I've never found any ammo that the CZ Shadow 2 had an issue with including reloaded ammo when we were in the shortage. Still my favorite semi-auto pistol but for revolvers it's still my S&W 686+.
I hope Tangfoflio has improved their QC in recent decades. Back in the 90s when I had experience with them in our IPSC club they earned the nickname of "Jamfoglio" because of their unreliability. Literally at that time (mid to late 90s) you couldn't get though a stage without at least one stoppage and that was with quality factory ammo, not crappy reloads.
I have a couple of Tanfos and they are a bit choosy with ammo. When clean and lubed well they shoot great with most ball rounds. Both my Tanfos hate subsonic hollowpoints and are prone to slow feeding once the oil is drying up.
I dont know I never had an issue with my stock lll's. I handload my own ammo using hi tek coated 125gr and 135gr hard cast and load hot enough to cycle the slide reliably
The one thing that bothers me about cz in a tanfoglio/cz comparison is that the CZ lacks the safety block that makes it drop safe...I haven't dropped one of my guns (knock on wood I don't jinx myself) but it still bothers me just a little bit.
Wow those prices are much higher than the prices here in the United States. Enough of a difference that you can buy one of those and a glock. Nice comparison
Sligjtlt related question regarding you mentioning you use brass repeatedly for competition: How many times you usually reload cartirdges? Curious about it!
Nice pistols. Once the pistol is attached to you, it would be difficult to let it go. I got a feeling that you will be retaining both 🙂. I haven’t got any chance to shoot a CZ, but for what I see it is a very reliable gun and fun to shoot. Which one is your favorite?
Shadow 2 would easily have the better trigger since it has no drop safety/firing pin block. Which is also a big factor when modifying the trigger for competition since it is hard to negate the effect of the firing pin block on the smoothness of the single action pull.

That is the stupidest thing i think i ever heard. Doesn't matter if it standard or polygonal that has nothing to do with shooting factory loaded or hand loaded ammunition at all. Every bullet loaded in factory ammunition can be bought to load your own cases with. DA
Aside of CZ steel being superior? CZ owns Colt and Dan Wesson fire arms companies. CZ-USA has full compliment of parts for all CZ-75 variants. * Tanfoglio started as a poor quality copy of CZ-75 in 1970s .... and it was suffessfull only because CZ-75 was not freely available in Western Europe and in US .... purely because CZ-75 was designed and produced in then communist Czechoslovakia. CZ doesn't bother with patenting its designs .... so within a decade, the number of copies of the Czech design appeared around the world. Tanfoglio, although it was the closest copy, was as well of the poorest quality.
Tanfoglio is overall the better gun with all the respect to CZ

That's why every CZ has de-cocker. So hammer doesn't touch the pin.

Yes i have resized them, i believe it was a bullet height issue

I have never dropped the gun in my life .... and I carry guns in cocked & locked position. In addition, all CZ guns come with hammer de-cocker.
Do the grip profiles feel any different while shooting between the two? e.g. one feels bigger than the other or one feels more comfortable?
If there is any difference with the grips, i find it to be the slightest
