I can’t tell y’all how amazing it is to sit here in Arkansas in the USA and listen to y’all talk about American designers like Ralph Lauren, watch you wear Calvin Klein clothes and others. I grew up knowing that Paris is the heart of the fashion industry but I gotta tell y’all, I’d enjoy the heck out of shopping at those wonderful brocantes in France with y’all. That being said, I can’t say I wasn’t proud to hear American designers mentioned in France. By the way Stephanie, I had been studying Art Nouveau and the Arts and Crafts movement along with a little Art Deco on my own on the internet and then when I started watching your videos, I felt like I found my long lost best friend, girl, I could talk about William Morris and his wallpaper and fabrics all week long and never stop to catch a breathe. You my friend, are my soul sister! I have been collecting every piece of Morris fabric I can get my hands on, some pretty large pieces and I intend to make myself a William Morris quilt.
So lovely to see Amaury join in today. Your cousin is such a gentle, kind, and strong man. It was sweet what he said about Natty. Oh my goodness that fabric is stunning and those pillows are lovely. I danced around the maypole as a young girl when my dad got stationed back in England. My mother is British and a war bride to my American dad. He’d get stationed there as often as he could so my mum could see her family. That blue and white of the hunting scene would be lovely as a tablecloth. I teared up over the loss of the ladies dear friend due to cancer. Emily the case for Stephanie’s computer is lovely. Great video today. Blessings and love to all. Glad to see Dan is close by and still apart of the château. Miss seeing him there. Have a great week. Much love to all.
Nice to see Amaury on here. He is right- the Detectorist is a wonderful series. Will always be my favorite. Charming, sweet, funny, the very best in every way.
Love love love having Amaury on the couch! He’s become a complete natural in front of the camera. Gentle, kind and a real renaissance man. Just adore you all and the incredible joy you bring to everything and everyone around you. ❤
All the gifts were a delight, as usual. It just occured to me that because of this channel THOUSANDS of us know what Toile de Jouy is. It was nowhere on my radar and thanks to Stephanie I also know its origins and how it was made. Stephanie's educational vlogs are the best.
Amaury was a great addition to Cadeaux! Hope he does it more often- and sweet Molly.Wonderful gifts, especially all the gorgeous fabrics and embroidered pillows.I thought Phillip was going to have an out of body experience! Love him.
Stephanie!! I’m Emily in Texas!!! I sent this so long ago, not realizing the epic scope of gifts you receive to get through, so had fully given up on thinking this would ever arrive. I was truly just enjoying watching this Cadeaux for the other side of Amaury - who knew he made curtains (too!?) and respected gorgeous fabrics! Our stay at the Monte Cristo in July was *perfection* (even suffered through a bout of food poisoning there, but simply could not have chosen a lovelier place). So, thank you again for that wonderful tip! Much, much, much love to you and all the LaLanders! I do have to admit I shed a few tears again watching this for my dear friend - but there’s happiness now, blended in. Hugs to you all. ❤
Just when I thought I couldn't like Amaury more - I'm also a huge fan of Detectorists! Just a terrific show. The soap you received is from a Kansas City, Missouri, company called Indigo Wild. The owner is wonderful and is very generous to the local dog rescue community. Best scents around!
What a treat to have Amaury and Molly join in at Cadeaux! And Dan lurking in the background too! LOL! The fabrics were stunning! It will be fun to see them turn up in future projects.
I don’t understand how this channel isn’t up to at least 50k by now! It is so fun to watch the lovely gifts from all over the world! People are so kind & the ad revenue goes to charity! We also get to see you all on another day of the week. It’s a win-win-win! ❤
That was so lovely! More of Amaury at the Cadeaux please! He is such a wonderful, kind and gentle man, like I never seen before! Its so nice to witness this. 💗 And I really can't wait to see what you will do with these gorgeous fabrics!!! 😍
When my son was six, he was tasked with learning how to read books but had difficulty concentrating on long stories and books. I switched him to comic books such as the Tintin series and Babar. Though most people try to get children to read from simple phrases, the fact that there are many words on a page with a single image can frustrate a child because they can't get the story right or want to be perfect in reading. For my son, the Tintin series was a godsend as each square held a few words, and the drawing showed what was not in the text. By the time Christmas came along (he started in Sept), he was able to read much better, his teacher was amazed at his proficiency and he went on to read other French drawn animation (bandes dessinnées) such as Les Tuniques Bleues (where he came to love history) and Scrameustache - which is sci-fi. When I start to notice that I'm losing the languages I speak other than my mother-tongue, I pick up a children's book and read it out loud. It anchors the phonetic sounds in my ears, refreshes the orthography in my brain and trains my eyes to absorb the lettering.
You know when you fall in love it makes you want to start growing things, I guess it’s something in our DNA or nature telling us to get ready to take care of someone besides just ourselves. I know how hard it is to miss someone as well Amaury, my husband of 32 years, died last March from complications of diabetes, he was on dialysis for 7 years. I take comfort in knowing he’s no longer suffering and I’m going to be ok.
