Commando and Rambo. Two military GOATs of 80s
No, rambo was the best.
@@Lalamove9850how is he better than Commando
@@luyolomenziwa2112 rambo is more realistic😅
5:17 😮
don't forget Chuck Norris characters Col. James Braddock, Matt Hunter and Col. McCoy
This was that sweet spot Arnold created where everything was a bit over the top and silly and borderline parodying itself but still extremely badass because it was Arnold doing it, and he actually looked like he could run through a brick wall. Golden age of action.
well said, arnold in his element, great cinema action
hell yeah - all these 80s action movies were great - rambo, delta force, etc
All the bad guys slights must have been off.
@@Halauris their sights were good and they were hitting him, their bullets just weren't doing anything to his metal skeleton
You're right, if you stuck Charlie Sheen as Topper Harley into this you wouldn't have to change anything else about the scene but the genre would be completely different.
Arnold unlocked the infinite ammo ability.
and aim bot
I wonder if anyone has actually taken the time to count the total number of rounds that he fired with one weapon and throughout the battle!
And invincibility
Terminator mode.
As if reload scenes were most important
Arnold should've won the Oscar for this scene alone. My boy got robbed!
@FagberDeschain Is that a joke?
Oscar is now a joke sadly. Arnold doesn't need an Oscar to prove him the best actor, Arnold is already a legend
@@deensaid7762 Arnold has become a joke too, unfortunately. His career is over at this point.
@@2H2521dude still makes more money than any of us can dream of.
Your boy "got robbed"!? Dare I ask what that means!?
I love how Arny's shotgun sounds like a damned howitzer going off LOL!
This was unfair. Those guys had no idea it was The Terminator attacking 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
GOOD ONE!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also Dutch in his early years prior of encountering the first Predator 😅😅
.....the next time he'll BE BACK and they'll know it's the Terminator😅😅😅
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The henchmen in this movie make Stormtroopers look like expert marksmen. 😂
Even with all the modern technologies and CGI this is still one of the best action scenes in history of cinema.
No doubt ❤
CGI ruined action movies.
@@Kruentubecause nobody wants to risk an actor's life for something called "action movies", insurance is expensive nowadays you know? 😅😅
@@deensaid7762The action was a lot better. I remember in George of the Jungle the stuntman actually vine swings into real trees and got hurt doing it.
The whole point of an action movie is to see real stunts and real actual set pieces get destroyed and marvel at it, not stupid cgi crap you know was made on a computer in a freakin stupid ass studio
I love the never ending M-60 belt. It just keeps going and going and going.
It just seems to grow ever longer
The AKM in the beginning might be more ridiculous
I don't know what bout that M16? Early models only had 16 round magazines, slightly later had 21!
It looks better if it's not realistic. If people wanna see realism, they should watch Mars Attacks instead.
😂😂
0:15 I love how he can stand in one spot and kill every moving thing but the 30 bad guys can’t hit someone sitting still, good lord! 😂😂😂
Third world soldiers can't hit anything!😂

