I lost my 6,000 square foot house that I bought from winning the powerball lottery that I bought a year before Katrina. Terrible year for me. I lost EVERYTHING.
@@The_turbo_engine Here in Kentwood Louisiana and it's not as bad but we all are desperate for lights, gas, and food. Luckily we did not flood and we do have power through out the town after 4-5 days. We may be getting power in the neighborhoods tonight or this weekend coming.
It would be nice if you would cover Terrebonne and Lafouche Parishes. Nola might be okay, but we took a direct hit and are totally decimated and devastated
I only clicked on this to see if they were going to show grand isle. I love that sand bar and want to see of there has been any progress on the clean up. Hoping to vacation there again someday.
@@ginadelsasso288 Grand Isle has just recently reopened to the public. But, it doesn't look the same since Ida. We're still trying to recover down here. But, we're keeping faith. I live in Lafourche Parish. I managed to save my house by the hardest by not evacuating. Cajun pride. This is home

I’m from New Orleans and I’m begging the news to please please PLEASE stop comparing Hurricane Ida with Hurricane Katrina!
Seriously! The sensationalism is insane. I wish they'd also get some coverage for down the bayou. Were hurting down here bad.

The only difference between Katrina and Ida was that Katrina was a deadlier storm than Ida
Mostly Black Americans suffered the most.
Huh ?

I don’t want to sound negative. This is a serious situation, but I notice, now nobody needed a mask to survive. Does that say anything ?