The yellow frog fabric and the embroidered cushions go wonderfully together! I would do a bench or sofa in the frog fabric and decotate with the yellow cushions
Give him two years first. Amaury is teaching him how to repair the windows now and he is planning the structural updates to support the first and second floors in his head.
OMG is anyone else having a moment and not really being able to take in all the wonderful gifts due to Amaury's glass of wine balancing on the couch...perhaps it is just me. I keep waiting for it to tip over.😅
Absolutely! I was a nervous wreck over Amaury’s glass of RED wine precariously bobbing and sloshing about on the cushy upholstered sofa! 😳😬😩 I know there are easily wipeable, and certainly more sturdy tables, along with coasters aplenty at Lalonde to hold one’s beverages. Maybe they are looking for an excuse to reupholster the sofa, but regardless, I found that balancing act quite uncomfortable and it made for very tense viewing anticipating at any moment something getting unnecessarily ruined. 🥴🤪🤦🏻♀️ Please, Amaury, have a wee bit of pity on your empathetic viewers who are concerned for the well being of the wonderful items at Lalonde... from the sofa’s seat cushions and bolsters to the lovely gifts of easily stained pillows and lengths of fabric being joyously flung about. 🙏🏻🥰🙏🏻
The fabrics are leaving me without words.. The tigers and peacocks fabric reminds me of india. That set of gifts is an international cornucopia of artistic influences.
So fun! What beautiful fabrics , soaps and books. And the nice cards and bracelets! You are so loved! You have given so many a little escape. We live vicariously through your videos!
So happy at the amount of money raised for charity, well done everyone. Such amazing gifts , the fabric look adorable can wait to see the finished product. xxx
We are so glad you received our gift! We will travel with our metal detector when we come to Europe, and would be happy to try a few areas to see what can be unearthed when we come to LaLande!
@Yel I I didn’t know that. Chill Bill, the detectorist we mentioned actually lives in France so I’m sure he would be a good person to have detect LaLande.
The bicker between cousins about the two/three headed tenoner was hilarious! Well done for trying Steph but I'm with you. All the words Amaury used made sense, just not the order in which he said them 🤣🤣
Lovely having Amuary and Molly. Well done guys for raising all that money for movember. I can't get over those beautiful fabrics and other gifts. Such generosity is very moving. Much love to you all. Amaury I think you have started a new men"s facial hair movement.
I dont think you realise the impact your channel has had on people through such difficult times, you are living a fairytale life, it seems! We know you work hard, THANK YOU X
Its lovely seeing Amaury on the sofa, you both are such a joy to watch together. You had really beautiful gifts again this week, and the clothing ideas are spot on. It would be nice to make Amaury a both waistcoats out if the two colours, brown check & black check, also Phillip and Dan might fancy smething simular as well, I believe it would suit them lovely. Xx😘
So funny about the conversation of tools. Great vlog and wish the lady from Texas the best time in Paris for her husbands birthday. sending the sunshine card to Stephanie that was for her friend was a lovely thought xx
Zum-Bar is a great company! I love their sprays that I spray on my pillow . Such beautiful fabric!! I hope you will sew this winter, and share your creations!
Oh my goodness!!! Those fabrics and pillows 😍😍😍😍 absolutely beautiful!! I have to say I'm a bit envious! And yes the one would make a wonderful suit coat for Amaury. I really enjoyed this video with Amaury and the sighting of Dan, even the sweet dog. Good times and beautiful gifts. 🦋
Amaury So Delightful To See Him With you as He’s Always Working, He’s Adorable, Oh he’s Missing Natty So Much , Ohhhhhh, Molly is Beautiful, Hi Phillip and Camera 📷 Shy Dan 👌👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️🥂
I use the Zum soaps and they also have the correponding sprays. In cooler weather, I use the Frankincense and Myrrh which is a great scent to spray in closets and in linen closets. I also use their Sea Salt (?) spray which is great for the heavy heat of Summer. The children's books are such a thoughtul gift for your library. The men's and women's jewelry is fabulous, too! Molly is precious!
Nice One! What beautiful fabrics and cushions, the soaps and bracelets were so thoughtful! Great to see Amaury and Miss Molly joining in as well! Brilliant all around! Adore all the toile prints and anything Williams Sonoma! I used to be able to purchase overruns of W&S tablecloths at a local, weekly craft market outside of Moscow, Russia when I lived there. These products and other amazing linens were made by the Yakolevsky Linen Mill. I was able to tour the mill many years ago when I had my linen export business. Still adore linen and anything toile....and if they are together in one item, drooling happy! Cheers!
Amuary must join cadeaux in future. It was lovely to get his (and of course the lovely Molly) input. Just missing Nattie. Spectacular gifts as usual. Wish we could smell the soaps 😁
Lovely to see Amaury and Molly at cadeaux. I was drooling over the fabrics. My winter project is making quilts with the piles of material I have. Oh how I would love to make something out any of those fabrics. Another lovely vlog from some very generous and kind people. Love how this channel supports charities. Thanks for sharing 😍😘
Awww this Cadeaux was an especially lovely one, a real treat. Thanks to the awesomely generous gifts given and...the two special guests. Simply delightful