"Commando" is really a masterpiece.
No thinking, it´s only entertaining.
Finally. Someone who sees what I see
It’s a masterpiece of what it’s trying to do. It’s completely unpretentious entertainment and it excels at being just that.
Makes it an all time great for me. I love thought provoking artistic cinema as much as the next guy, but sometimes I just need dumb and silly (but above all well constructed and executed) action to get my kicks. This film is exactly that. Perfection!
It's so ridiculous it's entertaining. Throw in some one liners and you have an action star.
The realistic physics of the grenade explosions throwing men into the air is incredible.
u can literally see the trampoline that makes the men fly in the air lolol
@@b0zay*You !!!
Yes sir those are nuclear grenades
Arnold used some cheat codes to lower gravity value.
Especially the guy who jumps before the grenade even explodes :-))
I can see why Stallone hated him. This was obviously Annie's answer to rambo 2. Same year and even uses the m60 just like Rambo. That rivalry gave us some of the best action flicks of the 80s and 90s, though so you can't complain.
Playing Doom with cheat codes be like...
More like Duke Nukem 3D.
😅😆😂😁🤣👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Iddad. Idfq
I know Arnold handling that M60 was badass, but I love it when he fires an M16, on full auto, one handed 5:35
💪
Of course. He's John Matrix 👍🙂
0:31 This film is so frivolous that no one even tried to hide the springboards that threw the guys up when the grenade exploded.
لقد رأيت المنصة 😁😁😁✌👍👍👍👍
To be honest, it's quite hard to spot it. I only noticed because I was wondering how those bad guys were able to jump that high. If I didn't replay that part, I would remain oblivious.
😂😂😂
WOW! I've seen this movie like 100 times and I had never noticed that!! It's hilarious!! Thanks for pointing it out.
Because you’re so focused on the explosion and the fact that the camera quickly tilts up along with the quick cut, it’s easy to miss on a first time viewing. I think the very static dummies outside the barracks when they explode are _much_ more egregious 🤣
One of the funniest films ever made.
Lmao 😂😂
Film? I thought this was a documentary
You want funny? Go watch films like The Evil Dead or Sharknado 🤣🤣🤣
The immutable law of the genre: as soon as the main superhero is bare to the waist, he immediately becomes bulletproof.
He went full Contra mode.
AKA plot armour
and the 100 people shooting at him suddenly can't hit anything
Pozdrawiam Serdecznie Z POLSKI 🇵🇱
Before John Wick. We had John Matrix
Except John Matrix takes down his goons with big guns, and John Wick takes down his goons with F**KING ✏️✏️
You know what I love about this movie, especially at 2:20. These poor souls are just hired sentries. Some of them meet fates worse than the actual guys that kidnapped his daughter. I mean, one guy gets scalped by a saw blade and another takes an ax to the groin. All this when they are just following orders and making a few bucks. Best movie ever.
One guy even loses an arm. Even if he survives, he will never be the same.
The saw blade deaths were on a whole other level! BADASS and Clever Stuff. Matrix was highly resourceful turning to the garden equipment.
The Central American scruffy unshaven soldiers are paid a few bucks, and all the rice and beans and pupusas they can eat.
@@babymammoth34 Yeah... he had maybe 30 seconds to decide what to do...before they ambushed the shed.
How can you not LOVE Arnold! Such a badass! I like how he single-handedly took out the entire battalion! Not even Rambo was on that scale.
Do not compare them rambo is more realistic than arnold the goat😂
Commando is far better
One of the best films of all time
I love how the grenade thrown at him gives him extra 10 seconds window of escape whereas the one he throws at them explodes on impact!😂😂

I remember watching this movie with my dad, we couldn't contain our laughter at the outrageously silly action Good Times 😂
Yup! The way those soldiers reacted to being shot up was Ultra Silly. Same with me and my Dad and uncle and cousin. Our sides hurt from laughing so much.
Comparing this movie to Rambo?
@@duncanmcknight4622 Rambo is a lot more serious and well paste than this laughing stock 😆
@babymammoth34 I remember watching this one as a family, My brother laughed so hard that he Squirted soda through his nose and my sister fell out of her chair and hit her head on the wall 😆

Man 12 gauge sends people back 20 feet in the air. Gotta love the 80’s cinema. When I was a kid I thought that was all cool. Now as an middle 40’s guy I laugh. 😅
I used to rewind that part as a kid all the time lol.
Never forget the most important rule of being an 80's action movie disposable henchman: shoot to miss!
Here's the kick. They were shooting blanks, but were too dumb to realize it! Thus, the 80s
Gotta protect the main character, or the movie's end 😅😅😅

Commando and Rambo are basically the inspiration for the game *Contra* on the NES.
The two main characters (player 1 and player 2) are John Rambo and John Matrix.
Of course, the NES couldn't call them that, but the likeness is definitely there.
Blue one was Bill Rizer Inspiration of Arnold
Red one was Lance Bean Inspiration of Sylvester
The era when masculinity was still respected and celebrated.
And still is no matter what woke losers say.

