My brain still hurts from literally everything you did in this video. This was so much fun dude! 😊
Hey Spidey can I get you and Shin's autographs, 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊
@Tim John Thsnk you so so much.👍👍
Will you ever teach or sell this trick ???
Yeah

If you watch it at 0.25x speed, you will see that he actually produced the cards in the air.

Well no, watching the envelope wont help you at all lol.
I rewound and watched it. IT DIDN'T EVEN MOVE.
Apologies for the reupload, the last one had a weird glitch in the matrix. Also I know from the last video with takumi, a lot of people were skeptical about it being a single take so here is the full zoom conference link w/ me and Spidey ua-cam.com/video/6QHPj3X5kk0/v-deo.html
Ok thx bro. Keep up the good work and stay safe and healthy!!!😁😁😁😁🙏🙏🙏🙏
Shin in you are magical
I just got the Sheridan course in card manipulation so maybe one day mine will be as good as shins ( probably not going to happen ) but still hoping
You are so amazing bro
How do they fit in there 😆😆👌
Shin: we will teach other after this video ends
me: No, don't leave me....i need to know!
I believe you accidentally cut off the video early if you wouldn’t mind adding the end part back on that would be amazing
I would love Spidey to make a tutorial to explain his card trick. This was insane! It's so clean!
Called Trilogy X, but a slightly different version
Shin, first you are doing a second deal and then you take cards by the help of black frame in your back.
Congrats Sherlock
😐
Woaw, great tricks, very impressive. You are both so exceptional.
Next vs : Alex Pandrea?
Thank you very much for this great idea, the versus match.
thats why i hate when people do magic in camera
He's great at dealing 2nds to force the card. Legitimately smooth
One question Shin…
How?
He made a blood sacrifice, that's how
Magic that's how
GeoDash the first part he probaly took cards from the bottom or he did a second deal . Then he put the 9 of hearts on top and the rest idk .
@@chinbc6015 well yeah everyone knows that but how the fuck did he do the rest?

How bout Gordon Ramsay hehehe. Do Shin give a heart?
@@olandpozon9571 Ya scewpid donkey
For the 9 of hearts you can see that it's on the top at all times and he's dealing from the bottom. As far as the letter.... real magic ...
They would cry
Bal nki kla🤣
If you supper slow motion you will see that in frame 2:15 his thumb goes black as it passes behind the cards that he has suspended in the black border of the picture frame. the cards are turned sideways with a black edge so they blend in perfectly
I noticed that and glad someone mentioned here :D but what confused me is (coz m no magician) how did they all become 9 of hearts.. obviously he knows how to make people pick whatever card he wants them to pick that's only how far I could go :D
@@hitman17011986 Shin did second deals while he is dealing the cards, which mean he was always dealing cards second from top until Spidey said stopped.
Do you know how that envelope worked out?
1: where does shins thumb tip go at 2:15, 2: whats the black artifact between the cards. theres good slight of hand, then theres just the impossible
Yeah! I didn’t have Shin down to be using camera tricks 🤔
I wish I had such a cool friend who would tell me the secret... Or friends at all

I can tell you the secret... watch it at 0.25 speed, and watch the cards very very carefully as they "appear" out of thin air. Notice anything strange?
green screen..
Did anybody realize on AGT it was the 9 of hearts lol
Well obviously the 9 was forced 😄

Saw him live, it was the nine of hearts there as well. But that still doesn't explain how he pulled them out of thin air lol
Can we please appreciate the amazing Harry Potter T-Shirt Spidey has ... 🔥
"I'm not lying, forcing cards, doing fake shuffles, nor anything shady. Promise! I would never deceive you."
- Someone who deceives people for a living.
Oh shit I almost peed my pants at this comment!
Shin Lim must be a Republican with all that deceiving and lying!
@@jzizzles7799 I think you're right! I mean if he was a democrat he would have made Trump disappear by now, right?
Well, I think even those who speak the truth can be really good deceivers. They only need to speak the half-truth. For example, the magician probably did not lie, did not force a card, did not do any fake shuffles, or any of that. But they can easily do something else such as taking a glance of the card at the bottom of the deck, make a slight indent on a card, etc. The best magicians are the ones who are truthful but still manages to fool us.