They have the Park room now. Stephanie said they can pick new furniture and decor when the new apartment is done. The Napoleon III style bed and wardrobe waiting in storage isn't to their taste.😘😘😘
Lovely to see Amaury and Molly. And, just so you know, "wohnen" is the verb to live (in a house, a town, etc.) and "leben" is the verb to be alive. So, "ich wohne im Schloss von La Lande". Wasn't sure about the "von" in that sentence but then my German is just 4 years of college level a million years ago! 😉
I love the Bee cloth. The octangle room that could be Michael Pethricks' room could be a Bee room with his work. A Bee hive on the wall and doors painted in garden views like windows.
All those beautiful stunning fabrics are amazing, no excuse in the winter months to be idle. Plus the amount of gorgeous books in the Lalande library will keep you busy. Thank you for sharing this vlog. 💕🇦🇺
Such a bonus having Amaury and Molly. Lovely Cadeaux.
I remember when Amaury first arrived and he was camera shy! This is lovely to see everyone so happy.
Amaury was a cute blusher in those early days, now he’s got some extra confidence, she’s a beautiful brunette. 😍

My dog is named Vincent VanDog . He’s a rescue and is missing a big chunk of his ear. VanGogh is my favorite artist.
That's so cool. You need to get a copy of that card
Hope Dan and Amaury hit over last years Movember..Great job guys.
Me too! Totally cool what they are doing.
Love seeing Amaury this week. He seems like such a kind soul. ❤

I liked Amaury's reference to Miranda Hart, "such fun". Hahaha 😆
Lovely to see Amaury join in cadeau. ☺️
Yessss, absolutely!
😉
I fall in love with Phillip each time he gets excited over fabric! Stephanie, hold on with both hands!!xx
Wow such a lovely young man. I am so happy Natti has meant someone so lovely too ❤️
The bee fabric would look beautiful as a waist coat!
That was so lovely! More of Amaury at the Cadeaux please! He is such a wonderful, kind and gentle man, like I never seen before! Its so nice to witness this. 💗 And I really can't wait to see what you will do with these gorgeous fabrics!!! 😍
Molly is such a sweet girl. Love your dress Stephanie.

I love how Amaury has become so comfortable in front of the camera 🥰 Phillips laugh is infectious 😂

