@@idiosyncrasygaming it's ok!!! your audio is totally fine and your voice is super smooth for video essays i loved it! it's just cause i had just done the "what will i watch" dance while my food was getting cold 😂
*the first 2 chapters of LIS1 is some of the best writing and structure I've seen in a story telling game 🙌 it starts off by walking you perfectly into the plot, gives you an important tool, introduces you to the world and gradually introduces each character and their individual scenarios 👍 then in chapter 2, it eases up and walks you through the Chloe field, shows you her storm and at the end of chapter 2, you make a major choice that effects everyone 🌟 just those 2 chapters alone are A+ writing, flow and story telling* 👌
This game is in my top 5 games of all time.Te characters feel real to me and feel actual guilt for my actions and no other game has done that to me. And the music is still top tier that has me happy and crying. This game is awesome nd I love it so much
Great video. Perfectly explains why I still like Life is Strange (even though I think the second one was better). Also, I know a lot of people praise the soundtrack, but i love hearing other people talk about it. I used to listen to the soundtrack before bed, especially after listening to a heavier album. Also also, I also played Before The Storm first! I'm gonna be honest, the ending is a little dissatisfying. I definitely didn't think about that at the time, but after watching both endings of Life is Strange (I got stuck in the maze and couldn't finish, hahah) and finishing Life is Strange 2, I definitely prefer both to BTS.
I definitely have to play the second game one of these days! And I might try listening to the soundtrack before bed some time since it's super relaxing!
I think something that might improve these reviews in the future is finding more direct choices of vocabulary. The repetition of “so well” and “so good” can get a little jarring. What words speak specifically to the game that couldn’t also be used to describe other games? Is it innovative? Atmospheric? I agree with your assessment of the game but I think you could do a lot more to bring these descriptions to life.
Real, that game changed my life. The only other piece of media I've cried to, strangely enough, is Wonder. Such an amazing book format, by the way. But I definitely cried during Life is Strange 2 a lot more. The only episode I didn't cry was in the 2nd episode, because I was so happy to kind of get a crossover, and even more excited and sad in episode 5 that we saw a character from the original game, but I definitely cried as soon as Daniel... you know. I'm trying to censor this for people who plan to play the game so they don't get spoilers. And don't even get me started on episodes 3 and 4. The living room might was well have been flooded.
@@damienlu7318 well I was disappointed with the first one. LiS1 has around 70 inconsistencies. And phew, that Nathan plot hole in Episode 5 ruined it for me.
Life is strange changed my life and I will never forget it. Also great video
Thank you so much!
the whiplash i got from the first 5s bc this is the video i decided to watch while eating
I'm sorry if that was too loud 😭

It’s one of my favourites. There’s so much about the game I love, especially the character connection etc.
This game easily has some of the best characters out of any game I've played!
I remember how well this game changed my life when I first played it in 2016.
That's awesome!

Recommend playing that last chapter of before the storm it’s worth it
After seeing the end of the first game, I can only imagine what the ending of Before the Storm is!
wait till you play the 2nd one
I do plan on playing it at some point!
