When BS bounce, it looses stamina, i think high needle would be better. Have you tried stock combo of knife shinobi? I tried it with rhino horn since I don't have knife shinobi. It's pretty good with flat launch atk type metas. Too bad i didnt get it in video
It's nice to have good defence beys, but most of the time i encounter Wiro and Agwolf combos, as their first 2 beys, and a random meta attack type, or cobalt drake or dragoon on elevate. to have a defense type of bey in the deck is a gamble I think.
What happens to the stadium shots? That is a very big reason I'm subscribed to your Channel because I love being able to see the Beyblades at a closer perspective
The reason why bounce spike actually works with rhino is due to absorbing all the impact rhino creates, normally what will happen is rhino will be bit bursted due to the all the recoil being pushed on the layer some of that recoil has to go somewhere so it goes down to where the bit is. Since bound spike absorbs that impact it actually makes rhino be able to withstand big attacks. Hope this helps!
Defense type bit having low burst resistance is such a strange way of trying to balance them out. They get heavily punished for doing the thing they're supposed to do.
It gets tricky because I think we should get medium resistance or somewhere in the middle but someone raises a good point if we got a defense bit that was a stamina bit basically but high resistance it's why I am on the fence on that aspect but burst mechanic is so rough to do
@@zankye I have also tested Knight Mail and Bound Spike, and for Knight Mail, I have had a bit of success with it on 9-60 Hexa, and I have tried it on other combos to (I can't remember which ones tho...😅); as of Bound Spike, I haven't done enough testing to see what benefits it can reap, but your combos has inspired some ideas for me to try, so I'll let you know what I find! 😁😆
TT is so scared to give defense any power cause of burst, but i dont think making them heavier and giving them some burst resistance would make them OP in X.
I find that the use of 7-60 actually hurts defensive types more than it helps. The protrusions extend downwards, so it's more prone to scraping when doing a tilted launch. It only helps certain defensive beys, not all. For tilted launches, I find the use of upward-curving ratchets to be of more use since it helps minimize the risk of bursting. For 7-60, it'll fit well on Leon Crest, Rhino, and probably Sphinx since they would all prefer to take hits while they're upright rather than when they're tilted; things like Knight Shield, Knight Lance prefer tilted launches on Needle bits, so they'll benefit from ratchets like 4-70 and 5-70. The tilt-defense types can ignore the ratchet height somewhat since they tilt, so even X-80 ratchets can be beneficial. There's also the issue on which defensive bits play better tilted or flat; by the looks of Bound Spike, you can only do a slight tilt to it on launch or else it's going to behave aggressively. About 5-10 degrees by my estimate.
I like 7-60 because a tight one especially 7-70 is very good at actual deflecting and pushing away opponents they are heavy and close to the ground so I like using it

@@zankye Oh yeah , it’s definitely funny when people use it for videos that aren’t meant to up turn your expectations if you get what I mean 🤣. Also great video as always man!
The main issue with defense imo is lack of weight (KnightMail decently heavy ig) and lack of burst resistant bits besides like hexa, which doesn't really have that much ko resistance paired with the high recoil defense blades
I think for balancing defence type is by making defence type bit shorter 1-2 mm like LF or even further, so the defence type can burst the attacker in most centric position.. Beyblade X now is about all attack or spamina, defence type is really forgotten 😔
Been using tyranno beat on 5-60 BS and honestly been loving it. With the green tyranno beat and the ratchet from Phoenix wing it makes for a real pretty green and blue bey.
usually when it comes to defense from testing with my local community HN seems to fair the best on combos like whale 9-70 hn tyranno 3-60 hn wing 3-60 hn so tilting or flat launching depending on the match ups, weve had an all defense tournament so had alot of testing to find combos that worked but in the end there were no actual defense blades just attack blades that had weight and power behind them for some counter attack
While the Burst system in X is much better than its predecessor, there’s still a problem which is the Bit Bursts which I find to be a design flaw rather than a game mechanic. If I were to rank how important each part is in an X bey from most to least important: 1. The Bit decides how the bey moves. When adding resistance into the Bits, it limits customization with competitive in mind. And the resistance could also be negated if a Blade is compact or top heavy. 2. Ratchets should be the only part that determines the Burst rate of a bey. 3. Blades are handled pretty well in X since they don’t have Burst resistance unlike its predecessor. To fix the Bit Burst problem, replace the resistance with more of a locking mechanism in a similar vein like the Performance Tips from MFB, but the Bits can still have the same design but the only difference here is that by putting the Bit inside the Ratchet, twist the Bit to lock it in place. Funny enough, when an X bey bursts in the anime, they always reuse the animation of the bey bursting in 2 parts with the Bit still attached to the Ratchet.
@zankye i recommend trying hells hammer 9-60 BS. I love the blue hells hammer from the UX-10 set and after trying a few tests it does well with the BS bit, being somewhat top heavy but still balanced and good at smash attacks. Keep up the awesome videos I’ve just gotten back into Beyblade since the metal fight era❤
the only thing i can think of is having the resisters like on the atk and bal tip and coming out with rubber versions of def tips (which does not fix the STA issue but it is something)
I saw the abbreviation on the Wiki or something, and I was like 'BS'? LOL they probably didn't take the other use for the abbreviation in mind when naming Bound Spike, SO.. Is Bound Spike BS?! XD
I put my Bound Spike onto Silver wolf mainly cause in a way it's for against Smash attackers while giving 70 Height ratchet for using The Parry mechanic
they could make future defense blades have a tighter grip on ratchets for burst resistance and the weight for defense as of the past being very light is a terrible design choice, i feel like it should be as heavy on attack blades or heavier than stamina blades by default
I use BS on Unicorn Sting. US 5-60BS Takes the hits like a champ and rarely bursts on my testing with other players, outspins most meta beys except, of course, WR. XD
Crest on BS has huge potential. Only problem is that I think BS is going to be awful against stamina. Still a cool piece though, definitely gonna test it out myself.
@zankye oh and btw knightmail 3-60 Elevate is great, being a good cobalt Dragoon elevate counter and a couple of time it was aggressive enough to destabilise wizardrod and silevrwolf on ball/freeball, result in them tilting while it stay upright and win
Defense in BeybladeX is not in a good position right now.. Defense in general in any other games are tanky, they have high defensive abilities that can take hits and mostlikely has huge HP / health In beyblade, HP/Health is the stamina So it is ironic that Defense Beys in BeybladeX has little defensive mechanism and they dont last that long.. and dont get me started with the new mechanic in X, the extreme line! this just boost up attack types so yeah.. I barely know someone who uses defense beys specially defense bits.. some defense blades are cool and has potential but the bits are just ughh..
@nmr7203 That's interesting. So defense tips like defense semidefense and wide defense are still used for defense types. What become of sharp tips then?
@@soleilsenpai2426in fact sharp points have always been bad but usable, now in Beyblade x what happens is the concept is reversed, Before the center of the arena was the safe path and now the center of the arena is the most dangerous, Therefore, spherical tips are good for deflecting and staying off center, the sharp tips go to the center to receive the impact and counter attack the opposing bey, It's no wonder that it was reversed, Another thing the center of gravity is in the blade so spherical tips are better for stability
@@soleilsenpai2426In short, defense beys need to counter attack so they now use sharp spikes and resistance beys need to maintain their spin so they need to run away and the spherical ones give more stability too, defense beys have no resistance they need to win before anyone can withstand impact
