I just renewed my Elementor PRO license for $399 and I'm already starting to regret it. You do not fix current problems, do not add basic things to the plugin, but only advertise your hosting - please stop! We are developers and we ourselves know where to buy good and profitable hosting, we pay for the plugin annually and we want the plugin to develop, not your hosting!
I couldn´t agree more! Just like you said they´re just advertising their own stuff that brings them money... AI, their hosting, now that stupid image optimizer, I mean... Seriously??? Sure, maybe some users will use that but let´s be honest.. Why would you?? There are FREE alternatives out there for optimizing images and they work great!
90% of all these features are not wanted by the community. Just finally focus on bug fixes!!! Image optimization is done by other plugins much better, like LiteSpeed. For free, with much more sophisticated settings. Hosting same story: As everyone tells you in the FB group: NOBODY needs that and you are far behind any real professional hosting company. Nobody of the devs here take you serious. And your target audience is NOT the simple customer that needs hosting and a page builder, you target audience is designers and tech people. Please finally focus on your real business. This roadmap was total disappointent! Although I did not expect the opposite..

I kinda agree, we need a ‘Booking’ widget to make appointments or reservations with Elementor Pro.
Designer? Yeah, maybe. Tech people? What do you mean? Starting developers? People who know something about developing a website with Wordpress? If yes, I don't think so.
Sorry, but there are way better tools if you care about performance and you know basics of HTML & CSS, maybe some JS too (but with ChatGPT you really need to know only the basics of the basics).
I would say that a big chunk of Elementor users are people who call themselves "website designers / developers" and all they do is buy a template, change the text, and sell it as their work for the clients with profit.
Based on the direction they've taken and the vast majority of their customer-base, their target audience is not primarily what you described; it's more of end-users who need hosting and a page builder, and entry-level to intermediate-level web developers who want an easy builder with lots of pre-built widgets, templates and add-ons without much regard for the underlying code output, and Elementor works great for that target audience.
For advanced web developer looking for a visual development tool, a truly professional builder like Bricks or Cwicly that offers clean code output, a class-based development workflow, and global components (upcoming in Bricks but already available in Cwicly) is much more suitable.
I've used Elementor since 2017 but in 2023, I moved over to Bricks because it was more in-tune with my requirements. Elementor still works great for those who don't have those requirements.
Hard disagree. I dont want a million plugins to solve everything, that just create a bloated site with security issues. Image optimizer and other performence enhancing features are awesome, that is a important ranking factor for Google. I love it, good work Elementor!
I hate that they're going so hard on their hosting. Their hosting is bad and every tester has confirmed this. Fix current issues please and improve forms :) !!!!!!
i dont update elementor for a few months to get bugs worked out. This is one thing Elementor should work on.
I think that 2023 was a big improvement compared to the year before. But that wasn’t hard looking how bad 2022 went. Looking at what they call 2024 roadmap - 2022 seems to repeat itself with useless features nobody requested. Lucky I’m flexible with Bricks now
can you please stop talking about elemntor hosting?... many of us dont want to change, i dont doubt its a great product, but for those who dont want to change we prefer tutorials, plugin updates, etc!!
Bro, their running a business. They have to make money. They have created Elementor Hosting. They would be totally foolish not to talk about it. Please, put yourself in their shoes. I know you want some features, ask for them. Don't knock their hosting. It's a business option they are offering. Let's take it easy with these comments.
@@francisokech Yes, I know it is a good product and I also know it is a business, but if you see the latest videos on their channel they only talk about that and Elementor is not only hosting, they should have a balance.

instead to focus on users require amd what we wanted, you guys just come up with plugins like image optimizer , ai and other things that nobody ask for and our requirements are just forgotten. Thx god i have bricks lifetime, which btw you pro standard plan just force us to go with advanced. If i don't have 3 websites why should i got that one? ah..because you cut off basic options from pro standard lol
How do you know that these features are not what users requested? How do you know that users did not ask for image optimizer, ai, etc.? And in your opinion, what do users require? What do you require?
@@francisokech not all of them , there was plenty of features people asked for, which other builders , have by default. just to you know, i have pro, cloud elementor and i use it for 4 years.
@@francisokech and btw, is not hate, but they should look how many people moved from elementor to bricks or breakdance, and they should ask themself why. Is a great builder, i used a lot, the current features can be better improved instead coming with new ai and other stuff.
@@CronYcK1 The main reason people moved to Bricks is the lifetime license. Even with the introduction of subscriptions on Bricks, you can see that they have retained the lifetime pricing howbeit at a higher price. I assure you that if they remove that Lifetime pricing option, their sales would drop off.
At the end of the day, no one plugin can ever do everything. No matter what builder you use, you must still buy specialized plugins like Fluent Forms, FluentCRM, etc. The benefit of Elementor is that it accommodates all the specialized plugins you would need for your work. Maybe Bricks would have a similar ecosystem with time but for now, Elementor rules in that area.

Elementor code is still bloated. Compared to builders such as Bricks, adding containers generates MUCH more code. I don't know if it's to do with backward compatibility or not but Elementor code is still way more complex. I would support a complete break with the past for V4. Keep providing bug fixes for V3xx sites but no new features. Start fresh on V4 for all new sites with the same interface but a completely stripped-out and fast back end that's not hobbled by having to maintain compatibility with old versions. If Elementor doesn't do this it will fall behind the more nimble competition as they become more fully featured. They already get hammered with the label of being too slow and it's only going to get worse.
I think what you fail to show is your actual roadmap on your website.
Long-term and short-term plans needs to be presented to the users as well.
Please also think about those who are already subscribed to an Elementor Pro plan, how difficult is it to provide a certain amount of monthly credits for AI or Image Optimizer that we are already subscribed to and paying annually for? Maybe if they would give me some amount of credits and I try it, like it and pay more... It's not that hard.

After 4+ years It's time to say good bye to almost useless updates, bugs and Elementor...
We moved away from the thieves at Elementor to Kadence Blocks and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made.

I have insider information that Elementor's long-term plan is to move away from WP and plugins to become a SaaS website creation tool (Wix, Webflow, etc), which is why they are focusing/promoting their hosting so hard now. They will fork and modify WP core, use their page builder and plugins on their hosting, and call it a complete web SaaS solution. This is why they are not addressing existing issues - they are focused on the future state.

They keep using the word 'professional' when describing Elementor. The only problem is that its not a tool for professionals but for the masses. Nothing wrong with that but call it what it is.
The display conditions feature is a very demanded one, unfortunately if that's all they have to offer they are still far behind what third party plugins for Elementor currently offer. Also, that's such a bad location for the display conditions, as it should be easier to navigate to it. And I saw no visual feedback to know if display conditions have been applied to the element or not.
