A powerhouse director. His collaborations with John Candy are legendary. So much talent for two guys both born in 1950. RIP, Mr Candy and Mr Hughes. Thank you for your cinematic contributions to our lives. Your films have touched many people's lives and for that, we are forever grateful. Thank you, both.

In the few segments of him speaking, John Hughes comes across as very concise. He communicates well and has written great lines, but he doesn’t seem to enjoy hearing himself talk.

Having ideas and talking about having ideas is a completely different realm.

John Hudges was a fantastic filmmaker. But Home Alone despite being a success really was the start of a new era for him to go into slapstick mode. He always kept the same formula from Home Alone into Dennis the Menace, Baby's Day Out, 101 Dalmatians and Flubber.
But despite the hate from critics, he did manage to hit the Box-Office with most of them.

Some things are meant to be and in turn success takes care of its own.