@@jzizzles7799 all that deceiving just proof he is American.
2:15 x0.25 thumb
also 2:32 x0.25 thumb
lies. deception.
Yeah, saw the thumb at 2:15 as well. At 2:32, watch the shadows in the picture frame. They start on bottom, from the light going from left to right, then switch back, from a second light going from right to left. I'm betting there's a second camera with the blank scene prerecorded overlayed, and an assistant is just handing him the cards.
@@tmhchacham Could be possible. I never dared or wanted to think that magicians would resort to doing that cos then people would start attacking you, but in the end, Shin doesnt have to convince Spidey. All he need s to do is to convince us.
Edit: And about Spidey idk if its a coincidence that when he turned over the cards the numbers are not upside down or did he do smth with the cards
@@fadizehr1999 yes the frame on his left is actually much closer to him, that way he can pull out the cards from the black background

Like.. That was so freaking fair..
It completely fooled me I wanna learn ittt
Daniel Oliveira
He said he’s done this on tv. I’ve been looking through his channel and can’t find it. I also would love the name of this.
Its trilogy by brian caswell
dennis lochan
So you know how trilogy works? Maybe it was just luck but there is one thing that has that trilogy doesn’t. And I can’t work it out. I understand it’s a DD deck. So everything makes sense to me except he starts by saying, any card. And then says, pic a very different card.
It makes me feel so much better as a performer that even in a 1-on-1 call with a good friend, the world-renowned Shin Lim can, and does, still suffer from nervous hand tremors.
2:18 - 2:19, there's a frame looks like a cut
More tend to think there's something blocking. Part of his thumb was blocked with a straight edge and went back to normal in the next few frames....
I saw that tooo
Yes
I agree. It snaps. Even in the zoom version. I know how A LOT of sleight is done, and these literally seem to come from thin air.
Yep its staged
Amazing! Forced choice + perfect setup (the frame behind Shin is the KEY!). Entertaining!
For more reasons than what you may imagine, you're the Michael Jackson of magic. 😀
watch in 0.25x and then repeatedly pause and unpause..u will get shin's trick....its 100000000 level of practice...o man...im not saying but u will get the trick
For the 9 of hearts you can see that it's on the top at all times and he's dealing from the bottom. As far as the letter.... real magic ...
He slightly pulled the top card back with his thumb which was the 9 of hearts and deals from second card. 🤣
Definitely looked like a second deal force to me. Can see a flash of a heart above the ten of hearts which is presumably the top card.
I dont understand spydys trick I'm guessing easy tack spray but that's the only thing I can come up with.
@@keithcarney1175 You made me laugh😂
East tack spray?🤣
Shin I keep telling you not to use magic to fool people pretending that you are a magician.. Gosh..
Shin shaking while performing a new trick gives me hope
Shin's hair blends into the photo background very well.
Yes just like these cards 🤔
My crazy theory on the card-production 😂: They are real. They are somehow placed in the air in front of him but to a specific spot. From the angle of the camera this spot matches with the black background of the picture behind him. The cards are covered in black as well. He grabs the cards and reveals them.
you can actually see him looking there bevorehand which would support your theory
Yup. Thats my theory too. If you watched some performances of shin(52 shades of red for ex.) You should know, its not the first time using that "black card back ond black background" technique.
PS: My english may be bad. Sorry.
You are correct. The cards appear where it is black, and you can see him turning them.
if you play it from 2:13 and pause at 2:15 (0.25 speed) xyou can see that his thumb is kinda cut like there was something but you gotta stop ir real fast and also thers like a black card also on 2:15
I think you're right. At 0.25 speed, around 2:15 min, you can see Shin's thumb passing behind something, as if the cards are hanging by a thread.
