I expected it to be like $500. $350 is not as bad as I thought, not that I will be buying it, but cool. The font on the keycaps changing is actually useful for writing in Japanese but I don't really do that anymore outside of writing to some old friends and I could just get keycaps if I really wanted or use my phone.
It looks like the keys are super close to one another, to the point of almost rubbing with one another. Wonder how that'll affect feel and sound...also might mess with your accuracy initially
yep, cant imagine it's going to be a pleasure to type on.. also not sure how they're going to prevent the wobbly keys as they've promised, there's a reason mx switches have rails (and even dual-rails now)
They had the sound on but you can't hear it here... it sounded quite good. As for feel, you aren't bottoming out on a screen, there is basically a plate fused to the top of the screen "laminated". Also, I'm pretty sure it bottoms out on the switch cylinder.
Sometimes less is more. I feel like if you had full graphics on display on a keyboard, it would be very distracting from everything else going on in the setup. I understand its called centerpiece, but why would you want a keyboard to be the centerpiece of a setup? What about the PC itself? Or the ambience of the entire setup?
For that price they could juste make a really nice keyboard. But no, a fucking screen. I guess the idiots who led-maxx their whole setup will enjoy this crap. I'll just use my custom mech board that's half the price and blows that shit out of the water... Ah wait, it's not an actual fucking screen, so I guess I lose. 🤪
Frank, I like your expert opinion of Gravastar Pro keyboards, somewhat better looking than the Finalmouse preview, and better still you can buy them now, plz take a look as I value your expert eye on all things keyboards and mice - thanks
Finalmouse the Tesla of the peripheral scene. Sleek, innovative designs. But with the massive downside of horrendous quality control. Truth be told you’re buying into fomo more than an actual product. Props to RFP for staying up for the release as well.
@@explosev6513 I prefer offline apps yes, because inevitably the webapp will be shut down and you will have no way to control anything. At least an exe can be backed up by the end user.
When it comes to keyboards Web apps are King nowadays and all people ask for. You can run them offline, open/close them quickly and they take no system resources. No bloat or annoying launch on startup. No comparability issues that make games crash or run worse or pop up ads
this is giving off kickstarter vibes
Finalmouse: all products shipped by 2077!
Finally holy crap bro, 3 years later lmao.
2 years buddy

Cause it's pretty damn cool...
Idk, maybe the performance is that good. I think the Corsair hall effect keyboard interests me the most though
i have the mices so i mind as well get the keyboard to go with it. Personally, it's because of the screen though. It'd go well with my setup
nahh the wobble when the keycap/spring is put on 😂😂
red flags for sure!
Have yet to get a mice from them without a qc issue. Keyboard would be even a bigger gamble.
Also could something like this overheat as well since it has a screen inside of it?

To answer shipping question - they said likely June or July - still not a firm date so could still be pushed back a bit
All I see is switches that are gonna be more wobbly than those inflatable ragdoll stick man.
From the looks of things it looks like its going to be some form of hall-effect switch but in a proprietary format

heres some renders now drop $400 in 2 more days (fomo) but wait it doesnt ship til july (maybe) and has been in development 3 years. cool.

+ rubbing may cause scratches on the sides of the key caps... and that seems like it might impact how the visuals appear
how nice of them to make a streamdeck xxl
i have a feeling directly bottoming out onto the screen like that isnt gonna feel nice to type on

Did you hit the bell?
@Aves_1 yes
Now I want to see someone speedrun a game while also beating flappy bird on this keyboard 😂

2 years in the making to add analog and remove the case design.
But can it run doom?
There is also another company Flux Keyboard, been years but still no final product
You will be buying blind for this one, because no reviews or anything. So you will just hope that it will sound good and will have a minor QC issues.
Isn't this the same as the flux keyboard?
can ya maybe watch the whole vid?
