I have the corded version of this type of tool. They make a drum that does a great job of removing mill scale without trashing the metal underneath.

I was cleaning up some metal with the same wire wheel about 2 weeks ago. It grabbed my t shirt and nearly ripped it off. Luckily it stopped the grinder but it did a number on my forearm. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

I really don’t see the point a flap disk or a belt grinder can do the same thing in experienced hands
