I’m sure there are fridges all over the UK with the meat misplaced, Nikki has been cooking, shopping & storing for years & she’s survived without contracting salmonella , let’s give her a break.
As always, thank you for the last few vlogs really helpful on the journey and keeping it real to family life. I am veggie and have never cooked meat so can't comment on the shelf issue but guess it makes sense. Enjoyed the Quorn tips too. The cold cabinet peppered steaks are syn free and good sliced in salad. Hope to see you again soon. x
I’ve never stored potatoes in the fridge! They take up space and don’t need to be kept that cold. I also agree that meat should be at the bottom of the fridge as that’s the coldest part and no risk of contamination 😀
A great video Nikki. Thank you for taking the time to make it. We’ve tried the dark choc mint Grenade bars thanks to you. Argos sell a box for a similar price to Amazon at £18.99. Sadly they don’t sell the mint choc one so I bought Peanut Nutter to try and we really liked them. My next plan is to track down the mint choc shot as that sounds lovely. Thank you for all the inspiration. I have the Take 5 Book so plan on making the beef and aubergine bake this weekend x
When can I move in??!!! In my fridge: ketchup, mayo, salad cream, pickle, jam, lemon curd, onion vinegar, skimmed milk, carrots, cat food. Freezer: sweetcorn, peas. Cupboard: Noodles, ryvitas, beans, pasta and sauce, bird food, medication.... 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 Loved your video ❤️
This is fab, love seeing any new ideas to try. Not sure you know but putting potatoes in the fridge can increase the amount of sugar they contain, and lead to higher levels of a chemical called acrylamide when the potatoes are baked, fried or roasted at high temperatures which isn't great for you. They don't advise onions in the fridge either. I used to refrigerate both myself until I was told. It's upto each individual tho, just thought I'd let you know. Xx
Thanks for the video Nikki. I tried the grenade mint bar last week. Yep awesome! And yep..so filling... doing food shop tonight...must remember to put my meat on bottom shelf in future...and not shove it anywhere it will fit...
Great vid Nikki. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks there maybe another famine on the horizon. I stock my fridge n freezer n cupboards full like you. I'm terrible for not checking what veg we still have before another shop. Thanks for taking the time to share your food items. Shame it's turned into a food hygiene debate for some 😫💕
wish I was ur next door neighbour I wouldn't have to go shopping ....I would just pop 2 urs...... I have never seen as much of a selection for just 2 adults I am still reeling from amazement and I watched it last nite lol. I stick to the same stuff so this has given me sooooo much inspiration px
Amazing video. I work in a supermarket and theres definitely stuff in your fridge that u dont actually have to store in there, so you're essentially taking up unnecessary room lol. You've got soooooooooo much food in your house!! 🤣🤣🤣 great video to show new slimming world members you're right! Xx
@@NikkiRyan yeah like potatoes and onions. They dont need to go in the fridge. If u buy it from the supermarket and it's in the chilled section then u store it in the fridge, if its ambient then you can use a veg basket xx
Got some.ideas what to pick up when I go shopping! Is it possible to do a video on what snacks you give the twins? ATM I'm giving my daughter puree food (9months) but want to start her more on finger foods (currently has the fruit wafers or rusks). Noticed some of the stuff you said we're for the boys. Thank you xx
Omg the comments about the meat in the fridge 🤦♀️😴! Why comment to just comment something negative? Loved the video, love having a good nosy at how people storage things 😆 some stuff to remember for my next shop too! Xxx
Loved the video , I was feeling so low after putting on for the first time in 3 mths !!?! But again you have inspired me to get on track ,Thank you .. you’re amazing and I’m a huge fan x
I'm yet to find the mint choc shot and I'm desperate to try it, I've seen it everywhere but love that treat cupboard 😍 so many ideas too 🤩 Thanks for the inspiration Nikki ♥️
Hi, I was fancying trying the grenade bars and when I saw some in Heron I thought I'll get one if those to try but they were £1.40 each! I'm afraid I'll have to give them a miss but they do sound lovely though 🙂
I'm sorry people feel the need to be rude to you about fridge storage, there's friendly ways to pass on information 🙄 I hope you're not bothered by it because you're so lovely!! I love watching your videos 💖 x
+Abs * totally agree. I would never leave comments like that on someones video who's just trying to help people. No I'm not bothered at all thank you xxxx
Love your videos, Nikki!! I’d love to see a ‘My Top 5 SW Meals’ or something similar? I’m 21 and struggling to get back on track with SW and would love some easy, tasty meals that I can rotate and get myself out of this rut😩 btw your look gorg in this vid💛✨
I never knew about the meat and haven’t known anyone comment on my fridge before or have noticed my family do it. Don’t worry Nikki we live and learn ✌🏼
Hiya darl. I noticed you had Aldi light yogurts. I only like the skinny latte flavour as I dont like fruity ones. I work them out to 5 syns the pot but that seems high to me. Do you know if this is correct? Xxxxx
@@NikkiRyan it says on nhs website too store meat at bottom of fridge. It's dangerous to store it above fruit and veg as juices or condensation could drop which could carry ecoli and salmonella. www.nhs.uk/live-well/eat-well/how-to-store-food-and-leftovers/
If I buy meat from the butchers then yes I’ll keep it at the bottom, the meat I buy from the supermarket, I keep where I can fit it, they are sealed containers and very very rarely leak unless they have split open, we’ve never been ill!
Love ur videos cos i always learn new ways to be better

Should definitely keep raw meat on the
Bottom shelf of the fridge
