I agree, those are goosebump inducing harmonies! So beautiful, so tight, so PTX! Yes, it's Kirstin on the 2nd verse with her lovely vibrato. I agree that Matt has really come on and sounds great with both bass and baritone harmonies at various points. All members of PTX have crazy wide ranges and are able to make various contributions to build up the harmonies.
Hey Dennis! While the pace of the song was slower, I appreciating them taking their time and making it so beautiful with the harmonies and arrangement! Like Brad said, it was very relevant and reflective. While this song by Stevie was never considered a Christmas song, PTX definitely made it their own and now, I see their version as a Christmas song! Love this! Thank you so much for your reaction to this!
I loved it when Kirstin came in as the 2nd voice and harmonized with Scott at the end. They were all amazing! Obviously Kevin was singing too. This version is incredible. The complexity of the arrangement is unreal. From beginning to end, this was a delight. I'm so glad you shared your reaction to it!
These combined sliding harmonies remind me of "Light in the Hallway" It will always sound so brilliant and gives me the "chicken skin" every time i listen to it. This song has the same effect to me, it's gorgeous! Great reaction Dennis; I love your channel! Onward and upward to 70k subscribers! Peace and love bro!
Roll Tide! My Dad's in Mobile so I inherited being a fan😊 Anywho, I have to say that while I appreciate Stevie Wonders version of this I've been burnt out on that version for years, but this arrangement is so phenomenal that I heard it completely new! We shouldn't be so amazed with them any more right, but they're too good not to be!
🧡 Pentatonix ! Nice rendition. A bit disappointed, however, that my own expectations was hoping that they might pick up the pace and rock it out a bit mid-way through, but that's just me. On a personal note, Dennis, it's good to see you back and in good form. Hope all your current concerns are working out well, or that some had to be discarded for your own wellbeing. Thanks for the reaction. PTX is always great. Believe in Youself. Be You.
I thought it was Stevie Wonder who originated this song. I'm confused. Anyway....great reaction, especially the last chorus. Are you going to be able to see their Christmas concert somewhere? This arrangement was the best PTX arrangement so far, in my opinion. I hope they get some serious attention with this cover.

Always looking forward to your insight and reaction to videos. I might or not agree but I come for your opinion not to mirror mine. Anyways some PTX videos that are done in public places and not the studio. These are about 8 to 9 years old. 1.
Dennis I'm sure you know the original artist. The original artist Lionel Ritchie, is a great musician, did great work with the commodores as well. Anywho, he was from Alabama. Just pointing that out. Love the reaction. Yes, Kirsten sang the second verse. I believe Kevin was high harmonies, or supplementing the lower octaves. Great reaction. Have a great 2nd half of the week. Your comment on being able to control outside environment, was spot on. You can't control how someone reacts, only control how you react to it.💯
I liked that cover, but I have to admit to being a little disappointed by it at the same time. I mean, it was nice, it was pretty, but there was nothing really outstanding about it. You know? I mean, if it came up in conversation, I'd let people know about it, but it's not anything I'm going to text my friends the link to, saying "You need to listen to this!" I guess I've just gotten to used to PTX really knocking things out of the park, plus all the high-energy stuff Home Free and VoicePlay have been putting out, this just doesn't compare.
I'm going to disagree with you... respectfully. This 100% fits the PTX Christmas vibe. It will seamlessly slide into their Playlist for the Christmas tour. And I love that it's another not meant to be Christmas, but it is and yet can be listened to all year.
Sign of these crown jewels' versality is the ability to strip it down, and slow it down to the vulnerability of their raw, unmatched harmonic talent. Yet, on the other hand, the band can crank it up to no limit as in most of the new original songs on The Lucky Ones (Deluxe); ..."Space" remix and Midnight in Tokyo collaborations; Petals, etc. PTX is also dynamic and upbeat in the recent mashup of BTS's Butter x Dynamite. This is an enthralling cover of I Just Called ... and Dennis, thanks for your great reaction.
First off, the complexity of the harmonies is not something every run-of-the-mill music group can do! This song was never meant to be high energy. It’s someone calling their one true love just to tell them “I love you” for no other reason than they simply wanted to do so. It’s meant to be a caress, not a run around a racetrack
Matt is exceptional!
Great reaction. Thank you. That performance gave me goosebumps too. That arrangement is incredibly beautiful and they executed it beautifully.

This album is gonna be another masterpiece, I can already tell. They just keep getting better and better with every new release.

Great harmonies as always. You haven't seen their appearance on Little Big Shots yet. What day is it?🐪

Hi Dennis have you done Chris Rupp-I'm moving on?
Yup...it's somewhere on the channel

Actually the original artist of the song is Stevie Wonder
@@lauracottom7425 you're absolutely right. I totally missed that being a Stevie Wonder song. Thanks for catching that.
Don’t feel bad. I first thought it was Lionel Ritchie too.

I respectfully disagree too. I was hooked when I really listened to the complex harmonies. Not all songs need to be headbangers.
