- Do you remeber one of my first videos "Tomi P Vocal range"? That quality was so bad and the video was uninteresting because of repeating clips. So I decided to do this video again and better. I hope you will like it guys!
I also want to thanks Tomi P for live reaction and his viewers for so sweet words of this video.

Thank you again my man!
I also thank you! I am so glad that you are happy for this video! Hope all mistakes were fixed :D
How in gods name can u have such a large range for someone that’s pretty much just hitting adult years, Jesus 😂
Just wanted to say, Your flip down to Eb1 in your fishing in the dark cover is one of the most amazing subharmonic notes I've ever heard.
Tomi do u make that inhale notes or this r normal chest but very low notes.
Also as well since none of this stuff is wrong to u of how u can actually do inhaling notes are u able to show us in a video on how u do inhale bass singing
it's kind of ironic how he started making vocal range videos and now people make videos of his vocal range!
He deserve vocal range video on himself for his hard work! :)
3:31 he’s impressed with himself
Since so much is done is audio processing, I'd be very interested to see what these singers sound like without any microphones and audio engineering involved. The only raw videos I've seen of one of the basses in the compilation videos hitting actual notes in chest voice is of Avi, who is a true bass, of course. It would probably take a lot of work on your end to find the clips, but it'd be very cool to see how these guys ACTUALLY sound. Keep up the great work!
Tim, Geoff and Avi have a lot of live performances where they sing low notes. But yes, I see where you're coming from. It's indeed quite rare to hear them singing without having a lot of other noise going on aswell or it being overly processed, i'm curious to hear what it sounds like unaltered and without other sounds obscuring their singing
@@sum41foreverown Oh yeah, there's plenty of them singing live but hardly any of it is raw/without microphones. And just from personal experience, I know that almost any low sound in a microphone can sound super impressive with a lot of amplification. Like you hear Tim do those crazy low growls in a microphone and the bass almost blows the speakers since that's what the speakers are set for to make the performance exciting, but those growls would very quiet without amplification
Check out oktavists. Better than all 3 basses combined without mic too
@@pxlbass2709 I'm well-aware of octavists -- that's why I want to hear these guys without mics. I think it's important people know the difference between octavists and guys like this who only sing that low with extended techniques and audio enhancement.
@@PeterBarber true. I fee tim foust cant produce a resonant Eb2 without mic as it sorta sounds like a whisper. And for geoff i dont think anything under C2 without mic. And avi anything under B1. What do you think?
6 octave range. What a beast.
Not 6 octaves, as the top is whistle and bottom is fry. Still impressive though
@@maxwelledison9954I don't know in which world you're living but in this one whistle is part of vocal range.
@maxwelledison9954 he has hit a C#0 ingressive and a F6 flageolet his range is more than 6
He’s so young too, his voice is sure to get even deeper
Does the voice keep changing after age 21?
@@JerillAnders yes, your voice will get deeper as you age till the end of your life
@@pulkit458 Excellent.
@@JerillAnders yes, don't worry. Be Happy my dude
@@JerillAnders yes but inhale lows will not get that lower. If he trains to normally exhaling low singing then yes it will go lower with age.
*Emotional and serious Bb0*
Next clip: waaaaaaaaaaaaaa
He hit G0 inhale on his live stream that got taken down
damn that means he has a 6 octave range holy crap
Wait in another video it said it was a G -2 that would mean he has an 8 octave range?
@@phewiss3066 G-2 doesn’t really count imo
@@marcelloberry6829 so does that mean tim storms G -7 doesn't count? And y does it not count?
@@phewiss3066 there’s no recording of that
AMAZING VIDEO BUT CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT HOW INSANE THIS MAN IS AT EVERTHING HE DOES?! My jaw drops every time he shows his control, the low inhale and the whistle is just f*cking insane bro
Amazing work bro. Thank you for spending so much time on this. It was really worth it amazing.
Live the lowest he seems to hit is an A1 growl. Still far beyond what I can do, but Tim Foust has a full octave below that LIVE. However, I love Tomi's upper register. Although I don't (and nor do most vocal coaches) count whistle notes. Yes, people can make them and you CAN incorporate them into a song but from the words of a vocal coach, the actual act of doing it is "Not impressive and cheating to hit the note"
His range is just out of this world
Tomi is such an impressive and underrated singer
7:53 - That didn't sound like a healthy vocal distortion if you ask me..