The frog fabric and the garden toile would look nice as cushions and/or chair covers for the veranda. And so lovely to see Amaury and Molly too ❤❤
Love the books. The children's books are a fantastic way to learn the different languages.
The yellow frog fabric and the embroidered cushions go wonderfully together! I would do a bench or sofa in the frog fabric and decotate with the yellow cushions
I love having Amaury join in! I hope to see him again soon. Lovely gifts for lovely people!
I wonder if Dan was thinking how those fabrics would look in his Chateau!
Give him two years first. Amaury is teaching him how to repair the windows now and he is planning the structural updates to support the first and second floors in his head.
I vote yes on the pergola. That fabric is really cute
I just love to see Amaury and Nati together... They are just such a great match of soulmates.. Molly is such a sweet 🐶
Beautiful fabrics! Very nice to see Amaury and Molly and even a cameo by Dan. Great donation to Movember, thanks Stephanie 🙏🏻❤️
Love the beautiful fabrics and gifts. I’m with Amoury on the Detectorists show! It is a must watch! 😂
I also love mudlarkers on the Thames.
I’m surprised Stephanie doesn’t know about The Detectorists ,it is set in Framingham, think that’s where they live in England.
Molly looks so much like my English yellow Labrador Marlin😍 they could almost be twins well except Marlin is a boy of course💙
Yes it is lovely to see Amaury and Molly. Great fabrics ❤
All those wonderful fabrics, I can see so many uses for them at the chateau.
Thank you Amaury for joining the cadeaux club! We love watching you !
So glad you enjoyed the soaps, jewelry and the Tupperware was a real hit! Lol

What a treasure chest of amazing fabric.
Love Amory we need to see him more!
The fabrics are leaving me without words.. The tigers and peacocks fabric reminds me of india. That set of gifts is an international cornucopia of artistic influences.
Awww Philipp’s voice was nice to hear. I like the comments and camera work. Steph, I just adore you!

Omg I didn’t realize Aumary left the lopsided moustache! No wonder Nati is staying away 😂 j/k of course, he’s doing much needed charity work. ❤️🇨🇦
Oh my what luscious fabrics. So many projects ahead. Molly is a darling.
The bicker between cousins about the two/three headed tenoner was hilarious! Well done for trying Steph but I'm with you. All the words Amaury used made sense, just not the order in which he said them 🤣🤣

That is my mother's favorite poem.
If it doesn’t exist yet: TWO BLOKES IN A VAN should be a weekly podcast!
Go to Dan's vlog. Amaury is teaching him how to repair the windows of his new Chateau.
One of my teachers used to say the best way to learn a new language is to first learn your favorite childhood poems and then stories in that language.
Stephanie I watch this because I enjoy hearing your voice - it is so special. It is happy & joyful. I enjoy you sharing these events TY.
Amaury, your Miranda Hart reference made my day! Good to see you on Cadeaux. 😊
I dont think you realise the impact your channel has had on people through such difficult times, you are living a fairytale life, it seems! We know you work hard, THANK YOU X
Worth the wait! Hope Phillip is feeling better. 😊
Sweetness Molly and Amaury! Lovely gifts. You are radiant Stephanie! Hi to Philip and hiding Dan! Hugs from Canada!
Oh the books! Loving the books! Thank you for the video. Have an amazing week!
The part of the knife that makes it fold is called the pivot. Wonderful episode as always.
Amauary you didn't look nervous. Great Cadeaux!
Oh my god, I am loving all the fabrics..so gorgeous!

A great reference, as the Detectorists is one of the best shows on the tv. Looking forward to seeing the results from Lalande.
Love love love the Dectectorists.
I am always staggered at what arrives at the Chateau. I absolutely adored the textiles, there are some beautiful additions amongst all of that.

The small piece would make a beautiful bodice for a dress.
Awww this Cadeaux was an especially lovely one, a real treat. Thanks to the awesomely generous gifts given and...the two special guests. Simply delightful
Yes I remember the frogs Stephanie, and your recording of them! ☺️💕
Such exquisitely beautiful things, as usual. But the whole time I was worried that Amaury's drink was going to spill on the furniture. 😄 I'm glad it didn't.
I was worried too, particularly with all those gorgeous fabrics.
Molly is so adorable
The fabric and curtains are magnificent
Love all the beautiful fabrics and Amaury is such a gentleman!
Thank you thank you thank you for having Amory on Cadeaux. I think he’s the most handsome man in the world. I love him from afar 😁Phew xxxxx
Ps. Sorry Amaury - I spelt your name wrong 😢xxx
Amaury and nattie should have a pick of 'gifts' for their rooms. Yeh!!
They have the Park room now. Stephanie said they can pick new furniture and decor when the new apartment is done. The Napoleon III style bed and wardrobe waiting in storage isn't to their taste.😘😘😘
Hmm. Out of this world fabric + exquisite soaps+ jewellery+ magnificent books= wow! Bootiful! Just thank you very much.
Please Like the vlog and watch commercials for the charities.😘😘😘
