@@avalanche95 Too expensive. Add hundreds for a new motor, esc and new differentials and it’s more work and money than it’s worth. That’s whats kept me from upgrading mine.
@@festushaggen2563 I did it to mine and its not all its cracked up to be. constantly breaking upgraded rear diffs and front axles to the point i had to goto an upgraded erevo rear diff and bulkhead which is smaller and has less leverage on the carrier. it also somehow lost its charm. Thinking about converting it back or going way lower on the motor kv and getting a maxx for fast monster truck stuff.
@@rarbona Sounds about right. Almost every video I've watched of people upgrading their Summits had a follow up video of them stripping the diffs and twisting the axles. Sounds like it wasn't meant to be. That's why we need a 2.0 that's made for it.
There's really nothing that the summit can't do I guess! Also I thought it was really funny how intense the music was, while it was climbing to a giant pumpkin😆

The summit is one of the best all round car ideas I’ve ever seen. Wish I had one, and even better, wish there was a brushless one! Maybe 4s would be good.
Awesome. I still have my Summit from 10 years ago. Still runs perfect. I did however upgrade to a Mamba X esc and 1400kv Revolver outrunner for way more torque and run-time.
There is nothing Traxxas can do to make these cars any better,but I still think there should be a hybrid RC, I think a lot more people would like that!

Having an X-maxx and multiple TRX4s, Wide Maxx's and recently a UDR... I think it's time to add this to the collection. When will it have clipless body updates?
You broke out the old version body, it took me a few moments to figure out why it looked a little off. Still an awesome truck, my Summit is by far my favorite RC.
Build a 5th scale Summit with a proper drive train. Nothing could compete and you'd own a segment of the market no one else could compete in for a couple of years
@@Mr.Gribble with suspension like that it is meant to be faster than it is. If it wasn't meant to be fast why bother with the 2 speed tranny. Should have just left it single speed crawler then..

Nobody makes strong enough axles for a 4s summit. I’ve tried them all, they have all broke