JESUS died for our sins on the cross, HE shed HIS holy, innocent , precious blood for us (HIS blood washes away ALL sins) HE was buried but on the third day GOD raised HIM from the dead. All you have to do to be saved is: Believe in JESUS, trust in HIS blood. JESUS did everything for you, no works are required for salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Haha love the last part! Love this idea of magicians growing and learning from each other. :)
I figured it out...the cards are hanging by a thread and when shim “produces the cards” he just turns it to the face side. The other side of the card is black so it blends with the painting in the background. Play at 0.25 you’ll se what I mean. He only produces the card within the black spaces on the painting. It’s basically a setup which explains the weird painting position laying on top of the couch. Great concept though!
humm first i thought ur idea was dumb. But then by watching carefully, it could be what happened indeed :). Nice catch.
@@eirtars yeah its the only logical reason . he also never shown the back of the cards too sooo..
This could be very well it. The coloring of the video feed is a bit off, his hair also blends in with the painting. Blacks are darker than they should be. Basically a video editing trick. Pretty cool though.
Good eye. How did u see that ?
you are very very very close, but that is not exactly how he did it. A little something is off in your theory. Not a crazy something, just a little something. :)
I love how humble Shin is even though he literally is the best. He does a good job making other magicians feel relevant 😂
he is not the best u dumb kid
He is one of the best for sure... 😎
@@shubhsaxena8745 Calling a 30 year man old a “dumb kid” for stating his opinion. Classy...
I think it's too good in that the only solution it has would be camera masking and another person typing/printing the letter. I'm assuming the true video feed without any modification would show a very different trick.
Boy..Canada has so many great magicians! I watched lots of Fool Us episodes and some of the greatest acts were Canadians like Shawn Farquar or Wes Barker and loads of others, but unfortunately I had to google most of them to actually find out that they are Canadian. I have the impression Canada is a really magical country.
How many people go back to check the envelope when Shin says it was all misdirection and find out that the envelope was there all the time?
why does half of shin's thumb disappear for a frame when he produces the fan of 9 of hearts with his right hand? If you are going to use some video editing, at least do it well. smh.
He didn’t edit it
This is not editing.
@@valovanonym I beg to differ. its not just black art but its definitely been "touched up" after the fact to make it more deceptice on a high resolution camera.
@@magicmagicman have tou already seen a card from a 0° angle? Me not
@@valovanonym If it was just one card i would agree with you. but this is a whole fan of cards. His thumb disappears for one frame because some of the black art wasn't deceptive enough for the camera so it was painted out in after effects badly
Genuinely it’s not a random card given the angle he’s counting. Also you can spot the weird extra black background on the nines at 0.25x speed. Since there was video editing evolved, I guess the envelope was the easiest part.
Sorry Shin, I love your tricks but this is really not genuine.
I hate to be the "trick revealer" since it's not really about the method, but since you accuse of video editing... He owns cards with black backs, if you check his other performances he has used them before. It is very hard to distinguish a black object on a black background, and he just so happens to have a black background. Notice how you never see the back of those nines?
If you watch it at 0.25* speed you can see when Shin detaches from his body, writes that letter with Ipad, and prints it out while juggling with two burning pillows.
Looks like I'll never figure put where all those 9 of hearts came from. That was tooooo good
I aways love Shin's magic but this one is really hurts. I have pain in my brain now
It’s not camera editing, but it is camera tricks. Derren Brown did similar when he trained a group of elderly people to steal a painting. This only works on video. There is another screen showing the background, and an assistant can hold the cards behind the screen fir Shin to take. He simply takes the cards from behind the screen. To us, we see the background and Shin’s hands are genuinely empty. It’s simple.
Delete my previous comment ... I watched again and i have NO clue how it’s done 🤨🤪
The cards are actually painted black on the back of the card and are attached to string in order to blend in with the artwork.
Whenever he looks away from the camera, he's actually looking at the cards which are still hanging.
There's a reason why doesn't show the back of the cards when they appear.
As for the envelope, there's definitely some elite sleight of hand going on.
Still a flawless performance 👌.
Ohh makes a lot of sense
Both routines are VERY deceptive.
Shins I know probably about productions, have no clue about envelope.
Spideys I had an idea, but the same question as Shim had popped to my mind: HOW THEY FIT THERE??? lol
Im fooled, by both of you. LOVE IT!
Seriously it's a really easy trick...those cards came from another dimension...u used black magic to summon them. Simple.
