HIGH SHERIFF AWARDS 2024

Once again, the Playhouse in Alnwick Northumberland, played host to the 2024 High Sheriff of Northumberland Awards Ceremony. Celebrating the many charities, and organisations, who work tirelessly in their communities, to make life better for residents and individuals alike in this beautiful county. The High Sheriff for this year, Diana Barkes, explains what a great year it has been for her, and her team, through meeting people, working with charitable organisations, and the hectic time around the sad demise of the tree at Sycamore Gap on the isolated part of the historic Roman Wall. Organised by former High Sheriff, James Royds, this annual event is fast becoming one of the jewels in the North East crown, celebrating all that is good in the county of Northumberland.
