  • This was our last day in Florence so we thought a day of touring the Chianti wine country of Tuscany would be a ton of fun. We were not wrong. Being out in the fresh air and riding around the countryside of Italy was a blast. There was even a fantastic lunch in a small family owned winery at the end. We had a great time on this tour. The website for this outfit is in the video at the very beginning. I hope you enjoy.

Are there any multi day self guided trips on vespas in the Tuscany region where your luggage is moved day to day to a prearranged hotel?

Kevin, Thanks for watching. To answer your question. You could start with the place we rented from in Florence (www.tuscany-vespatours.com).
If we were going to do what you're asking Darlene and I would rent a couple Vespas that are 150cc to 250cc from somewhere that rents for a week or two. The 50cc ones we had for this tour would be too small for a multi town/cross country adventure. I don't think this tour was much more than about 20 miles. We would also have our bags with us. We both have Kelty Redwing 44-liter backpacks. they would be strapped to the back of the bike. They carry a large amount of clothes/stuff. Plus, laundromats are in most of the larger towns. You will need a GPS to attach to the bike's handlebars. getting lost sucks... If you need to stop, we use VRBO or AirBnB instead of a hotel... Hope this helps... Thanks again.
