No amount of back washing would clear the clog. I had to end up climbing through holly shrubs, cut an access hole in the downspout and pull all the trash out leading to the coke can culprit.

Nice call on Not changing the motor on the exhaust fan. I knew immediately, the motor was single phasing due to the fact it was trying to start but couldn't and the overload kicked out after a few seconds. Good job!

I'm aware it was a 3 phase fan. It was "single phasing" on 2 of the 3 legs however. The 3rd leg of 3 phase was dead for whatever reason.
Mr. Sunshines, in the industry, we say a 3 phase motor is "single phasing" when its only getting 2 of the 3 phases. Clearly this is a 3 phase motor trying to start on only 2 phases which is why the pulley is alternating direction and trying to start when power is applied. Once he takes out the faulty switch, we have 3 phase again and motor works fine.
Also, its not wrong to say single phase motor or split phase motor.
Matt,my comment is LONG and it may have you scratching your head but here is my comment. Matt......you are one smart guy. I am 58 ,started this trade when I was 26. I had no schooling and started as a "Duct Cleaner" . Back then I dont think we had portable vac systems like they have today. I had the Pringle Vac truck with a power take off. It pulled 13,000 Cfm's. ANYWAY.....I worked as a HVAC helper,/ apprentice in the Spring and Summer. I slowly worked my way up,gaining knowledge to the point I was installing on my own. The service came a little later. I worked for my boss for approximately 11 years and then he became terminally ill. I had absolutely NO experience in running this company. But I did it because his family did not know who else they could of relied on to keep the company going. While he was sick,he tried to go over as much as he could so I could keep his business going. Well,he died.
I had 2 choices. Keep running the company that was overwhelming for me cuz of the lack of knowledge, or
Walk away,and work for someone else.
Because I loved my boss and his family I felt I had to do this. So I did. I ran his business for his family the best I could.
I made mistakes ,but over the following 2 years I learned alot because I had no choice. This family was counting on me. My bosses wife had a good paying career and really did not need the revenue from.her husbands hvac co. After 2.5 years, I was tired of running this company like I was the owner and either wanted to move on,or offer her money to buy the business.
It took awhile for things to materialize but she finally excepted my offer for the business and I bought it. That was well over 30 years ago. After having the company for 8 years,I DID NOT want to work for myself anymore. My father came down with terminal brain cancer. Well before he got real sick,I would have to not work days so I could take him to his Dr's Appointments, which were in Center City Philadelphia. This wore me out and by the time he died,
I DID NOT want to own my business anymore.
I let the company devolve, and started working for other contractors. The guy I work for now ,I have been working for him for over 8 years. No refrigeration but commercial HVAC. Anyway, I am making my comments because .I have alot of years under my belt but my knowledge is laughable compared to what you know. Matt,you are ANAL,but you are DAMN great at our field. I wish I was 1/4 as knowledge as you. I have only been following you for a few months but DAMN........you inspire me to work smarter,more efficiently ,and like you always says. Look at the big picture. Do not assume !

On the west coast we have to recommend dehumidifier options! Try to convince a customer that a.c. is not their problem! I have convinced one customer so far and they are the most successful in the area and refuses to tell others. What we did!
You should tell your costumers to watch your videos. That way they know your the best in the biz and your actually doing what’s right for the customer.
your 100% right on that motor situation, they no longer make the short motor due to they were not efficient enough. ran into this once at a hospital, ended up replacing the whole exhaust fan.
The motor could be sent out for a rebuild at a motor shop.
The cost would be less than a new motor (if it was still available) and would be just as reliable. I have had motors rebuilt and they look and run like new, because they are.
Chris appears to be honest enough to take that chance considering that is one of his long-standing accounts.
Considering Covid, some businesses are bleeding money trying to avoid Chapter 11 and keeping their staff working to support their families.

I you are thorough. The problem we run across is you are only allowed a 500 dollar spending budget on repairs so you patch it up at times. Till next service period then you know you have the funds.

hmm. i thought that only happened to me. Glad i'm not alone! Not even field specific. Can't tell you how many customers have brought me mowers that "just needed a tune up" after sitting outside for 10 years with water in the tank.... yeah... needs more than a tune up buddy...
from time to time I will transport those/or similar roof unit in the trailer of my truck xD nice to see how they work.
Keep a spiral notebook in the service truck with listings of regulars, listing #of units, basic filter and belt sizes, and dates of last service and quick notes of highlights of last service.
Just to try and get an idea of what you're walking into.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

Dual enthalpy economizer controls are a must have here in New England. Restaurants are the worst when it comes to maintenance contracts and paying bills. Lots of shady restaurant owners. Typical sign of single phasing is when the motor rocks back and forth. I like to brush the crud off the exhaust fan motors too. They need to breath to stay cool. My favorite saying when customers don’t renew a maintenance contract: Pay me now or pay me later.

You have the most understanding customers.. it I had a no cool on xyz equipment but then started messing with other none related items like exhaust fans and reefer rack they’d be questioning me hard. Even if I was doing the right thing. Customer trust is hard to find anymore thanks to guys screwing them over.

Speaking of pandoras box ... this reminds me of a friend telling me "my PC is loud" and then I find out that the Watercooling Radiator and Dust filters are completely clogged up with dust and that there isn't any thermal greas on the Processor etc. 😅

Tomorrow in the live event I'd like for you to explain how you handle a customer like the one in that restaurant- they had obviously cheeped out by stopping the maintenance. The customer is probably expecting a call for a couple of hundred bucks and it works up to a days labor several sensors - a bunch of belts - a half a truck full of filters and a fan motor. So now there looking at something north of $2500.00 or so. If you diagnose the big picture and source all the parts and arrive at a quote you will have a few hours in just the diagnostic- what do you do if the customer decides to live with the humid dining room??? Do you leave them with the diagnostic information so they can shop your price- or just eat the time and get even later if they call you to fix everything?

Nice job. I notice that these units are very grubby inside. Is there any advantage in keeping the interiors vacuumed or wiped clean? Does anyone bother?
