In 1985 I was 21.....I was passing threw Kansas and I saw a rancher having trouble getting his hogs loaded on the truck. I offered to help, so he handed me a 2x4 and put me in the back of the truck with the hogs. He ran them up the ramp and had me keep them towards the front of the truck...this is where I failed a bit.....I pushed and nudged the hogs. They didn't stay in the truck. He was very kind and said "you gotta slap'em so they respect ya!" He smacked one for me, and low and behold, they behaved. We loaded about 30 hogs and he headed off to where ever he was going. Watching you bark at that pig, and watching him turn and run up ramp.....took me back 36 years, lol.
Dude, good job. Two comments. I've raised pigs. Pigs don't care about the mud. They like it. Two, they love to root and eat and make bacon. Last, what a beautiful young lady who rode with you. She's precious.
Love watching you handle the cattle, but you literally could make several more vids of just the hogs. It was funny watching them. Seeing your daughter helping you out was really awesome. We never miss an FTR episode, keep up the great content Tyler. Thanks from Nebraska. 😂🙏
Thanks for the additional video. I was able to mount a nipple drinker on a t post away from the fence. Run the hose up the truck post and over the perimeter fence. My pigs push the stock tank around like a toy.
Great video!!!! I always have a chuckle watching pigs!!! You are right about their curiosity!!! I would say by the looks of it you made those pigs very happy!!! Stay safe!!!
Pig Moving day! New Pen! Nice New Digs! These Piggies 🐷 will live in style!! Trailer! Big Piggies 🐷! I was expecting smaller Piggies 🐷!! Curious 🧐! Nice Runway! Plenty of Pig Observations! Tip-Toeing into Trailer! Smart! Follow the Leader! Piggies! You’ll enjoy the New Pen! More Room! Green Grass! LOL! Don’t Touch the Fence! Learning by Experience! Great New Pen! Good Job! Thank-you for bringing me along! Happy Piggies 🐷!
Cute little girl... raised one of those myself, and at 30 years of age she is still keeping me busy. Went on Soc Sec about a month ago... More money to spoil her with! Had fun watching you re pin the pigs. Reminds me of years ago my daddy had an idea to grow some pork with our beef, to be honest the pigs were the simplest and they fattened up quick. Will keep my eyes on your channel. Grew up on a small farm, kind of looks natural.
A bit of a chore to move them but now you're ready for the next herd of piglets. Little girl is really growing up. Hope she really loving being a big sister. Have a great weekend.
Your daughter is so adorable! She is getting so big & is talking up a storm. Hope she loves her new brother. Would love to meet him soon, as well. Cali is becoming a great farm dog. LOVE how she wanted to get into the pen with you to help you load them into the trailer.
Another cool machine to hook up to the tractor. I love the animals but all those awesome tools & machines you got on the farm are pretty fancy!! Always enjoy your videos. Say hi to Mom & baby from Wisconsin. 🦅🦉🦆🐴🦌
When you build a chute or alley for loading your pigs, you don't want them too see any day light so it needs too solid, if they can only see ahead as a way of escape that's the way they go
Good evening to Farmer Tyler Ranch and all others too. Great contents on your channel and you have an enjoyable channel. Happy Early Merry Christmas to everybody and the animals too. God Bless You All
Them pigs curiosity and desire to follow you helped the process of loading. Which with some coaxing got them in. The new pen will also benefit cause they will till and add their manure. Though they tend to dedicate and urinate in a certain area, you could always till the area after. Then you can have another garden after the get dispatched. Win, win all around 🤗🤗🤗.
@@MillaRaeDeshibeau I would love to know more about you and share more about myself with you ,if you don't mind because you seen nice ,lovely and comfortable. talking to . I hope you're having a good day
I messaged Diesel Creek to check out your channel cause I think I saw an 8N in one of his video’s. He restores all kinds of old iron. Most stuff to do with keeping pigs is so easy…till you have to move them!
Happy pigs, happy life…oh, that’s not quite how that saying goes😝. The part where you are undoing the gate was so different from when you first got the pigs and you couldn’t get within 10 feet of them. Cali says it was her bark that sent them into the trailer. Always great to see Maci out helping Daddy, doesn’t matter what he is doing. Pigs are looking good and I am sure you will be happier looking at them. Really enjoyed the camera looking down on them during their move. Great video Tyler. Hope everyone is getting enough rest.