Obito confirmed
It is probably black magic, indeed ;) (not kidding)
No he used /summon @shinlim nine of hearts
Hey whats the name of the trick that spydey does? A bit similar with brian caswell where everycard has a number on the back, thanks
"I can't top that"
Proceeds to completely melt Shin's mind.
If you look closely there is a cut scene in the video when he produces the cards 2:15
Shin, since Fifty Shades of Red and Dreamact I've never been fooled that hard again. Thank you, that was wonderful
😎😎😎 I know I'm not alone in saying these are two absolutely brilliant performances. 😎😎😎
Spideys trick:
Step 1: Prepare a table with an absolute black mat
Step 2: Before the trick, place three magneto cards(basically a card with one side magnetic) with absolute black on the sides with magnets and other sides with each 16,4,7♥︎ on the mat. Put the black side face up so Shin Lim can't tell that there are hidden cards.
Step 3: Pull out a deck full of magneto cards.
Step 4: Basically, at the start, he puts Shin Lim's three cards on each of the three hidden cards and use the magnets to stick it together.
Step 5: Reveal the cards and the hidden cards will stick onto the three cards Shin Lim chose. This creates the illusion that Shin Lim guesses Spidey's cards right.
i just saw shin sayin somthing at 8.25,check it out
I see jump cuts. Shim's hair moves an inch on the second card pull
I saw the same thing too. The other pulls I didn't see anything so I dunno but a little suspicious..
Pause at 2:15, there is a black card behind all the playing cards, possibly to blend in with the background.
i played it back in .25 speed and caught shin lim lacking at 2:15 . you can see part of his thumb disappear and a little black space behind the cards. you can either do a green screen or video editing :)
thats true bro!!!!!!!!
But he did the same production on aft and that was liv
I also thought of number 17. The bigger question is not how but why?

Hi shin lim i am your fan.......
You are 🙂🙂🙂🙂the best..... Bro
Want to learn the trick that Spidey performed! 🤩😭
it's called trilogy by brian caswell.
At 2:18 it looks a lot like a jump cut. There's an abrupt change in the position of his hand. If you watch it frame by frame, the hand suddenly moves a large distance which would only be possible with a cut unless you're the Flash LOL :) The shoulders and body suddenly shift and rotate too and hold the new position.
I'm not 100% sure, but usually your eyes can easily tell if something is a cut and not real life movement, and this looks very much like an edited video.
The cut before that was so well done I couldn't even tell it was a cut. After seeing the second one though, I went back and you can kind of tell that it could be a cut as well
Second's deal
@Nehemiah Coleman what's left now? That envelope? See the video again😂
This is why he is the winner buddy!
1:34 - 1:41, the 9 of hearts is still on the top of the deck and shin getting out the cards maybe in the middle or a card after the 9 of hearts... 😊
2:18 he cut the video.
if you watch the full zoom meeting the cut is not there anymore. thats legit.
No he didn't.
Actually he picks the cards up on the scenery. He can use many tricks, like chroma key back of cards, positioning them on some horizontal lines not visualized by the camera angles etc. There's an explanation to this kinda trick on the YT.
cdiogoc if you look closely on the first one you can see the chroma key
@@linc7378 Exactly!!!
Hello shinlim love your tricks ......Love from INDIA....
At 2:15 his thumb is cropped (only visible if you play at 0.25x speed) and at 2:32 there's a black line visible on his hand. The second is also visible while the speed is on 0.25x. This explains the mastery of Shin Lim. It's not for human eyes.
I also watched and tried watching frame by frame and caught the cropped thumb at 2:15. Green screen? There is also possibly a digital artifact as the cards appear; a black line/box at the top of the cards. Still, this is an amazing effect and practically flawless in real time.
@@museblock The drawings in the black have backgrounds that are absolute black, and he probably hanged the cards or something with some sort of black covering so you can't see them.
Misdirection but I just can't figure out how you pulled it out of the air when I was staring at your hands. Argghhhh. Lol. Amazing.
@shinlim @shin lim Gotcha 😋
There is a reason for the black picture in the background. Also it's a matter of the perspective.
