Hello Everyone hope you had a great weekend :) Here is your Sweet Sunday review. This kit will do all your small repairs needed around your home and garage. Make sure you watch the entire video as we have info on up can coming videos :)
Hey Mike. I have patched a hole in my tonneau cover a couple times now with this style kit. Keeps peeling away from edges! Any tips???
Nice kit.
Yes we have found that the edges will appeal if the area is not cleaned very very well with 99% rubbing alcohol the other reason it will happen is that there was not enough heat to get the edges to adhere when doing this we tend to have our focus on heating the very center and forget about the outer edges hope this helps my friend thanks Mike
@@SweetProjectCars Thanks Mike👍
CASPER 12345 if you follow this video and do the same thing it will work great on a cig burn. thanks mike
I was down in the dumps all weekend but this fixed my tears:)Thank you Bro.
This may sound crazy but on my black vinyl seat I used rustoleum rubber coating “flex seal type” and it surprisingly work really well. It took several coats.
Unbelievable DYI repair. I have Dobermans who like to party when I am not home. Thank you so much Sir.
I have been waiting for this! Got a hole in my couch while moving a month ago. My wife asked me how do we fix it? I said let me check with Sweet Project Cars on UA-cam and he will show me how to fix it. There ya go. Love your channel and your content. Thank you very much for the information you provide to your viewers on your channel.

I have a few cracks in my vinyl dash in my Benz that drive me up the wall. I literally stare at them every time I get in the car. The Florida sun is brutal on cars ! One guy gave me a 2k quote to reupholster the dash pad! Anyway, now that you've done this technique , I'm definitely going to fix mine myself. I'm beyond grateful for your vids dude, much luv from jacksonville fl !
Glad we can help in sunny and warm Jacksonville

Mighty cool work. It sure did the trick for that small tear / scratch. Good Job, Mike.
Love all the info on leather seat repair you have provided! Between the two previous videos and this one, I am dying for Spring to come so I can try it all out on my project Yukon XL.
This video is fantastic! Spot on. Great description of what you are doing. I remember the kids that used to sell on television in the '70s to fix your couch. This is a much better description and a much better kit. Thank you for making such an awesome video. Now I can repair my trans am seat that has a miniscule rip. Such as the one you repaired. Thanks very much! Subscribed!

I'm going to try to match Fiat 500e white interior, which is almost cream color. I think I'll follow the tan instructions but use a toothpick for the brown and yellow.

What was the name of the product you used? The repair came out perfect? How durable is the repair?
amazing results!!
Glad you liked it Mark! Thank you for watching and sharing, hope you have a great week my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Neat little kit! Love the little iron lol I'm just glad I don't have to do the ironing with it 😂
Sometimes it looks like magic, thanks for sharing my frriend
Looks amazing ( before and after ) like new!
I had a bad tear in my king ranch leather, and though the leather is compromised anyway it’s dry and not in great shape. I was able to use a product like this and it did a pretty fair job of repairing that terror so yeah you know if you have Material that’s in good shape. You should be able to make a nice repair. And if you have like I did material that’s in really bad shape. You can make a just fine OK repair with it and that was a year and a half ago and it’s holding strong so yeah, don’t hesitate to try it, but you have to have a little bit of artistic flare to make a beautiful repair seamlessly. If you know what I mean it’s going to take more than just backyard. Joe you’re gonna have to have a little artistry and understanding colors and matching and mixing possibly and, and just that kind of thing. I would recommend that you practice on a piece of material a time or two so that you get a feel for how it works before you try to do it for real on your vehicle.
Glad we could help! Thank you for watching and sharing, we appreciate it, hope you have a great day. mad Mike & team
Thank You!
Our pleasure Jules! Thank you for watching, have a great day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC

doesn't last as long though
Nice. I’ll try this.

I'm trying to use one of those kits on a large area, it's pretty much hell. I'll prob have to redo w silicone, bonding & spray paint
Here's a couple videos on it ua-cam.com/video/V887ccnR2UM/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/gI04exWUkKI/v-deo.html and if this doesn't work for you, you are probably going to have to buy a new seat cover my friend. Thanks again Mike.
Excellent just what i need
Nice looking repair!
As always a fine job.
Awesome!!! I just found a permatex vinyl repair kit about to go into the dumpster hopefully the colors are all good? I love the video!!! I am about to start filming some youtube videos I have a bunch items about to fix up if I don't make a profit hopefully I break even and it helps someone on youtube.
What is the brand name of the repair kit you demonstrated so nicely
Well Saul, they discontinued the one we used here, but we use this one now amzn.to/3iV1ueI and it actually works better. Thank you for watching and just a reminder, all of the products/tools we use in our videos can always be found in the ...MORE of the videos description, see here 3c5.com/4u6dj if you can't find it let us know and we will help you. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Good to see that the wife has taught you to do the ironing.......hahahaha Wow, that puppy disapeared! Amazing.
BTW the other thing a DIYer needs is a big shop with lot of storage!
Yeah she was not impressed when she came out to the shop and found it sitting on a dirty work bench LOL
Oh and I just read your part about lots of storage I am with you on that we throw nothing away because we never know we may need it and when we do throw something away we wish we wouldn’t have because then we needed it so you need a boat load of storage your exactly correct my friend
Love the video but it appears the kit is no longer available. Can you recommend a replacement? Thanks!
We are using this one now amzn.to/3iV1ueI they discontinued the one we used here, this new option is even better Jacki. Thank you for watching and asking, have a great week my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Great video and a neet little kit thanks for sharing.