You had a wonderful moment. Lol. After trying the soft approach to getting the pigs in the trailer, took the hard way. "Just get in there!!" Pigs just don't cooperate. Made me laugh
When we had hogs, we had the same problem with watering, before we added nipples to the faucets. We actually had to cover most of the open area of the tank, with a piece of plywood & nailed to the wooden tank. Good luck with the hogs!
Good to see your daughter involved Tyler. Most kids now are completely out of touch with life, tied up with their tech toys and usually not interested in anything outside. Thanks for sharing another slice of your farm life.
Thanks for sharing this video. They look like happy pigs!. You may want to check out Living Traditions Homestead. They have a really neat wood trough with a platform so they can feed the pigs from outside the fence. It stays pretty clean. I think you will be surprised at how much grass they eat. Do you still have chickens? I have been watching w for a couple years. Thanks again. Your daughter is getting so big!
Definitely five star accommodations now..lol Good to see you have some help out there. She sure is growing. I think you have more patience's then me...I would have used the tough love a bit earlier. HAHA.
Tyler when you showed their new pen i found a issue look at fixing the gap under their enclosure pigs being pigs they will dig i thinks its funny as when they get zapped they will test the whole boundary before they figure it out you only got six pigs mate try having nearly 30 lol
Nice job…that went better than I thought it would! The pigs seemed to be enjoying their new home too (especially once the learned to avoid that electrical fence you created)! Your daughter did a great job supervising for her Dad! How does she feel about being a big sister to her new baby brother? Hope all is going well for the family.🥰
I always used a 6' crowding gate. You could hook the end of it into the hog panel and just swing it around.WOrked good on hogs, sows, and boars, A 3 pt hitch hog carrier works awesome too! Used it on thousands of hogs
I love the new fenced in area for the pigs but what happened to your petting zoo with the 1 donkey and Buddy? Also little Maci is adorable 🥰. She looks so much like her mama. Great extra video!
YAY!!!! A bonus video!!! Hahaha!! That is the Cutest thumbnail!!!😂😂🐖🐷🥰 Maci's singing is the sweetest thing ever!! Give her a high 5 for me!! 🥰 and look at Cali sitting beside you guys all proud!! I was real curious to see how well loading the pigs was going to be. I wish I'd had a camera rolling when we loadedh our 3 going to processor. Course, They weighted 330#,lol. Built a small lane like, But, moment they saw that fresh grass & dirt, they wouldnt pay any attention to feed in trailer, Games were on. Took me, daughter & SIL and teen grandson to get them in. Definetly would have made a good YT video on what NOT to do. Precious seeing your daughter & pup riding with you. A footnote: pays to have a Hog board( solid ,handy, light panel) they can't see through, when moving pigs,
But, but, but, pigs love mud!!! 😂. Just kidding, much better to keep them dryer! That new pen is very nice. My neighbor has 2 pigs. They come over here and dig, I don't mind, they are better than a Roto-tiller. Where are the donkeys?
We thoroughly enjoyed this video, and this grandma always likes seeing the littles :-) Our youngest granddaughter is 16 now, and grandpa and I have started her on trap out at Coon Creek. It's something we still do, and I treasure spending this time with her because they're grown and out in the world all too soon. Are you still looking into selling beef/pork/chicken on-site? We'd love to get some locally grown meat. Have a great day, Tyler, and I hope you and your lovely family have a great Christmas!
The goats have been gone for awhile now and 1 of the donkeys. But I guess I missed the episode where the last donkey left the petting zoo as did Buddy the bottle calf.
I love how your dog is learning to help heard or at least she thinks she is helping

Pigs are harder than cattle to move! Little buggars! The shade is great for them too!
We learn new things from you every time we watch it seems. Thanks.
I like it you don't have commercials all through and through. Tku
Tyler, you are proving that farm animals can be pretty damn smart. Takes ingenuity and creativity to protect and provide for them.

One way to drive a pig is to cover its eyes with a bucket or a sack. This causes them to walk backwards until their eyes are uncovered.
