Well, better late than never... Kestrels seem to such little 'bombs' of energy! Nice to catch the hover, too. We have pair nearby, nesting in a church tower, but they seem a bit 'careful', perhaps because we have two pairs of Red Kites, and at least one pair of, I think, Common Buzzards. Delightful little guy, and they are so beautiful, in the bargain :-)
@@RobertWEiser-su8tp indeed... impressive watching kestrels blast out of a car window to nail a starling...talk about "attitude". Thanks for sharing your experience with these little rockets!
This guy is a master at having his bird perfectly tuned into an immediate response time factored in with thecideal country for which to fly her. Texas? Open flat semi-safe
Just starter work with my male ak 6month old imprint flowen plenty other birds but my first ak and first bird I had that’s trying to carry what wood I advice to try stop that as oveasly don’t won’t that happening with a kill
Need to fly them in a wide open spot void of places to land i.e. poles, wires etc. They can be difficult to train to go up, time and patience required, they are sharp little birds and a blast to work.
Took my time, reinforcing the behaviors I wanted, trained him like a larger falcon but never used a lure, flew in areas void of places to sit or land, flew on windy days, and again, reinforced what I wanted, smart bird, liked to fly, miss him, quite a character.
Hola, entonces el nunca casa presas vivas, no sabe? Solo vuela ? Es espectacular cómo se eleva será por qué no sale a buscar presa solo a hacer lo q le marca su instinto, porque a mí me gusta qué casen pero también es un deleite verlo volar ten alto qué en su medio natural no lo hace y parece un peregrino
Bravo Hansom commands the sky. He's the best !!.
And who said Kestrels can't fly!
Thanks for the comment, you're right of course, Handsome is the Best.
Love the Hover!! Big winds for a small Falcon and look at him go!! He seems very proud of himself with a little ruffling when he landed on the fist.
Flies at 95 grams and loves to fly, he really gets moving for a small falcon.

Is it easy to train to go up like a lanner, are they clever and learn to gain height easily?

Hola por lo qué entendí no usas señuelo, pero cómo haces para qué se eleve tan alto?
A trick: watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Luka Maxim definitely, I've been using flixzone} for years myself :)
Hola, cómo lo acostumbraste a qué se eleve tanto?