Good Job thank you
Thank you very much Armando, it's our pleasure. We appreciate the view and comment, have a fantastic day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I saw your note that you don't get notifications on postings from old shows. The car wash put some bad scratches in my windshield on Saturday. I watched your video (who else would I turn to?) on using pumice and rubbing compound to remove scratches. I don't have a rotary DeWalt, only a DA polisher. I can get all the supplies you listed, but can I get it to work with my DA? It's expensive to buy a rotary just for my windshield. Keep em coming my friend. Merry Christmas.
Hello Robert have you talked to the car wash about the damage they did? They may Pay to have a new windshield installed. Also you can try your DA and see how it works for you you can rent a single action if you need to.
Another cool tip, Mike! That looks lik a repair kit worth having. Thanks for the demonstration. Would a hair dryer work as well as the heat gun?
I do have one suggestion for you, Mike. You were really getting the jitters while mixing up that paint. Seriously, my friend, you need to cut back on all the coffee you've been drinking. :-)
Ben you can try a hair dryer and see if it gets hot enough it needs to be around 200F LOL on the coffee, speeding up the process with the video editor makes it look crazy sometimes :) thanks for sharing mike
In the first part of the video using the heat gun how long ? thanks again another Oscar wining video
SuperJoes70 about 3 minutes to dry the white glue. is this what you were referring to my friend ?....mike
And now you know how to fix the old leather coat you need to sell
Great job.
Thank you! Cheers!
your awesome thanks for sharing
Nice tutorial process but you forgot to mention the name of the product or glue.
It's this amzn.to/3iV1ueI and just a reminder, all of the products/tools we use in our videos can always be found in the ...MORE of the videos description, if you can't find it let us know and we will help you. Thanks for watching. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Great video
Thanks!
thank for the video, grate info !
chad you are very welcome spc mike
I like auto detailing
Roman skill hand same here
Very thorough thank you.
Hello. How can I remove a poorly applied vinyl patch that was done using the 3M kit?
You are probably going to have to use some heat, we suggest using this amzn.to/2I8XFRh You have to be very careful and slow warming it up the just use these amzn.to/3XEE8vC to pull the patch off. Remember, slowly warm it up and remove. If you are not comfortable doing this, you need to take it to a detail shop. Hope this helps Doug, thanks for watching. mad Mike the hammer SPC
How about doing a video when you have to match colors, like grey. Would like to see how well it looks
I will see what we can do for you my friend
what about doing this near seams or on edges or corners of the seat?
Give it a shot, we've had success on all areas doing this process. You have all to gain my friend. Thanks for the view, have a great day. mad Mike
Hi Mike Wondering the name of the kit that you used on this project and where can you buy it? Thanks
We use this one now Corie amzn.to/3iV1ueI they discontinued the one we used in the making of this video, but found this one works better. Thanks for watching and asking, have a fantastic week my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC

Great videos! JULIO! HA HA!
This would definitely be good for my Torino. Her interior is a bit shabby after sitting out too long.
Would this work for the top part of the door panel in my jeep ?
Yes it will Kevin. Thanks for watching and asking, we truly appreciate it. Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
@SweetProjectCars is it possible to repair a vinyl top on an older car using one of these kits?
See these videos on that subject Dayton ua-cam.com/video/SImOhrHQFAE/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/video/u_INcb4Ra0M/v-deo.html Thanks for watching and asking, hope these help. Have a great day my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
@SweetProjectCars thank you for replying. Those videos give me some ideas. The car I am working on is a 1968 Oldsmobile Toronado with a vinyl top. Most of the damage is similar to the seat repair damage I watched in your videos. No vinyl repair guy around here will touch it. Replacement of the top, by a professional, is quoted at a minimum of $1500.00...I think trying a repair is worth the try. All the damage is centered on top in an appropriate 3 Sq foot area. I think if I vinyl repair the damaged area and dye the entire top, it will turn out OK. Worth a shot, anyway. I live in central Illinois, wish your shop was closer, lol. BTW, I really enjoy your videos.
Awesome job.
does this work on a faux leather recliner with cat scratches?
It will work good for that Chrystal. Thanks for watching. mad Mike the hammer SPC
What is the name of the kit your using to repair small rips in vinyl or leather and from what company?
Hello Josie, they discontinued the one we used in this video, we use this one now amzn.to/3iV1ueI it's the best we've found and even better than the one shown. Thanks for watching and asking, have a great week. mad Mike the hammer SPC
I did not hear the name of the kit you are using ?
We recommend and use this amzn.to/3iV1ueI they discontinued the one in the video, so we are using the one we tagged here now. Thank you for watching Ron, and just a reminder, all of the products/tools we use in our videos can always be found in the SHOW MORE of the videos description, if you can't find it let us know and we will help you. mad Mike the hammer SPC

It says that this product is out of stock. Do you have another kit you recommend?
We also use this amzn.to/3iV1ueI Thank you for watching and asking Baileigh, have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Hi Mike, thank you so much for the helpful video! I've bought the kit, and mixed the color repair compound. I'd like to use the same mix but it's too dry. How can I make it softer again? Thank you in advance!
do you mean the colors are too dry?
@@SweetProjectCars Yes, sorry I didn't make it clear :)
I mean I've already made a specific mixture of colors and I need to use that shade again but it has gotten too stiff to use it.
I just have one question; My vinyl has a slit about the same size as this one and is black, but there’s no texture it’s just smooth. How do I finish it off? Could I just dull the glue with my finger and lightly use a black sharpie to fill it in? Also on larger jobs, is that regular spray paint that they are spraying the seats with?
richard your suggested method will work great and for larger job we use this amzn.to/31CXEMs or this amzn.to/2XgiORk
This is amazing. Thank you so much. I have differrent items for repair but I dont have the clothes pieces there. Do you know where I can get them? Thank you!
any piece of cloth will work even from an old t-shirt
