At the beginning when I would get to Addy’s POV I would kind of sigh because I liked the other ones so much better but by the end (or really the middle) I began to love her and her sister so much
Ashlyn McClellan I was the exact same the second half of the book Addy’s POV had the most exciting moments especially the final confrontation in Janae’s house:

Not going to lie I came out as an Addy fan at the end, thoroughly enjoyed her character development all the way throughout the book =]

I read both and LOVED THEM
One thing I don't get (get ready for some reading and spoilers)
I don't get if Cooper was cheating on Keely with Kris or if he just had a crush on Kris whilst dating Keely.
At first I thought that he just moved on with Kris after Keely which makes sense.
After reading the book a second time, it makes a lot more sense why Addy felt safe around him like a brother instead if a rival love interest to Jake, and we later find out that Jake knew Cooper's secret all along but was just keeping quiet.
Also the original 'About That' entry for Cooper was swapped out by Jake (spoilers) because he didn't want Simon to murder his social life.
So my question is, obviously if Simon had hinted that Cooper and Kris were dating behind Keely's back. Were they actually?
Obviously Keely found out eventually, but did she have any idea before hand?
Did Kris realise Cooper had a girlfriend?
Did Cooper understand what he was doing or did it just *happen*?
I really want to know more because I feel like it wasn't explained as well as I had hoped in the actual book.

Oh and also I didn't like Nate's character, I mean I know he's been through a lot. I just think he's an insincere dickwad who didn't contribute to the actual investigation, I mean even the supporting cast did more to help in my opinion. (Ashton, Janae, Eli, Maeve, Kris, Luis... Basically everyone who was introduced... Except Vanessa...)

Ceramic Plate I agree with you about Kris and Cooper because it's never really addressed if Cooper was consciously cheating on Keely even though I think it was implied that he was.
I think Cooper was dating Kris at the same time as dating Keely as his relationship with Kris seemed pretty serious - like it had been going on for a while.
I also think that Keely didn't know before hand that Cooper was cheating on her with a guy. I think she knew Cooper wasn't that into her and possibly thought that another girl was involved but wasn't sure.
Cooper was most likely consciously cheating on Keely with Kris as him and Kris had spoken as well as kissed multiple times. However I feel as if Cooper almost didn't classify it as cheating in his mind and didn't really think of the consequences.
I believe that Kris probably knew that Cooper had a girlfriend that he wasn't that into as Kris new that Cooper was desperately trying to keep their relationship secret.
But what I wonder is why did Cooper ask Keely out in the first place if he had an idea that he was gay and didn't really like her?
@@emilywhitelaw4012 it's just that the book paints cheating as such a big thing (which it is) and that cheaters should be punished (which they should) but it's never addressed here and Cooper is never reprimanded for his actions. Being gay doesn't make him exempt from the same criticism the other characters face.

I LOVED THIS BOOK SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!! PLSSSSSS MAKE A MOVIE OR TV SERIESSSSS. I kinda wanted one of the bayview to kill Simon.. I was a bit disappointed when I found out who did it. I can’t wait for the sequel next year! I have bought two can keep a secret and I’m just about to read it

there's nothing too inappropiate in the book. i would say its YA. i personally would recommend it to 12+
I don't understand why everybody likes this book. I thought from the very beginning that Simon committed suicide and framed others, and all along I was annoyed that nobody considered any other possibilities such as this one. All they did was go thought the same thing with the 4 of them and their secrets over and over again, giving us such a lag and no developments.Everyone including the police are so dumb.
Unpopular opinion:
I don't like Bronwyn. How can she be someones favourite when there's Addy who had like the greatest character development and Cooper who is just great?

I kind of agree with you. I have nothing against Bronwyn as a person, but I found her character kinda boring. Addy, Cooper and Nate were all SO exciting to read and i just love them.
