Pipestone Natinal Monument is famous for the pipestone (the blood of the sacred earth). This stone is sacred to all natives and used to make sacred pipes a.k.a. peace pipes along with other carvings. I bought a turtle hand carved from pipestone on our last visit there.
This place also contains Winnewissa falls fed by Pipestone Creek.