Nobody did
He’s come along way from then
Bruh thats nothing if you wanna here some real distortion pook up james hetfield
I’m a Tomi P fan. Follow him on Shot-C & now on The Bass Gang. He’s the most underrated bass singer.
I'd say his usable/countable range is about Bb1/B1-F4/F#4-A5/Bb5
@@thebreadman5949 hits chest range is above average but his overall range is pretty good, yes
About 4 octaves
9:59 and with closed mouth
As always, very good video man!Keep up the good work.
Nice video. Great editing👍
Bass-baritone here
Love to see it!
that 5 flat 5 is pretty insane.
Krásný zpěv a brilantní Bass👍👍👍👍👍
It's funny how when he sings on live streams he barely hits chest C2's.
4:03 did you also fell that the video has ended without high notes?
What software do you use to edit your videos with? Great video :)
Thanks! I use Filmora 9 :)
Tomi P's range 🤝Dimash Kudaibergen's range
bro is every vocal range
Awsome video. What program do you use?
Filmora 9 :)
Jsi úžasný zpěvák 👍rád bych dělal vokály😁
Jo, Tomi je prostě borec!
Holy cow I never realized how short the girl from shot c is
He is a bass baritone, isn't he?
I can reach C#6 if i go MMMMMMM but if i inhale the highest i reached was like G7 or something. My lowest chest note is C#2 and maybe sometimes C2, and well, i don't know what notes i do when growling or doing subharmonics really.
my range is C1 - F#1 - D5 - Eb6
7:52 My favorite😆
now he has a G-2
Nice work.... Keep it up
Jesus that C1 was badass
Very serious notes are for the powerful. Voice treated and equalized, even my niece sings an A0. In today's songs, that's all. I've been a musician for 25 years and I know what that is.
Damn, that's impressive
Tomi has a F#1 chest on the discord
Wait. When?
TheHunkyWhale scroll time the top of roast my bass
F#1 Was lit
It's funny how basses like geoff can get down to E1 and SLIGHTLY Below, with just their chest notes, the vocal fry is useless unless you can do the subharmonic register, the growl is easy but super cool Ngl though, but god damn your inhale notes are impressive
Geoff can't go to anything below G1 with his chest. He said himself that his usual range starts from A1/Bb1.
This man is very talented and can definitely sing with the best of them BUT MUST NEVER EVER SING CRACKED BY PENTATONIX EVER AGAIN!!!!! It was the worst sound I had ever heard. 7:50
Agreed
I am so sorry! I forgot to cut it out.
Wasn't really that bad it was an interesting creative choice and probably necessary given his chest range limits.
I dissagre I think it's nice
true but you couldn't do any better if your life was on the line
Avi Kaplan, Geoff, and Tomi should make a band name: Drop The Bass
My range is like D0-A7 but im missing half a octave (F#5-C6) inbetween falsetto and whistle so i js say my range is D0-F5 lol
May I request a Kevin Olusola range video?
G4 in chest lol. I don't can it:( bb5 in falsetto? It is impossible for me lol amazing high range
Even he’s sustained the G4 Note, Me too i can’t do that, but i wish i can do it cuz he had lower voice than me and i believe i can do that, anyone have the same problem too?
I love 4:25
Hi, bro. I'm brazilian. I'm 20 y old. My lowest chest voice is D#2. But, in the morning is B1/C2. Frying I can hit C#1 (maybe lower, but my app don't show this). My tessiture is D#2-D4. With falsetto is E4-E5.
I'm a bass or baritone? My voice will be more dark and lower (F1, A1 in chest voice) when I have 30/35 years old?
(Sorry, my english is basic.)
You are closer to a bass than a baritone but you are what we call bass - baritone
And you might get A1 in your mid 30s
@@Marcell0Bass, ok. Thank you.
Range doesn't really determine your classification, what matters most is the color and timbre of the voice.
I never heard of D#2, it that hard to hit.
