I want to support your Alpaca products. I believe in small business and I seek out and look for small business to buy from because it is better for America. I pray other people will get on that level.
We are a PNW alpaca farm, 2nd cut Orchard just cost us $27/bale, in 2018, it was $17/bale, which was cheap compared to Southern California alpaca farms that were paying $30/bale at that time! Crazy hay prices.
Ouch that is a tough decision. I would want some of YOUR alpaca's products because I watch your channel and see the girls and how pretty they are. But I could understand if you went with the "conglomerate".
Or you can invest and buy out the mill or their equipment and start your own fiber mill, lol. I'm renovating my 16 acres this winter in upstate NY. Are you looking to sell a few 3-5 backyard fiber pet alpacas? Love your channel, I've been following for a while- when you first built your alpaca barn at the old place!
Ouch regarding the hey. It’s hard to get ahead when you’re always working on the previous year. It’s so much involved with the product. $27 ouch that don’t allow much growth at $35. $12 is a big difference and so sad that it undercuts the little guy. I think that requires a lot off thought. I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes. I hope you guys can come to a decision that you’re comfortable with.

2nd cut is $6/bale here..which is crazy, used to be $3 a few years ago.
things doubling in cost seems to be the new normal unfortunately!
So much to think about.

Omg that's absolutely bananas ! Idk how anyone could afford those prices.
@@OldReddingFarm it's sucking us dry! 18 month wait for product from the mill doesn't help either 😕
