The exhaust gets professionally installed tomorrow. Best Mufflers of Carlton are doing it - they're great to deal with. I can video the final result and upload it at some stage, but I have to leave the car there for the day and so can't show a progress video of the work. The 4WD lever is at an odd angle but it seems to work.
It was more $ than I expected, but the job is excellent. I would not be able to do it. As these early Brumbys are rare, I think they might be worth a bit of money (it's all relative). That is to say we haven't overcapitalised ... we'll still get all our money back and more if we had to sell. If it's rare, valuable or a long-term keeper, I'd say spend the money. I like ORIGINAL cars, not ones that have been played around with or modified, so an original looking and sounding exhaust system is more important to me than it may be for others. Just my thoughts. Is yours an early Brumby as well?
@@DPOSFS Mine's almost completely original... down to the rising sun brumby stickers. It's a 1981 First gen with 85,000 km. It needs new CV joints but otherwise for $1200 dollars you can't go wrong.

Waiting for video of New Exhaust installation. Also, is the 4wd hi/lo working because the gear stick position is not looking upright?

@@DPOSFS aye only got it a few weeks ago, although it's my second brumby. On the day I bought it someone offered to buy it straight away.