@@Marcell0Bass I know it’s been a long time since you posted this but since you seem to know your stuff I have a question. What would my vocal type be if I can go down to A1 pretty comfortably and on good days sometimes a G1. I can go up to A4 before I start to need to use mixed voice and from there I can go up to C6 (E6 if I’m having a good day). My sweet spot vocally where I have the least difficulty singing would be probably F2-G4
G#6... Bassitenor?)
Range dosent mean anything. Only timbre and tone counts
Bassoprano🤣🤣
He's a baritone.
bass-baritone
Let’s just say he is SATB (or the whole freaking choir) 😂
I'd say his usable range is probably B1-F4. Not bad.
I'd say his usable range is probably B1-F4. Not bad.
How do you tell what notes these are? Do you have a software for it?
I use my hearing, I have a perfect pitch.
@@badamb401 That's super cool! I always wished I had perfect pitch.
Wait inhale notes count as part of someone’s range?!!!
Yes unless you're a core band or metal band then inhale growls/screams are frowned upon 🤣
0:31 : can anyone tell me why is it written like tenor, baritone, bass??
Thank you......
May God save all the people from corona.........
It's the range he's singing in
They are different ranges to indicate which of the boxes represents which part. From low to high, it goes something like this...
Bass, Baritone, Tenor, then there's Alto, and Soprano, with different kinds of each of those
But have you seen the amount of e-liquid in his house? It's concerning
Can you pls do geoff castellucci vs tim foust vs Matt sallee
No adam chance vs J None vs Matt salee
If you mean like Bariton Battle, I can do it! But it will take more time.
Matt is not good
@@elevate8212 Strong statement there. No, Matt can't strictly hit as low notes as other A Cappella basses, but he is a lot younger, and all voices changes, whether slowly or quickly. Think about it, Tim Foust said he was a tenor in high school, and Geoff Castelucci was a soprano with Layne (Voiceplay). Plus, "According to The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, a bass is typically classified as having a vocal range extending from around the second E below middle C to the E above middle C (i.e., E2-E4)" and Matt's is from F#1 to like F5. He's also hilarious! What's not to like?
@@elevate8212 Also, talking strictly about chest voice, the lowest solid note from Tim Foust was like an F#1, As is Avi's and also Geoff's. The fact that Matt's is only a step and a half above that is good, considering (at this time) Tim turned 39 a few days ago, Geoff turns 40 in a month, and Avi's 31 and Matt's only 26, which shows he has time
my range is c1-c#7 😎
2:52 9:32
Wait i thought G#1 was his lowest chest
Yes it is! I forgot on that video...
@@badamb401 he did E1 chest, but video was deleted :)
SmileyOG I have the video
@@gidster192 nice
lol
The proper term for inhale notes is Subharmonic Notes
No. Inhale and Subharmonics are created completely separately and have different qualities.
I think all the chest-fry notes in this video are subharmonic
They are chest fry"s. Tomi comfirmed it to me.
Oh, so did you like ask him about every note before you made this video?
Well I just informated him that I am working on his vocal range video and he wrote me if I can sent him that video when it will be finish to see it as first. But that was exporting so long from my program so I sent him it 2 minutes before his live stream so he played it on live stream with many more viewers and it was so amazing for me! I didn"t expect it and I am so happy for that. Well all notes in the video I listened and named by myself and Tomi just told me on the live stream about mistakes which were there. So If you will compare version of video on live stream and what I published on my channel, you can find some differences there. :)
BadamB B that’s great man! Idk if I have the time to sit through a live stream though 😂
4:40 :)
Bro everything lower that his E2 is fray not chest
What’s his voice type?
Bass
@Benjamin Lee Lewis Washington True. He is far from being a true bass.
He's like a low baritone
Pretty small range but good depths!
range doesn’t mean anything when his voice doesn’t sound that great
True tho
Jealous
i like his voice. Its mostly an accent thing and he has much improved.
His voice sounds SOOO ROBOTIC... autotune should be used to perfect a good, clear tone made by a voice.... not a tool to make everyone think that they can sing without studying and working hard on their voices and ears.
Bass-baritone or baritone with low notes. Nothing more. He is irrelevant under E2.