Lotta widows created that fine afternoon
Great live action comic book, starring Arnold and the amazing endless ammo belt, co-starring the can't hit the side of a barn bad guys. Lots of fun. 😁
0:57-1:10 I love how he switched between 3 different weapons in the span of 13 seconds.😄
I watched it in 1986 in China, when cassette was smuggled into there and only played underground. The title is "The last fight"😂
What did people in China think of the movie at the time?
Peak entertainment in the 80s and 90s, bruh. This guy on your team means the baddies are toast, every time.
When you play shooter games on the easiest mode.
Relatable 😅😅
Love how the henchmen all look literally the same like NPCs in a video game.

This scene needs some one-liners.
“RAKE it in.”
“Just a little off the top.”
“I SAW you coming.”
“I must AXE you something.”
“Now you are DISARMED.”

This film was awesome and one's of best action movies in the 80's . It was crazy and most explosive ending in this film😊🎉
Arnold films were class.
Running Man, Total Recall, Terminator and Predator are still classics (last two are action movie Mount Rushmore).
God Mode on + unlimited ammo on

I'd hate to be the home insurance agent who has to come out the next day and add up all the damage.
unlimited ammo and god mode was free in the 80s. now you gotta pay a subscription fee for it.
How many bullets does your MG have in each mag Mr. Matrix?
Matrix: Yes

I'll never forget watching this movie as a kid - not only did I end up believing that magazines held waaaaay more rounds of ammo than they actually do, but I also learned the difference between what a bullet from a rifle will do to a person vs a shotgun blast. So glad my parents let me watch any action movie I wanted while I was growing up. 😁
This action sequence doesn't make any sense and we love it!
Arnold movies are the best of cinema 🎥 he deserves several OSCARS.🏅🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
We need him at the US Mexico border doing this.

My testosterone skyrocketed watching this scene

Welcome to the 80s where we don't care about the logic, we just sit down and watch the movie 😅😅

Arnold should have played more action movies like this. Apart from Commando and Raw Deal, most of his films were all sci-fi. Van Damme and Seagal starred in more raw and "realistic," action movies.
Respect for Bennet's chainmail vest and Freddie Mercury wardrobe inspiration.
I absolutely love this movie, but Arnold’s plot armor and insane
There is a little known post-credits sequence that deals with John Matrix's ongoing tinnitus issues. Worth a watch.
What?
Arnold saved from thousands of rounds by taking cover behind a flower bed and potted plants.
0:44 That moment when grenades sound like German Nebelwerfers.
Kinda funny how there's 200 soldiers packing automatic rifles and yet not a single one of them manage to even graze Arnold.
The magical everlasting ammo belt -- see 3:15 through about 3:45. Amazing.
I came here to ocmment the same. Also the fact he had shotgun shells and grenades still on his vest but he prefered to use garden tools. 😂
@@OursK85 lol
Ah, yes. The good old 80s. When the bad guys didn't bother to take cover and got slaughtered by the dozen while the good guy didn't have to change out mags.
They must have shipped the bad guys in from a Galaxy Far Far Away!! LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The good old 80's. When action movies could be comedies at the same time. Sometimes action movies could be horror movies at the same time.
The bad guys all understand that the best way to approach an enemy is to run straight towards him in the plain open. That's what they were taught in basic training. Not only that. After seeing dozens of their buddies getting mowed down they also realize that this tactic obviously works the best so they all repeat it.
There will never be a better example of a movie where the bad guys always miss, and the good guy manages to shoot them all.
Plot twist: Arnie actually invaded an airsoft club, and the guys were rushing towards him to capture the flag.
That first minute. Best sounding machine gun ever haha. That's the number one thing I always remember about this movie. It sounds like a damn helicopter.
You can clearly tell Arnie is still keeping that terminator posture during a shootout , its only one year after his role of t800 after all
shotgun is powerful straight firing canon balls

I like the fact that none of them are even aiming - add the fact all the gunshot sound effects are the same that were also used in Big Trouble and Little China, including the bullet 'pinging' sounds 😂😂
Some of these sounds reminds me of what i heard in Aliens.
This just makes me wonder how Matrix would fare against Dutch. Two of Arnold's characters who are both elite commandos.
I enjoy the realizism of "God mode"
