Two types of passive crossing loop

  • Here we see how some of the crossing loops on the tramway work. In the first one, the points are completely passive, they are pushed over and stay in position for the next movement. For the second one, the points are weighted so they spring back. Neither type needs any manual operation to be set up for the next cross.
