I had a Ducati 250, sixty four or so, my first legal road bike, I rode it about two years before getting in the marines and buying my first triumph and then a couple harley's a Norton atlas, and then an old flathead. I really enjoyed that 250, it was able to keep up with my friend's bigger bikes, got me down the highway well, and was a real joy to ride. I can only imagine that ride! Maybe one day. Always accept the offer to ride!
Loud clutches save lives! I've noticed Mike as an easy rider a lot of the time. Wow get him on someone else's bike, Dr.Jeckle disappears & Mr. Hyde comes out!!! 😁 Thanks to Steve for letting us see the inner Mike come out 👍

I'm almost speechless! For me, there are very few things on this Earth that can compare to a Monster, especially an older one with a dry clutch! Thank you so much Mike and Steve!
Hi Paula, I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video. It was a pleasure having Steve over to the cul-de-sac and a great thrill riding this amazing bike. I haven’t ridden a monster before and it was fantastico! Best wishes, Mike
What a fine motorcycle! Wind it up a bit: 1st, 2nd, 3rd - bam - and you're alredy at "go to jail speeds." Made me miss the same era Ducati I once had, they are great sounding, riding, thrilling bikes... and those dry clutch sounds.... Thanks for sharing this one - a real beauty!

Two months later the dealer in Puerto Rico called me... he had a Fogarty for and asked me to go and get it, the owner of the dealer wanted it for himself... and offered me $20,000. I told him NO. Thank you Steve ( I’m sure Mike extended a very British hospitality with a cup of Rosie and a Bickie 🫖🍪 while he was riding your machine ) thanks Mike. Ray 🇬🇧
Well I guess that's an inspiration! Riding a Foggy Monster post-hip replacement 👍 The Mighty Garage needs a MANX 🇮🇲 cat to welcome guests and open the show, especially showing off a Foggy 🇬🇧✌️. Crack on from New Hampshire 👌 Mike, time to leave the cul-de-sac for a rural house with barn, neighbors 1 mile away 🤣
Ha ha, so true. I’m really running out of room in the garage and would love a larger workshop. Unfortunately I would probably just fill it with vintage bikes! Yes I’ll see what I can do about the Manx cat… But our cat may not be too pleased 😀
Thank you very much Henry. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It was a really enjoyable visit and a fantastic ride. I haven’t ridden a monster before and it far exceeded my expectations. Best wishes, Mike
These Monsters are beautiful - we have an artist that does sculptures of old car body panels and she has a very precise sense of shape, you just look at a heap or a collection of fenders welded together and suddenly you see almost an alive being animal there... Ducati did the same with the Monster.
You look good on that Monster, Mike! You might need to add one to your stable! 😃 Great bike. For guitar folks, Steve reminds me of Dan Erlewine (guitar builder/ repair). Even sounds like him! Cheers! 👍🏍
Ha ha, please don’t tempt me! I really do like the Italian bikes. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, there isn’t room for another bike in the garage at the moment 😉
Notice how they prefer the revs up. If you shift up to 5 or 6 at say 60 mph they kind or chug along. I just find it’s smoother keeping in a lower gear and above 4500 rpm. Beautiful machines to ride.
Thanks a lot Andrew. Yes I agree. I still need to remember that when I ride these amazing bikes. I tend to ride them at too low revs! I rode my friend Geoff’s 900SS and another friend commented that I hadn’t revved it hard enough. I showed Geoff the video and he agreed. 😉😉
Looks nice and sounds great when being revved. I've had a few Ducati's, 900SS bevel and belt. Also a big Foggy fan, 4 time WSB champion and also an IOM TT winner and lap record holder. Good to see Steve enjoying the bike, I've not seen that model in England.
Yes, I know what you mean Kevin. It really did have some great acceleration for a “vintage“ bike 😉 Of course, it felt like a brand new bike to me as I mostly ride the old bikes. Best wishes, Mike
That Foggy is a beautiful bike, Mike. Steve has kept that bike in fantastic condition. I love the sound and feel of a Ducati. I have an 02' S4 Senna, which is actually not a special edition/model like the Foggy, they are referred to as Sennas just based on the color I think (info on that is sketchy). I think you need a Ducati in your stable, Mike..... Thanks for posting.
👍 Nice! I've got a 2002 S4 but it's not a special version like this. Mines Grey, and I'll be redoing it in red this winter, I didn't hear him mention the special Red key/Black key issues with the isolation system. iow, don't lose the red key. I am going to be selling my 998 superbike so the monster will be my only Ducati shortly.
@@TheMightyGarage the keys are part of the security system which is inside the instrument cluster. It makes the bike inoperable and if you lose the red key used to be $2500 problem. Now, sometimes you can find someone selling the keys and instrument pkg deal on eBay but last set I saw was still $500. Anyone who owns one knows or will shortly.
It was an awesome video the bike is amazing mostly because it's a classic now. I really got to take your advice and when get offered to ride someone else's bike I should take them up on it I've turned down two opportunities one with a Harley and one with a Riker three-wheel bike . I turn them down because I'm afraid of breaking their bikes I have visions of me slow speed dropping it but I really will make an effort next time to take them up on it. Keep up the good work I really enjoying this cul-de-sac video.
Many thanks, JP! Glad you enjoyed the videos. Yes, you’ve got to say yes next time 😉 Yes, I can’t believe it’s already a classic. It felt like a new bike to me! Best wishes, Mike

Power is 50W, Frequency is 40 Khz, Cubage is 2.5L. I've been really happy with mine. My friend Dave also got the one from Harbor Freight and it's very good. I think I paid about $80 for it. Cheers, Mike
