I would sooner clean the shower than watch coronation st. 😀 We lived on a boat for 7 years and condensation is the enemy, especially with kettles and wet washing around. A cheap dehumidifier from Argos was a life saver. We were amazed how much water it pulled out in a day. Living afloat has taught us a great deal about adequate ventilation, humidity etc.
Interesting video! I've had 3 separate surveys done to my ground floor 1930's 2-bed flat over time..all with slightly varying recommendations! It has ongoing mould/condensation problem. A very large reputable company (beginning with Tap) at first just recommended PIV system in one room only and a passive vent in another. A later survey detected significant rising damp in at least one external wall and recommended 'specialist damp proofing' treatment/replastering AND the PIV system..now a recent new survey from a different company recommends installing 4 vent-axia fans in kitchen/bathroom and bedrooms and also to 'rectify all sources of moisture ingress' before they're fitted, and repaint affected areas with Thermokote paint. Not sure what to think/do now 😞
Problem with qualified surveyors is this, some work for companies not themselves so do they care? Some are independent and work for themselves and never actually do the work so don’t guarantee anything, so do they care? There are very few bespoke surveyors who survey the job, write the report and carry out the work and trust me, they do care so if you find one hold on to it cause we are like rocking horse shit n chickens teeth very rare.
What are you talking about? The higher the air temperature, they more water molecules can reach their latent heat of vaporisation and turn into water vapour making the air damp. Air molecules don't expand, at higher temperatures, they just move faster. If you increase the energy, the electrons can jump subshells such as from pi to delta but the molecules don't change size man
Well I have to say his video and the explanation of how warm air hitting a cold spot causing the "dew point" made me understand what the hell was happening in my little 1800's house...A eureka moment you may say. Its better because of the video....but not perfect, which I now understand it will never be....Great video Damp man Sam 👌
It’s a shame you cannot take a more professional approach to these reaction videos, by focussing on the technical aspects, critiquing, amplifying or explaining as appropriate, rather than judging the presenter and his circumstances. You do not know this guy, his background or his life journey. Nothing wrong with a humorous slant but the snarky comments do grate.

I think you will find a dehumidifier would fill up in the Sahara desert so over a river wouldn’t take long

Glad you got some value 👍
good video again sam !
Thanks mark
You should call this series disparaging Sam. The amount of swearing comes across really unprofessional!
It’s damp Sams fault I can’t control him, he’s getting worse and a right potty mouth, regards Simon

I’ll wait to see your videos to learn how it’s done then 😵💫
@@dampsam No need to wait - just quite the snide judgements.