@2:15 and @2:19 you can see a black paper which covers the cards - watch with x0.25 but you have to get the right frame. Nobody can see this without having the advantage of replay and slowdown 😁 Well done!
Also you are really starring at the spot the cards will appear because you have to grab them in this particular spot.
And @2:41 you can see the black paper as the last card.
show amazing
Shin tutorial: "okay, so first you have to get yourself an infinity stone..."
If this comment gets 100 likes, I'll reveal how the 9 of hearts trick was done. I will say this was a legit live call (not pre-recorded and edited after), the card was not forced, and the letter was also legit and nothing was forced there either.
@@ashwinsmagicandcardistry I wasn't planning on it. Just trying to help Shin by beating the UA-cam algorithm in his favor. I respect the time and dedication it takes to master the art like this so my lips are sealed.
2:15 watch it in 0.25 speed you'll see the editing😊
i believe it's angles, which is Shin's favorite in camera tricks. it can't be editing because it was a live stream that is uploaded on UA-cam later.
@@Viewer13128 i agree
It was a real random 9 of hearts shin. In your every show always a 'random' 9 of hearts is included.
But I don't mean any offense. It was a superb trick.😘
It can't be a background because in the photo frame behind him you can see the shadows and reflection of the zoom call and his hands moving. That is physically impossible for a background to replicate
I have never known you to do this Shin,. It really looks like there is a skip in the video at 2:19. I’m sure the trick was legit, but what’s with the skip in the video?
100 percent right , done w this guy , criss angel 2.0
If you play the vid at 0.5x speed, you’re actually being fool in slow motion
Looven z lmfao 🤣🤣🤣 i did it lol
Wow these were both great. Spidey's fooled me so badly.
Spidey was really good. I'm shocked that they TEACH each other tricks. Great insight Shin. Thank you. Amazing again.
Timestamp for how to do the trick: 9:54
Sorry, Shin am gonna expose it Penn style:
Sometimes magicians place objects on other objects, to the norm it would look meaningless, but decorating the set is always helpful especially when it absorbs all sorts of lights.
definitely, some tasks are too hard, and would be impossible for me to do it alone.
And as always your slide of hands is as clean as Hawaii's beaches.
man thank u it's clear for me now
well done
Not bad, but not as discreet as Penn style. I still can understand like maybe a quarter to a half of what you're talking about, whereas Penn can sound like total gibberish.
i actually dont know which trick was more impressive... simply wow
Where can we learn what the production of the 9's are called? or how to do it?
take a shot every time he says genuine
Everything that he catches is lined up perfectly with his picture in the background. If you look super close the first, second, and third set of cards have 1 black card each. If you do a switch fast enough it will look like you pulled them all from thin air. Ideally he used invisible thread or another way to suspend them over the picture. @shin lim The other trick is prob just knowing his friend really well. Anyway it was a phenomenal performance man!! I hope to see more of your work. I love trying to figure this out. Once you see the black card it will be hard to ever not see it again. The only reason I caught it was it messed with the frame of the picture. Love your work too @spideyhypnosis
You're close, but not quite. Cards have black (or green) backs, and the background is fake (green/black screen). They are suspended or something, so when he flips them they seem to appear out of nowhere. There is no way he knew Spidey would say they were eating popsicles, so the letter had to be typed off screen by someone and slipped into the envelope... which can't be seen because of the screen.
Green screen soulds plausible, but I'd say it's edited because there are loss frames and frame cuts if you look carefully right before the production. As for the mentalism trick, yes it has to be typed and printed after the reveal. The first paragraph has been typed before hand, it's just a 9 hearts force. The second paragraph is typed by someone off camera
@@1077derek It's not edited. As for the mentalism part, the typing of the letter is obvious... nobody is struggling with that part. The difficult part is the placement of the envelope and getting the letter inside it. There is no switching of the letter, and the envelope has no secret slits or cuts in it... which again leads back to the use of green screen.
Oh... the statement "green screen sounds plausible"... it's not plausible... it's a certainty. That part is not at all debatalbe!
It's actually Trilogy by Brian Caswell which was first released well over 10 years ago
