So whatever works, I guess. Used to think of such methods being un-artistic but that‘s bullshit. It‘s all about putting shit together the right way and creating a vibe. Not sure but I guess Rick Rubin once said that no one is going to pat you on the shoulder for doing everything yourself. Having to want to create every sample, every sound, every progression on your own is a nice thing, but I guess it‘s really not a must.
The 8th note in the melody is off instead of a 1-123 pattern it supposed to be like a 1-1-12 it's hard to explain but if you listen to the melody from black Beatles again and I'm sure you understand

This is Logic Pro x, which comes with a large variety of sounds, however some of the sounds he used he bought and downloaded separately online, called plugins which basically add sounds and effects to your library. Logic with the sounds that come with it is 200 dollars, while the plugin prices can vary. Hope this helped!
