I wanna tell you a story. A few years ago, I moved from Middle school to High school. It was big moment for me and pretty much everyone else. We really *were* big kids now. I walked home, Daft Punk playing off my school computer (we turned those things into the school during the summer). Life was clearly good, a summery day full of excitement for the mini-"graduation" that would be happening later that evening. I would be dressing up, and wearing my fedora for special events. I decided to snoop around on YT for a little while, in between everything that was happening. I stumbled across a remix of the Wii Shop theme somewhere or other. This very song, potentially the same exact video. I loved it. I couldn't get it out of my head for the rest of the day. Once I was dressed for the occasion, I sat down again at the same computer I type this from, slapped on my headphones, and enjoyed a few more moments of unadulterated joy from hearing this again. I was humming this throughout my mini-"Graduation", and managed to get the girl next to me telling me, "Can you please stop humming, it's quite annoying." I stopped just in case she tried to kill me :,) . I'm much older than that, and heard this again in some random vid (ua-cam.com/video/C4j23TOlgv8/v-deo.html), and it feels so surreal that I found a childhood memory that I hadn't seen for a while.
