A couple of minor corrections/explanations in the video: - A typo at 11:04. The video shows "-1 out of formation" which should read "-2 out of formation/gunner hit". Regardless, the one hit that registered was accurate. - At 13:21, there was a +1 medium range modifier (not indicated) in the B-17's return fire. All FIVE hits, and misses, were accurately recorded. - At 14:22, the B-17 drew "3 hits" on the defensive fire. A +2 modifier is normally added to the B-17's shot due to the close range (which would have made FIVE hits), but ONE B-17 gunner was knocked out resulting in only FOUR hits. The FOUR hits were accurately recorded in the video.
Good question. If I remember the rules correctly, they're not in front of me at the moment, historically the mg-131s almost never jammed. It was usually the cannons.
@@pdex2165 I'm only 2 weeks in learning this game myself. Page 11, "Weapons may jam...... if firing more than one, determine which one randomly. If you have a MG FF weapon and it is the one that jammed, treat the jam as "no effect."

Well done. I really enjoy your videos. A couple of things that may be worth mentioning: when you fire, and hit, a B-17 formation with rockets, all planes in that formation are "out of formation". So when you went up against the second bomber, you were a bit too hard on yourself. Luckily it didn't matter much. (7.1.14) Also, the wingman's fire is modified by range, so he adds one hit at close range for example. Again, it didn't matter in this case. (7.2.3.1) I'll also add that since you changed aircraft type, then discussed switching unit, you should perhaps have considered doing it at the same time since that could save you 2 prestige points depending on which unit you reassigned to (4.6.1)
Just to be sure about this. 4.6.3. You don't count a sortie (because you are not flying), but the raids are still taking place so that could mean you move into a next month because you, for instance, keep rolling for French targets in April 43 when you are based in Bremen. I think he marked his log correctly.

After reading rule 4.6.1 again, I'm face-palming myself for not going ahead and transferring to another base. I could have gotten a "free" fighter upgrade! I'll try to be a little more careful in the future. Thanks again for the updates and taking the time to post them. It's things like this that help make my videos better. :)

Q: when your guns jammed against the second bomber, shouldn't you have determined randomly if it was the 20mm cannon or the MG 131 ?
