Kuldeep did seem to be a great guy. He is definitely well educated and not an average Joe tourist guide one finds loitering around tourist spots. The best part was his people skill and trying to bring out the dying arts through people like you. 14 Jan is the festival of Makar Sankranti and literally a kite flying festival. The sky would be full of them. Just look out for fallen threads, they are very strong and can cut the skin. Had your Gujarat plans been 2 weeks later, you could have witnessed the Kite Festival there. Kite fliers from all over the world come here. International Kite Festival is held in the Sabarmati Waterfront in Ahmedabad, annually.
Yes! Glad you could tell. Kuldip is a fantastic guide. Such a natural, and so enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about his community. The kite festival sounds amazing! Maybe next time!
