Reminds me of when I was a kid, I would make things like this because I didn’t have the money to buy them. Once I had money I bought what I wanted, but some of the magic was gone; so I have come full circle and now enjoy making things again. Two things I wish I had back then: CA glue and those step drill bits. We live in wonderful times.
@@dwong98 Some wood, drill, screw driver, screws, wire, wire cutters/crimpers, needle nose pliers, some used speakers, soldering iron, glue, and amp board is all you need to make this. most people already have the tools used, amp boards are what $10 - 50 usd depending on how much watts you want. Someone in the US could make this for less than $50 usd, and if they wanted to make one cheaper that that they could. The most difficult thing would be the knowledge to do it, not everyone understands how to wire this thing up but a few youtube videos on how to do it would be all it takes.
Its a great build apart from your speakers are out of phase and what you should have done is left the inside open, that way the passive radiators would work herder and you would get a more defined bass
wowwww... is super sound bar and good quality, but what I liked most because of your workshop, I felt like when one was a child and entered the candy store. jajajajajajaja .... Greetings from Colombia
a little details of the outside trims, it would be nice if it rounded around the speakers and the whole unit from all corners. it is an awesome project , good job
My first ever build, was a sound bar before sound bars were invented lol. Circa 1991 I Scavenged 6 car speakers from the junkyard, made a large box to fit 4 front facing and two side facing. Powered it with a converted 50 watt car amp I also scavenged..and voila...instant theater. Only thing was, I had to use one TV set for sound and one for Video haha LOL!
That's a really really nice Project - congratulation. Just on Question. In The Video it looks like the Bass-Speaker are out of Phase. Just how it looks for me. Maybe one try to change + and - for one of them and listen ... More Bass then my guess was right. If not change it back an feel good ;-). Like i said in the beginning: nice Project...
Die Kellerwerft I was about to comment on this also. The woofers are out of phase. The one on the right looks to be wired backwards, as it pulls inward with the bass. Also he used polarized electrolytic capacitors for the crossovers where they should have been non-polarized. He could get away with it if he used 2 polarized caps per speaker connected in series but opposing polarities (+--+ or -++-) thus creating a non polarized capacitor.
You are right. They are out of phase. At 14:50, looking at the capacitors, he has one of them connected to the wrong terminal creating the out of phase problem
Man great stuff, you build a lot of things on your channel and its very helpful and informative. Great how to videos by the way keep up the great work.
You connected wrong the polarisation of 2 mid range speakers. In video you can see this. When first speaker go out , another one goes in but they should go out when bass nocks the speakers
Please don't forget and consider that he used a 2 channel amplifier. The reason that the 2 peerles speaker are not both synced of their phase is might be because of the sound signal that is coming from the music of he's phone, and might be was of unbalanced frequency coming from the music or from the phone itself. Anyway he can test it by doing a parallel connection of the 2 peerles on its channel. Just my thoughts. ^_^
they do need it, as you can see they are not closed by themself. if he made it with no dividers the tweeters would viberate too due the pressure of the woofers
There was no crossover, he just used a capacitor on the tweeters. For best results you would buy a 2 way crossover unit, and also use separate bass and treble speakers instead of treble and full range.
Very neat and professional work. My suggestion add a headphone jack connect a Bluetooth reciever and go wireless. You need power for Bluetooth reciever which is rechargeable
you must invert the polarity on the right speaker because they no have syncro movement! When the speake play it must go forward, if you see carefully the right speaker, ( seeing the soundbar frontally) during play it go in opposite direction compared to the left speaker! you see this at 23:20 time!

Look at his tv setup... he has the money to buy everything, yet still makes this out of wood and plastic... that's just showing off :(
Trying to do these projects can be pricey as some people don't have access to a workshop full of tools
the things he used is NOT pricey at all, BUT the availability is what makes it hard for others to do this project

Great bro....please shows all your tools and equipment...
Seems like one of the speakers have inverted polarity. Right one is firing in and the left side is firing out.
No sir, it would sound really muffled then..
That is one hell of a piece of sandpaper 😊
Needs some primer, lots of sanding, and finished off with a coat of clear for that deep "piano black" look.

true
What if you made that one so that no mistakes
Dragon Slayer , i made a lot of projects like this. That's a big problem. It can decrease output sound volume to half of real output
The MJK DJ
Thats the point if you made that in his channel,no problem
Please don't forget and consider that he used a 2 channel amplifier. super design but one question can we add bluetooth device to this kit
Why did you separated tweeters in their own chambers? They don't need it, you wasted a big amount of air volume for the woofers?
they do need it, as you can see they are not closed by themself. if he made it with no dividers the tweeters would viberate too due the pressure of the woofers
@@bryanpeeters2552 it could be done with thick plastic cup or something on back of the tweeters.
@@dzonibravo7867 you're right, that's actually a really good idea.
You are a genius bro
Great vid, next video on making it completely wireless by adding Bluetooth 5.0 module and 18650 batteries giving it 12hr backup.
That's easy just change the amplifier to one with Bluetooth inside and then add 18650 batteries with charger
Your working room is so awesome
This is what Albert's room like.
I like the safety boots 🕺
First time I saw your shop in the whole year or so I've been subscribed. Looks cool!
Super creative.. 👍👍👍
Your creation is best.👍
I've seen other's,not very impressive.
Very nice.....however for better stereo separation i would have put the speakers on the end and the passive radiators in the middle
How did you calculate the parameter of the capacitor to do the “crossover”? You’re the best man!
of course he didnt
There was no crossover, he just used a capacitor on the tweeters. For best results you would buy a 2 way crossover unit, and also use separate bass and treble speakers instead of treble and full range.
I love you creative channel💓💓
Amazing and beautiful speaker bar
How much it cost to make can you make one for me tell me the price for it thanks
