Thanks for this lovely version of this song with the unforgettable Ofra Haza. If you come to Northern NJ, you can see a large group of women and men in their 50's -60's dancing to this song as if they were young again.
@xuarxu it means flower sales-man :) for the past 30 years every school in israel has about 10 songs that we learn to dance in 6th grade - this is one of then ^^

By the way @Eli Bar-Shalom, do you know good resources for getting Israeli folk dance music? I've been trying to track down "Ya Abud" and can't find it anywhere.
@@tajbaker296 still great job, so don't be modest, you thoroughly deserve it. With regards to your request, I am not into folk dances unfortunately, although really love it, but more into our Israeli old songs heritage. Since Ya Abud is an Arabic song I believe, it would be hard to find the lyrics. But if you can send a link or something that I can listen to the song or dance, I ll try to find it 4 you. In general, try the 'Shirunet' website for all Hebrew songs lyrics. Kind Regards Eli

I recently taught the dance to a group of senior citizens in Flagstaff, AZ. It was slowed down to 85% speed so as not to kill anyone.
The first part of the song (before 0:08) is in Yemenite Arabic and the rest is in Hebrew.
butt butt thanks for pointing that out!

xuarxu The flowers salesman
"mocher prachim" literally means "flower seller"
I wish I knew what they say!
Hebrew and then English:
Bo elai mocher prachim
Bechamah zot hashoshanah
Hi tihyeh le'ahuvi
Mish'chav dodim larishonah
Zug shadeiha kvar ravim
Mistodedim livro'ach
Hanach yadcha kemash'lim
Va'azor lah lishko'ach
Ahuvi nishmat chayay
Galeh na li et beitcha
Ve'ekra kol yamai
Mitze'if hachashechah
Yafati, gali oznech
Ve'elchash lach sod bal'at
Ul'vai yivrach ahuv libech
Ve'ehyeh lach lemishlat
Bo elai mocher prachim
Kach et zo hashoshanah
Bo elai mocher prachim
Kach et zo hashoshanah
Hi bachtah le'ahuvi
Et ke'ev harishonah
Hi bachtah le'ahuvi
Et ke'ev harishonah
Come to me flower seller
How much for this rose
It will be for my beloved
Bed of lovers for the first time
Its pair of breasts are great already
Conferring in secret to run away
Place your hand as complementary
And help her forget
My beloved, the soul of my life
Reveal your home to me please
And I shall call all my days
From the veil of darkness
My beautiful, reveal your ear
And I'll softly whisper you a secret
If only the beloved of your heart would run away
And I will be your vantage point
Come to me flower seller
Take this rose
Come to me flower seller
Take this rose
It cried to my beloved
The first pain
It cried to my beloved
The first pain
@@elibar-shalom9176 one correction though
Kvar ravim not rabim.
I fixed it- but I can't take credit for the lyric transcription or translation. I just copied and pasted.
